It's okay
shareen_shany15 November 2022
Another legal drama is mainly what's going on in the prosecution office. Betrayal, deceit & corruption. Funnily enough, it's nearly always the bad eggs are on the top of the chain, the good ones doing the work!

A young, misbehaved rookie prosecutor who can be considered good trying hard to uphold justice.

Few things about this criminal drama.

1. What's with the hairstyle & and attire? He looks like a hooligan teenager having a bad hair day than a prosecutor!

2. A bad guy turns out to be good & the good guy turns out to be bad!

They are willing to sell their soul for career advancement & be a puppet for the rich & powerful. Predictable.

3. The rookie prosecutor frame for murder. Predictable.

4. They plan, succeeded temporarily & fail! Repeat!

Fter a few times, you expect that they will fail again!

It's an ok show, action mystery & comedy.

BEST CRIME SERIES
xXx_TINKYWINKY_xXx22 October 2022
I love that the first episode has a lot of action and things going on. Usually first episodes are really boring, but definitely not this one.

And usually crime series are very serious, but this one has so much comedy. There is also a lot of action, making the drama really fun to watch. And it's really keeping me on the edge.

The pace is also really good. Not too slow.

It's a must watch.

Even if you don't like crime series, I am sure you will like this one.

I think I will be watching this multiple times.

I really hope it gets another season.

The cast is also amazing, especially Do Kyungsoo.

His acting is the best.

AN ENGROSSING FUN SERIES

Honestly, it's a really fun drama to watch! The action scenes could've been better or the director's style maybe I'm not familiar with I don't know but Doh Kyungsoo's character and his portayal of him is quite fun already. The story itself is similar to the other works that exists already in the genre but it still has a gripping side to it! The comedy side of Korean dramas always seem to not stick with me but this one definitely has a brand new take on it and I very much like it. I'm only two episodes in yet but I can't wait to watch more of it! Also the OST is pretty good, may I add. Since the our very own EXO's D. O. and SUHO and artists like them sing it.

Really loves doh kyungsoo acting in this drama. He shows a lot of silly behaviours that makes me laugh a lot in the middle of my assignments, even if i feel stressed out but he gotta makes me laugh lol hahahaa. And now that he leaves SM i feel so grateful. Now is the time for me to reciprocate for him, and now that he released popcorn song it really makes it become addictive hahhahaha. I wanna watch this a lot of time because it is really fun and never get bored. Just by seeing kyungsoo eulgul it makes my heart warms. Thank you doh kyumgsoo for existing i will never left you behind okay,, even if my age is 10 years younger than him i still love his art as it is.

Not Good Enough
PennyReviews2 January 2023
Korean Drama " Bad Prosecutor " threw reality out the window in exchange for comedy, but failed to deliver any laughter.

First of all, if you are a fan of Doh Kyung Soo you won't be disappointed. He does a great job with his performance and he is energetic and fun to watch. The rest of the cast, especially the leading lady, also did a great job with their characters and their performances were flawless. The chemistry was overflowing between them as well.

On the other hand, the rest of the drama was a huge disappointment. The story is basic corruption in the mists of those in power, with very few surprises. However, the ways the main character tried to bring them to justice were unrealistic and over the top, not to mention criminal, even though he is never punished for his actions. Thus, the twists got unbelievable as well.

Next up is the soundtrack. Not that the songs weren't good, but they were added in scenes that didn't fit their vibe.

Finally, the comedy aspect was weak, as the scenes were made overexaggerating which resulted into them being idiotic not funny.

So, overall, 3 out of 10.

Bad Prosecutor really is....... bad
na-0906922 May 2023
Unfortunately, this show lacked to deliver on all points. Full of movie cliches and lines. I should have stopped watching when I saw a body fall from a high building. And how does a body fall..... Exactly: always on it's back on a parked car. Sooooo boring. Maybe this show was aimed at a teenage or younger audience.

I kept on watching because I admire Kim Sang Ho. He is absolutely great. But his performance couldn't save this show, neither could the excellent performances of these very good actors Kim Chang Wan, Choi Kwang-Il and Kim Tae-Woo.

Lee Se-Hee was at no point believable. Definitely not as the superior of the main character. Do Kyung-Soo made his character much too slick, totally unconvincing. Too cliché in his sort of arrogant teenage acting showing too much an almost frightening twisting of his lips especially on his right side, making it look like a super enlarged mouth twist of an Elvis having Parkinson.

I was hoping it would get better, but this TV series looked like a video clip for Do Kyung-Soo, who has still so much to learn where acting is concerned. Ha Jun looked more promising to me. He was definitely much more in the moment; controlling his world as Oh Do-hwan, but he also doesn't have the depth of a solid actor yet. But I'm almost sure he will.

The camera work wasn't too impressive I'm sorry to say and the directing lacked to give any surprises, although the many ridiculous plot twists may let you sniff at.

All in all, a very bad show if it wasn't for the excellent performances of the actors, I've mentioned in the second paragraph. One point each for those four actors.

Justice Not Served!
Park_Min16 February 2024
The bad prosecutor didn't live up to his name, at least not for the entirety of the drama. The first 4 episodes were decent but the rest were an imitation of its previous spark. Everything up to the final confrontation of the first guy was enjoyable but everything turned into a generic prosecutor/team drama afterwards. No more of the bad prosecutor attitude and his appeal almost diminished, there was a small recovery around the end but it was already too late. Speaking of teams, the sidekicks were pretty bad at being a sidekick especially Baek Eun Ji, just horrible! The team in general lacked a good dynamic, the ML was pulling all the weight by himself. It could've been something decent if more care was put into it.

Just plain Bad
angelilota7 February 2023
The number of ridiculous plot twist is over the top and almost no character has a normal and coherent behaviour, may be the female lead though she is not a great actress

The only remarcable portrayal of a character should be the one delivered by Kim Sang Ho, but the script is just simply bad even for him to achieve anything enjoyable.

The team of comic secondary characters at least is somehow funny, probably thats why there is only a few moments with them on screen, writters probably run out of ideas.

Avoid unless you are a hardcore fan of the male lead, because thats all you will get, lots of close-ups of his face trying to deliver some emotion I just couldnt identify.

Bad indeed
rnixon197412 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the premiere of this series.

The writing in this episode ranged from lackluster to execrable, and the acting was no better.

This show does not take prosecution of criminals seriously ( the central theme of the program), so viewers should not take this subject as presented seriously in this context.

This seems to be an attempt at a police series with some A-Team style mayhem added. Kyung Soo-Do delivers lines worthy of Hannibal and Baracus, all but sneering at the camera while doing so. The rest of the cast are no more adept.

Boys who have yet to graduate from junior high will probably enjoy this South Korean take on Law & Order meets less than well thought out violence. Almost no one else will.
