The episode starts with a three-way argument between John, Gina and Marilyn that is surprising and also well-written and acted. The awkward apology that follows is another nice moment, with Emily Symons emphasising Marilyn's kooky qualities.John and Gina's eventual decision to temporarily separate seems a bit extreme however.Weaving its way through this is a subplot about Romeo storming around snapping at people, which we're apparently meant to think is out of character even though it's pretty much par for the course.Surely Liam deserves better than only being in the episode to get hit?
Meanwhile, there's some nice writing for Brax and Natalie's relationship, as her backstory gets a long overdue airing and she attempts to challenge him.His misplaced anger towards Casey continues to grate a bit though.Out in the desert, where Casey's apparently been lying unconscious all week(!), Kyle drops the clanger that he's Danny's son. While this is a shock for anyone who didn't already know or guess it, it doesn't really make a lot of sense yet so hopefully there's more to come.
