Throughout the past several seasons of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio’s involvement in the MTV series has primarily been to attend the series’ vacations. Is that why he appears sporadically on Jsfv?
Has Pauly D gotten a new gig?

The best thing you can say about The Show With Vinny — MTV’s latest Jersey Shore franchise extension — is that the concept isn’t half bad. Vinny Guadagnino was the most believable human being on the Jersey Shore cast, the only person on the show who didn’t gradually morph into a cartoonish self-parody. He was also genuinely funny — his riffs with hetero-lifemate Pauly D lent the show a slight air of self-awareness.

Although it seemed like MTV were doing the world a serious favor when they announced that they were taking Jersey Shore off of life support and cancelling the hell out of it, it still won’t be safe to flick past the channel in hope of avoiding the show’s fame-hungry reprobates because almost every member of the gang has been granted their own spin-off.
Which means Snooki will still have the power to scare you if you happen to pick the wrong time of night to browse. So, yes, Vinny Guadagnino is also getting his own show now, which will probably be called Vinny (going by the creative stint that seems to have dominated the names of the other cast member’s shows: Snooki, Jwwow and The Pauly D Project). MTV knows we want all the "Jersey Shore" it can give us. Thus, with the end of that hit series, it's time to keep the spinoffs rolling. The newest one? "The Show with Vinny," a reality/talk show starring Vinny Guadagnino.
Yes, Vinny will soon join the ranks of Snooki, Jwoww and Pauly D with his very own show.
Unlike most talk shows, taped decorously in a studio with an audience, "The Show with Vinny" will take place entirely in the Guadagnino family home on Staten Island. With his family present. The guests will just have to put up with the commentary and questioning of Vinny's mom, Paula, and his "party boss" Uncle Nino. As the network describes the show in its press release, this new talk show will consist of "family, food and big friggin' stars."

With Jersey Shore nearing its end, another cast member of the blockbuster reality series is staying at MTV with a new show. The network has greenlighted hybrid talk show/reality series The Show With Vinny hosted by Jersey Shore‘s Vinny Guadagnino. Executive produced by Jersey Shore mastermind SallyAnn Salsano of 495 Prods, the series will be set at Guadagnino’s family home in Staten Island, NY. The Show With Vinny, which sounds a lot like UK’s The Kumars At No. 42, combines the reality of Guadagnino’s home life with off-the-cuff and unscripted interviews with stars invited over to break bread. It will feature a host of real characters from Guadagnino’s personal life, from his ultimate hostess mother Paula to party boss Uncle Nino and more. Celebrities will share a meal and a candid conversation about whatever comes up complete with lots of commentary from Vinny’s peanut gallery of loved ones.

MTV has never been shy about overextending a successful franchise into oblivion. The Jersey Shore franchise is validating the old adage that “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” The second spinoff from the blockbuster reality series, Snooki & JWoww, drew 2.4 million viewers in its debut last night. That was a third of the audience that tuned in for the most recent Jersey Shore season premiere. Snooki & JWoww also debuted lower that the first Jersey Shore spinoff, The Pauly D Project, which opened with 2.9 million viewers in March, a sign that the multiple spinoffs are likely diluting the franchise. Overall, 2.4 million is an Ok number, on par with MTV’s reality staple Teen Mom, but given Snooki’s status of a pop culture and tabloid fixture, the premiere probably should’ve done better. In its defense, Snooki & JWoww had the tentpole 10 Pm position while Pauly D aired at 10:30 behind Punk’d. Among persons 12-34, Snooki & JWoww averaged a 2.1 rating...

MTV’s second Jersey Shore spin-off Snooki & JWoww wasn’t expected to come close to the ratings of the mega-hit mothership. But you’d expect the girls to be more competitive, with, for instance, The Pauly D Project.

Still, that premiere is going to get compared to the 2.9 million who tuned in for Pauly D’s spinoff last March. Maybe the difference is that Snooks had to self-start at 10 p.

A conference room on the 37th floor of a Manhattan office building seems an unlikely setting for two women known for their antics on beaches and in bars.
Snooki and Jwoww of "Jersey Shore" fame are sequestered in this room, attended by a hairstylist and a publicist, to promote their spinoff, "Snooki & Jwoww," launching Thursday, June 21, on MTV.
Capitalizing on the phenomenon that is "Jersey Shore," the women's unscripted series follows their housemate's show, DJ Pauly D's "The Pauly D Project" on Thursdays, part of MTV's campaign to keep Thursday "Jerzday."
"I'm excited to show a different side of us, not partying," Snooki, who is five months pregnant, tells Zap2it.
"Yeah, well, I'm partying," Jwoww says.

"Jersey Shore" has made celebrities out of a group of incredibly tan, fist-pumping, booze-guzzling young people who've rocked Seaside Heights, NJ -- and Miami and Italy -- for the past three years on MTV.
But like Pauly D before them with "The Pauly D Project," two of the show's leading ladies -- Snooki and JWoww -- are now venturing off on their own with a self-titled spinoff, "Snooki & JWoww" (premieres Thurs., June 21, 10 p.m. Et on MTV).
Despite some struggles settling on a location, the guidettes eventually moved into a converted firehouse in Jersey City, where, of course, some drama went down. Snooki revealed to JWoww that she's pregnant and engaged, and so the best friends' upcoming spinoff finds the alcohol-free ladies doing lots of shopping and dealing with some complications, including taking care of a simulated baby and "unexpected drama ... boyfriend-girlfriend stuff," JWoww told HuffPost TV.

