Keith Urban is joining the U.S. version of The Voice.
The Ripcord star, who has previously starred as a coach and a judge on the Australian version of the singing format, will become a “mega mentor” on Season 25 of the NBC series.
Urban will join coaches Chance the Rapper, Dan + Shay, John Legend and Reba McEntire to mentor the remaining artists on the show, which kicked off its latest season in February.
The teams are now preparing for the knock out rounds, having got through the battle rounds.
It comes ahead of Urban’s latest record, which is coming out later this year.
Urban was a coach on the first season of The Voice Australia in 2011, alongside Seal, Joel Madden and Delta Goodrem but left ahead of season two and was replaced by Ricky Martin. He returned for season 10, replacing Boy George, alongside Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian and Rita Ora,...

After 10 seasons, “The Masked Singer” is getting a panel shake-up — but theoretically, it should only be temporary. Rita Ora will be stepping in for Nicole Scherzinger for Season 11.
The change comes as Scherzinger prepares to star in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Sunset Boulevard.” Performances begin this month, and the show is set to run for 16 weeks.
Unfortunately for Scherzinger, the show spans the filming of Season 11 of “The Masked Singer,” which began this month.
Ora is no stranger to “The Masked Singer,” being an alum of “The Masked Singer UK.” She’s also helped out on “The Voice Australia,” as well as “The X-Factor UK,” and will join all the Og panelists for the 2024 season, guesting alongside Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg.

As “The Masked Singer” panelist Nicole Scherzinger returns to London’s West End this month, starring as Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, the show has found a suitable substitute: Singer/songwriter Rita Ora. Ora, who is no stranger to the format as a panelist for “The Masked Singer UK,” will take the U.S. “Masked Singer” panelist chair alongside Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg and Robin Thicke throughout Season 11, now shooting (and set to air in midseason).
Of course, Scherzinger will still be seen this fall on Season 10 of “The Masked Singer,” which taped earlier this year and returned with a special episode this past Sunday (featuring the unmasking of Demi Lovato). “The Masked Singer” returns for its regular Season 10 on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. Et.

In the last five years, Rita Ora has seemingly been everywhere: in the tabloids, as a panelist on The Masked Singer, a coach on The Voice Australia, in a handful of film roles including a supporting stint in Pokémon Detective Pikachu and collaborating on a smattering of singles with artists like Kygo, David Guetta and Tiësto. From surprise weddings to couples you didn't know were dating, it's been a wild week in celebrity couples news, and it seems like we could be adding Taika Waititi and Rita Ora to the list. On May 16, the duo were seen grabbing breakfast together in Sydney, Australia, where Rita is in town to film The Voice Australia and Taika was most recently filming Thor: Love and Thunder. They were spotted laughing and holding hands across the table before the 45-year-old director planted a kiss on the 30-year-old singer's hand. Taika was later seen with his arm around Rita as they went for a walk around town.
The couple first sparked romance rumors after Rita posted a pic of the pair in a gallery on Instagram alongside the caption, "Good times, memories, random things on my phone and the ones I love." In the photo, the two appear to be in...

Last week Screen Producers Australia CEO Matt Deaner slammed the government’s decision to suspend the quotas for drama, documentary and children’s programming as a very blunt tool which has the “potential of crippling an industry already on its knees.”

A “Bachelor” special leading up to the dating competition’s new season didn’t quite stake much of a claim in the mini-battle. Thanks mostly to “The Voice,” NBC won primetime outright. ABC finished runner-up in the key 18-49 demographic, though CBS was No. 2 among total viewers. The time has arrived on The Voice -- not to crown a winner, not yet anyway. No, the most brutal time in any Voice iteration has finally hit season 13. The cast of contestants is about to be cut in half again, moving from a Top 8 to a Top 4 in one fell swoop. The eliminations in season 13 have been a bit hard to nail down, but at this point in the competition, the frontrunners are becoming much clearer. This should, in theory, make the final artists evident, but let's dive in and predict them anyway. Here are my predictions for who will be competing in The Voice season 13 finals!

Good grief! Christmas specials are in full swing, and the networks dusted off some of their biggest classics last week: ABC’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and CBS’ “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” In their inaugural 2017 runs, “Rudolph” (2.1 among adults 18-49) edged out “Charlie Brown” (1.8), giving a ratings edge to the reindeer with a very shiny nose.
“Rudolph,” which premiered in 1964, and “Charlie Brown,” which first bowed in 1965, are considered the key staples in a sea of primetime holiday specials, some of which have come and gone over the years. But both specials were overshadowed this year by a newcomer: “DreamWorks Trolls Holiday,” which averaged a 2.4 rating when it aired on Nov. 24, during the Thanksgiving weekend.
But there are plenty of caveats to all of this, since none of the specials actually faced off in the same time slot. “A Charlie Brown Christmas” performed respectably considering it aired in a tough Thursday 8 p.

It turns out there’s enough to go around ratings-wise on Thursday night. NBC has taken hold of the Thursday Night Football package, which it shares with CBS (both of whom simulcast with NFL Network), and its fortunes on the night have grown substantially. Now with two nights of NFL, plus staples like “This Is Us” and “The Voice,” NBC easily won the week ending November 12 in adults 18-49, and scored its first total viewers victory of the season.
But on Thursday nights, ABC and CBS also have reason to crow in the 8 p.m. hour: “Grey’s Anatomy,” which just hit its 300th episode, remains a potent force. Warning: The following Q&A contains major spoilers for The Blacklist‘s Season 5 fall finale. Proceed with caution.
During its four previous seasons, The Blacklist put Tom Keen through the physical and emotional wringer time and again — and he somehow survived all of it.
Getting tortured and stabbed in the pilot episode? No problem. Tied up and left to waste away on a boat in Season 2? Piece of cake. Chased by assassins at his own Season 3 wedding? Bring. It. On. (He even survived the cancellation of his spinoff series, which is perhaps the most impressive of all.)

Though Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead was the third in a row to feature almost non-stop smackdowns and shoot-’em-ups, battle fatigue and fatalities were beginning to be less of a concern than crises of conscience. In fact, the speed at which sides were forming (with Daryl, Morgan and Tara on Team Kill ’Em All, and Jesus, suddenly Rick and maybe Maggie on Team Live and Let Live) strongly suggested that, before the Saviors were vanquished, the allied forces would be fighting one another. Which characters wouldn’t still be around to see the conflict resolved? Read on…...

The World Series ended in heartbreak for the Los Angeles Dodgers — as the Houston Astros secured their first championship in club history — but it was a tremendous success for Fox. And for at least one week, baseball was once again America’s favorite pastime, dominating over the NFL.
According to Fox, the network averaged 18.9 viewers across all seven games, the second-best audience for a World Series since 2009. The series was down 19 percent from last year’s historic Chicago Cubs win, which also went to seven games (23.4 million), but it topped 2015 by 29 percent (14.7 million) and 2014 by 37 percent (13.8 million).
For the week ending Oct. 29, World Series Game 5 was the most-watched program, at 19.1 million viewers, and second only to “The Walking Dead” in adults 18-49. Among viewers, all five of the week’s World Series games (the final two will be reflected in next week’s ranker), beat the top NFL game of the week.

Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead was almost wall-to-wall action, with various groups of Rick’s allied forces continuing their assault on the Saviors. Yet the most exciting part of the hour didn’t come until the very end, when we were reintroduced to a character that few if any of us ever expected to see again — that is, if we remembered him in the first place. Who was it? Read on…
