A mixed bag of acts close out the Qualifiers. Some were weak such as the Travis Japan boy group, Max Ostler the dancer, Blade 2 Blade knives, and Jordan Conley the comic. Middle-pack acts missing a bit were Mervant Vera magic, Kristy Sellars the pole video dancer and the Urban Crew dance group. That leaves a tight contest for the two passes. The yo-yo guy Shu Takada was unique enough to get up to 4th. Good vocalists reign and Christine Cruz was slightly better than Aubrey Burchell despite Cowell's putdown, pick one. That leaves the Mayyas dance act as the best of the evening. They seem to need a narrow focal view so not sure how they would translate to a stage show.

Among others, a Kate Smith/Janis Joplin wannabe, a prestidigitator/rapper, a troop of backup singer/dancers who backed up nothing, an interpretive dancer/acrobat who was up for interpretation, a stand-up/sit-down/stand-up/sit-down "wild card" joker, a poles apart pole dancer/climber, a knife throwing/pole dancing act and a hip-hopping squad of hula hooper/gymnasts all trod the boards in Pasadena tonight.
Las Vegas has a bottomless pool of perspiring aspirants.
There is/was something/plenty for everyone/everybody! The audience alone consisted of 600 characters.
