Very dark, and tense; from the same team who are making the "Doctor Who Project", the Basement Film Group.

"Lullaby is the tragic story of Amanda. When the wolf is at the door, she can see no way out. This fairytale doesn't end with a happy ever after."

A very troubled mother Amanda is suffering a mentally low period. She has holed herself up in her home, and is a cause for concern.

Outside an anxious male is fretting and pacing, on the doorstep whilst banging on her front door. He is accompanied by a worried neighbour, and policeman. Amanda pays no attention. She is deep in her own world clinging to her infant's belongings, and reading the story of the 'Three Little Pigs' aloud to a clearly empty room. Lost in her thoughts she stares at the empty Moses basket, then a newborn baby photo, before deciding to take matters into her own hands. She wants to beat the 'Big Bad Wolf' in her story, and she knows how she is going to do it.

"Lullaby" is a dark and gritty impressive short, which is brimming with convincing sadness, distress, and tension throughout. The eerie, yet soothing, lullaby gently chiming in the background compliments and maintains the melancholy mood of the story.

Rachael Harding gives a fine performance. Her character is convincing, she grips the viewer's attention, and she makes us feel her pain. This story is clear, yet ambiguous. We don't know Amanda's history, or what happened to her infant. We don't know if we should sympathise, or be appalled by her actions. The intelligent residue of this production is the wonder we have as we are left guessing and assuming every possible scenario and explanation for Amanda's predicament. "Lullaby" does not look like fiction, because it is so believable, and real.
