Engaging and Fun
WiseYoungOwl23 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Once again I am impressed! The show makes it immediately apparent that although it generally looks great and the plot and pacing are good, it will succeed on the strength of the chemistry of the actors (old and young ). The pacing remains robust and balanced, making each episode feel full and engaging. Learning who is in the Court of Owls has made for plenty of brainworms to keep me wondering where things will go next week.

Pluses- -great ensemble work overall by the kids
  • stylish and well-paced
-Misha collins in a suit that fits (a blessing)
  • Yet again Duela is a stand-out (both vulnerable and brash, truly fascinating)
  • the scene with Talon and Duela was chilling
-Now I understand why Misha was so weird about the mail cart in the BTS video he did😳
  • I love the sets on this show. They are so fun to look at and feel so atmospheric

Minuses- -the rappelling scene was a little cheesy and I find the actor who plays Robin often rushes her lines slightly, making it hard to understand her.

I find Turner to still be a bit of a blank cypher (this may very well be purposeful as he grows into himself, (but next to immediately vibrant characters like Duela and the siblings he can come off a bit flat, I hope to see this change).

Overall I was really entertained and I can't wait for next week!

Phenomenal, episode
vickybaxter23 March 2023
I was eagerly awaiting this episode to watch how they would proceed with the Gotham dynamic. Olivia, Fallon, Tyler, Oscar, Navia, and Anna are superb actors, and play their characters with energetic and ease. Like layers of an onion, the story has just started to unravel, and it makes you want to thirst for more. You get small glimpses into the kids' backgrounds, who and what they are and who they want to be. I'm already developing my favourites and cheer them on and that's fast for a show that's on its second episode. Though I'm not sure what Harvey Dent is doing at the moment. This, in fact, puzzles me the most. He stands around looking pissed off at most of his scenes. Misha Collins is setting pretty in the background and there is no move on his character. I hope story develops, and he's not left in the background like an extra for much longer.

Interesting, but not exciting
thebatssidekick25 March 2023
I enjoyed this episode a bit more than the first, mostly because there were more action sequences. The line launcher was so cool to see, and that fight with the Talon was impressive. Shying away from the mystery until the last few scenes, this episode did center a bit around the high-school drama, which isn't inherently a bad thing, but for hardcore comic book fans it probably won't be your cup of tea. So far I've been comparing this show to the Arrowverse shows, which might not be fair in terms of its unique merits, but I do have to say that I was a lot more interested in shows like Arrow and Batwoman because of how integrated the action was within the stories. The vibe of this show is still a bit off. The word that comes to mind is "dull". The color grading, the costumes, the characters... I'm just not invested in any of it yet. I'm cutting it some slack though, as it is only the second episode.

The intrigue

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was so much better than pilot. There is dynamic. Fighting scenes were good. There was intense feeling when the team were coming to Waine tower. You can feel it inside yourself: just chills every time member of the Court of Owls appears on screen. It was good. Great costumes so kudos to the costume designer.

I like Druela and would like to know her character better. I like how scenes changes: there is no rush, transition between scenes is more pleasant. Maybe, it's director or maybe it's thanks to those who edited that episode but there was so much better than previous episode. So much better.

This episode has intrigue and some character development between Druela and Turner. I like their dynamic.

Wow

Warning: Spoilers
I liked this even better than the pilot episode It had some movie quality creepiness going on wow. I really am interested in knowing what Robin is up to ripping those pages out of Bruce's journal and also who the heck is the Tallon! It's also way more than obvious that at least one person Bruce Wayne trusted is in on this! I also think Brody has something to do with this.

There are some people giving this show horrible ratings without even watching it at all and I really wish those people would give it a chance because it's actually pretty good. Give the next generation some time to find their footing. I for one am really looking forward to seeing where they take us!

Another fantastic episode

Warning: Spoilers
This show just keeps getting better and better. I am hooked. To be honest my initial reason for watching Gotham Knights was Misha; who still my number one reason, but I am loving everyone in the cast. In this episode we get to see a more vulnerable side of Duela. She is still having trust issues but hopefully now she realizes she has people to count on. The scene with the packages, just... whoa. We knew about Ford, but the others. The Court of Owls is not playing around. Who is The Talon? He doesn't seem human. I'm glad Turner's fencing ability is coming into play and of course Bruce would encourage his son into activities that would train him for the future. That end fight scene was incredible. Go Robin! And I love how Cullen is speaking up for himself to make his own choices. Can't wait for next week.

Duella gonna learn!
nicola-8198430 March 2023
This episode was fun, and starts setting up the dynamic that these guys need to stick together to survive.

I loved Cullen's speech about clearing his name because it's his d*amned name that he's worked hard to have. I love Robin saving the day...

Duella going off alone and almost getting herself killed will hopefully be a wakeup call that there's safety in numbers, and these guys will help her. She's quite closed off and still very much out for herself, so I'm looking forward to her starting to open up, at least a tiny bit!

Great fight scene, kind of shows how out of their depth these kids are at this point.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing where this goes.

On the edge of my seat

Warning: Spoilers
"Scene of the Crime," Gotham Knights' second episode, was full of twists and surprises. We learn more about who's connected to The Court of Owls. Characters we saw in episode one we suspected are part of the COO are confirmed and deep into it. Duela , the Joker's daughter, continues to be self serving yet we also see her vulnerability. Robin saves the day on more than one occasion. Her character is essential to the fugitives success. However, Robin is hiding secrets that we won't know about I'm sure for quite a while.

Harvey Dent is still trying his hardest to hold it together and help prove Turner' innocence. While Brody seems to be offering assistance with Stephanie, he certainly doesn't appear to be entirely trustworthy. Overall the set design, lighting, costumes and musical score aid in creating a dark Gotham City with characters and plot twists that make me fascinated and anxious for more.

Better and better

Warning: Spoilers
Just watched episode 2 of Gotham Knights and liked it a lot! Definitely better, less rushed, got a better idea of the characters and there's a few mysteries to solve, it's intriguing. Still not convinced 100% about Robin but I wait for next episodes. Besides Harvey and Duela, Cullen is growing on me. I like that he's loyal and has no codependency with his sister. For now, I can't stand Brody. Misha is very good at performing Harvey, there's no resemblance with his previous character and this shows how good of an actor he is. And thanks to the costume designer, who dresses Misha always so elegant and charming!

Don't need Batman but..
carrie_rocks24 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I sincerely hope that we are going to get flashback with Batman/Bruce Wayne.from what I have seen so far, it seems like the story is being told from the middle. Some shows like to start at the end, and then jump back and fill in the blanks, but this show feels like it's right on the precipice of exploding.

It's all coming together. Turner is old enough to chose a side for himself. Bruce or Batman has angered the Owls enough to have them take him out the picture. The older generation has a story to tell and they are going to let it play out with the younger generation.

Honestly, I thought that the clothing raid was a little cheesy as was the escape from the office. They made up for it with the delivery/discovery of the contents of the boxes on the desk and in the trolley. I think that there are still some characters to flesh out and that is what will keep me coming back for more.

Oh, and Mr Harvey Dent himself, Misha Collins.