Tonight on The Pauly D Project, the boys head down to Puerto Rico where Pauly is opening for none other than Britney Spears. Oh, and he gets a lap dance from her. Ya know, no big deal. Just Britney vag in the blowout.
Yes, I went there. Sorry.
Anyway, I caught up with some of the guys from the show (Ryan, Jerry and JRoc, to be exact) while on the red carpet of last week's MTV Movie Awards. They dished on what's coming up on the show and more! Check it out:

I’m not sure where Guido Jesus is right now, but I hope that he’s somewhere beating up the beat in a Juicehead Orange toga and a tan that would make Mike Sorrentino blush blue, because those heathens who ruined his truth and his word are finally being laid to rest. Everyone Fist Pump In Song And Praise! In Touch is exclusively revealing (or whatever) that the sixth season of Jersey Shore will be the last for original castmates Snooki, JWoww, Pauly D, The Situation, Vinny, Sammi, Ronnie, and Deena. The best part is—despite being warned to “bring their A game” for the show’s final episodes—the eightsome didn’t seem too upset by the news. Which is fine, because you can bet your ass that the franchise will roll on without them, and Jersey Shore could use a new dose of highly dysfunctional and completely terrible...

Is Season 6 of "Jersey Shore" the boozy MTV reality show's last season with the original cast?
A new report from In Touch claims "Jersey Shore" is ending its run with its original cast members, but an MTV rep disputed the report, telling HuffPost TV that "no decision has been made yet on a final season."
According to In Touch, the cast was told the show was coming to an end when they arrived in Seaside Heights to begin filming Season 6 on May 31.
The show's upcoming season has been in a state of turmoil and transition, as its two biggest stars have dealt with upheaval in their personal lives. The Situation is newly out of rehab, and reports have emerged that his sober living companion may be staying in the house with the roommates. Snooki announced several months ago that she was pregnant, and MTV responded by boasting they would be...

It all began when Pauly posted a link to his new music video for the track "Night of My Life." He asked his fans, followers and Twitter in general, "So how do you like the video?" Mau5 apparently checked it out and didn't like what he saw.

On "The Pauly D Project" (Thu., 10:30 p.m. Et on MTV) DJ Pauly D and the guys got in touch with their feminine side as they prepped for a photo shoot by having a little personal grooming.
They headed to a Las Vegas salon where the estheticians waxed and stripped all their excess facial hair. Including horrifying amounts of nostril hair.
Who knew Big Jerry was hiding all that up his nose?
Unlike his buddies, Pauly D managed to tough it out and not scream when he had his nostrils waxed, but afterward he admitted that it hurt. A lot.

We always suspected Pauly D was doing alright for himself, what with the 50 Cent and Britney Spears collabos. And that’s not even considering the monies he made beating up the beat for his spin-off The Pauly D Project. In case you were wondering exactly how much the Jersey Shore star is pulling in, however, a new lawsuit brought by his former management company claims it is, to put it bluntly, a buttload. According to the complaint filed by ICM, the talent agency allegedly helped Pauly wrangle $100,000 an episode for Season Four, in addition to a “$200,000 ‘thank you’ bonus.” For Season 5, he earned $150,000 per episode and a $400,000 signing bonus. Hey, remember when Pauly and Vinny spent an entire episode moving patio furniture into the living room as a practical joke? Yeah, we need to go lie down for a minute before we finish this post.

Forget The Pauly D Project: ICM is interested in Pauly D’s paycheck, and it’s taking the Jersey Shore star to court to get some of it. In a 16-page civil complaint filed in La Superior Court yesterday, the talent agency says its former client owes it more than $370,000 in past commissions from the hit MTV reality series. And ICM says Paul DelVecchio, his real name, also owes it more than $200,000 from the upcoming season of Jersey Shore. The suit says that it’s “standard custom and practice” for talent agencies to receive “post-termination commissions on all deals they negotiate for their client.” Pauly D left ICM on May 5, 2011, after less than a year. DelVecchio is now represented by Wme which negotiated his current Pauly D Project spin-off series. It debuted on MTV on March 29, 2012. Bryan Freedman and Brian Turnauer of Freeman & Taitelman Llp are representing ICM. Saying...

Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio has been sued by his former agency ICM, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Pauly D Project's Posse: More lovable than the cast of Jersey Shore
The lawsuit, filed on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, says that the company helped the reality star earn a hefty paycheck after a successful first season of Jersey Shore. Pauly D and ICM had a verbal agreement that entitled the company to 10 percent of DelVecchio's business opportunities. After getting 10 percent commission for the MTV show's second season, ICM was fired by Pauly D, but now claims it is owed subsequent profit totaling $370,000 for the past two seasons of the series.

Viewers continue to see a somewhat deeper side of DJ Pauly D as "The Pauly D Project" (Thu., 10:30 p.m. Et on MTV). In this third episode, Pauly started his residency at his new gig, and right away there was some chaos and drama on the floor.
It continued back in the suite when a drunk girl who came back with them started stirring up some trouble, citing "bad energy" in the room. It was Ryan who took control of the situation, keeping a cool head and his grip on his pizza, as he slowly corralled the girl toward her purse and finally convinced her that it was time to go.
But perhaps the most shocking moment came when Pauly found a woman to connect with, and not in the way he would normally on "Jersey Shore." There seemed to be a genuine emotional connection between him and Christina.

Ryan Labbe must be a big fan of "Jersey Shore" because he tried to inject some of its drunken revelry into the second episode of "The Pauly D Project" (Thu., 10:30 p.m. Et on MTV). The social director went way beyond social drinking and into the realm of blackout drunk, complete with the negative attitude adjustment and lack of self-awareness that goes with it.
He started picking a fight for no reason, as Biggie pointed out. Jerry tried to rein him in, but he simply didn't care. Why not? It's not like he was going to remember any of it the following morning, so why not make their time in the club memorable for everybody else.
It's perhaps not the best face to put out there for Pauly's career as a DJ, but when it comes to reality television, Ryan is just the infusion of drunken craziness this show...
