Great atmosphere that feels like a movie trailer

I confess that I don't know much about Air except for this track and this very video which had some nice airplay on MTV and I was intrigued thinking that it was the trailer of a movie since there were a man and a woman talking in between moments of the song, and along with the whole L. A. atmosphere being shown, colorful and sunny, I kept thinking that it was some cool indie movie. In future ways, director Mike Mills would turn to movies, creating nice pictures such as "Beginners" (2011) and "20th Century Women".

In "All I Need" we have a couple being interviewed sharing their experiences, how their relationship work and what keeps them together. Their dialogues or solo interviews are intertwined along with the groovy and peaceful song, images from the streets of Ventura, the skateboarding community of which the couple are part of it, educating children about the sport. You can really feel love in the air but the mystery remains: actors or a real couple? Anyway, it feels very authentic their bond and how they express with themselves, and the sunny environment makes a perfect romantic background for them.

Thanks to its great exposure late at night I grew to love this song and it's part of my playlist for a long time, never gets old. In fact, it seems and feels more in tune with today than 1998. Or maybe it's just me. 9/10.
