A frustrating day for Dr. Nina Haddad and her team. On the streets day and night to help others, and in return they are insulted, threatened, insulted and spat at. But Nina lets it all slide away today. Because for a change she draws strength from her private life - she enjoys her love life. When her emergency ambulance is robbed during a mission, Nina has unpleasant suspicions. How big are emergency paramedic Paul's financial worries really? And could such a breach of trust even be repaired? Firefighter Markus also suffers a setback. He feels more than out of place at Nina's doctors' meeting. He also has to find out that Nina drops everything every time Emily calls. He realizes that Nina always puts patients first. The same goes for Paul: he feels responsible to the drug addict Netto when he threatens to jump off the bridge. Paul's plea for life convinces the entire rescue team. Nina is annoyed with herself. Did she really believe that she was the only woman in Markus' life?

Nina actually started out to save lives, but today's 24-hour shift will put her patience to the test. While patients who urgently need help do not want to accept help, others misuse the emergency call as a free taxi service. Nevertheless, Nina sensitively cares for a hypochondriac. This in turn drives emergency paramedic Paul into a corner because he cannot afford to work overtime in the custody battle over his little daughter. But the strenuous everyday working life has a positive side effect: Nina and Paul are growing together into a team. And as a good colleague, Paul also has a little warning ready: Fireman Markus, the station's "sonny boy", has his eye on Nina. But Nina wants to maintain professional boundaries. What she doesn't succeed in dealing with Emily is that she continues to look after her and allows the girl to trust her. When the team arrives late to a real emergency due to a trivial operation, Nina sees red for the first time.

For Dr. Nina Haddad is the emergency service on Neuland Street. But she urgently needed a new start - professionally and privately. The firefighters at Mannheim Station III welcome their new colleague warmly, but worlds collide here. During their first mission together - a man has fallen down a shaft - Nina has to make it clear that she will treat every patient without prejudice and sensitively. Because of all things, emergency paramedic Paul, the driver of the emergency vehicle, the colleague with whom Nina has to work most closely, has developed a cynical sense of humor over the years. After the rescue team rescues a single mother from her burning car, Nina cannot let go of the fate of her 14-year-old daughter. Firefighter Markus also feels this. He worries whether Nina will be able to maintain professional boundaries.
