"So he only has to go to jail a couple of times a week?"
skteosk5 February 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This one suffers from too many characters in too small a space, much like the trial episodes last week. Most of the characters there feel out of place, which doesn't help, Tamara and Natalie in particular just seem to get in the way.Kyle works since he's supposed to be apart from the group and the scene between him and Heath, while conceptually a bit puzzling, works well on an emotional level.Brax and Natalie's flirting on the other hand is cringe-inducing.It's not clear how we're meant to feel at the end:Are we meant to cheer Kyle's arrest or are we meant to feel that he's hard done by after leaving a man chained up in a desert?

The Sid/Lisa stuff is squeezed into a small corner of the episode, meaning the rest of the focus is mostly on Dexter hiding his seizure from everyone for no real reason than that someone thought it would make good drama. It's really hard to care for anyone in this storyline given that most of them have been pretty unlikeable this season anyway and April's self-absorbed reaction to Dexter's news just takes the biscuit.
