There's actually a fascinating dynamic between the teen characters here. Despite her rather cruel rejection and generally unsympathetic attitude, Dexter seems desperate to help Ruby and his efforts are really quite sweet.Romeo also remains oddly sympathetic to them both, while Indi is polite but her views are clouded by past events.Throw in some rather unhelpful badgering from Roo and it all leads up to a subtle cliffhanger.
Meanwhile, Casey is furious to find out what Tyler's up to and the dynamic between them is interesting as well, with Casey taking a dominant role but clearly frustrated by Tyler's myopic behaviour.John, meanwhile, keeps several dice in the air as he tries to cut his ties with Dennis, who seems to be making an awful lot of promises he's going to find very hard to keep.
