Get ready to say goodbye to Aidan again
stefanchikm-201817 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The series overall I give a 9, but this episode only gets a 7, and here's why.

I was wondering what ridiculous plot device they would use to get rid of Corbett. This episode answered that question. I was annoyed when Carrie dumped Aidan in the original series, and it looks like she may do so again. He will ask her to move to VA to be close to his kids, and she will say no.

Aidan's meltdown over his son's car accident was a bit over the top. His 14 year old kid hitchhiked 30 miles, stole his truck, and crashed into a tree, and he blames himself? Seriously? Well, I'm one of those parents that believes if you raise your kids right, they will still screw up and make mistakes. That's not on you. It's part of growing up.

Carrie really is not a good friend.
Mothership818 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What's the go with Carrie never defending Miranda from Che's nasty tongue? Isn't Miranda one of her best friends and why is she even acquainted with this heartless, cold and egotistical Che? They have absolutely nothing in common. And then speaking to Miranda over the phone and demanding she come to her Last Supper - so thoughtless. Oh, actually, maybe Carrie and Che are perfectly suited to each other - both extremely self centred.

Oh Stanford, why couldn't the writers have given you a decent send off, I do not know. Surely him dying overseas would have been a better storyline than becoming a monk?

It was lovely to see Charlotte having a bit of fun and letting loose after work and tossing her phone after constantly being harassed by family. About time she stood up for herself.

I'm glad we finally got to see Steve and Aiden - even if it only brief. Carrie stating she's never been to Coney Island. Is that normal for a New Yorker to not have visited an attraction that is so close to where you live? Very strange to me. Anyway, Aiden, what are you doing? Why would you start up a relationship with someone in New York if you knew your son(s) were unhappy and conflicted about you starting a new relationship? I don't think we're gonna get a happy ending with Carrie and Aiden. I do hope Steve comes to Miranda's rescue at the Last Supper - that would be a nice ending.

Run from Aidan. He's bad news.
bbraat25 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
While Carrie treated Aidan very badly in SATC when they first dated, he also treated her badly when they reunited and tried to control her (demanding she marry him, buying her rent-stabilized apartment and forcing her to buy him out when he knew she was broke).

Aidan (like all parents in the series) is a door mat for their kids. No one seems to do any child-rearing but the kids all turn out to be great students but insufferable, rude, entitled, brats. Rock was the first worst example with her dictating her image to her parents and school but Brady was close behind with the parents listening to their 17-year old and his live-in girlfriend have sex while smoking pot. Somehow the formerly tough as nails Miranda was picking up her son's used rubbers, too afraid to act like a parent to a child. Her parenting involves moving to LA and leaving her son in NYC except to plead with him to go to college.

Now Aidan's son is the child terrorist. If your partner allows the type of rudeness that Aidan allowed his son to show to Carrie, you at least put the brakes on the relationship if not end it. At the same time, Aidan should not be turning his phone around to show Carrie on a bed in a see-through dress but the son should not be rude to her. Take the phone call into the kitchen and tell your son he was being rude. Don't "aw, c'mon, buddy. Okay, Wyatt, I'll talk to you later." He demonstrated to his son that his temper tantrum didn't get his attention so Wyatt will just have to do something more extreme to get his attention.

I'll say this for AJLT writers, based on this one scene, Aidan dumping Carrie was completely believable. Aidan's son was a terrorist so would have acted out to break them up. Aidan being a terrible parent (like all those in AJLT) gave in to the terrorist. He even said he has to be there in Virginia continuously, not even allowed to take weekends off, for his sons until they are 20 year old. That's a control issue to think you can't leave your kids alone for a weekend, twice a month when they have their mother right there. If that is his situation, then the kids need to go to a group home staffed by trained professionals because these parents failed.

BEAUTIFUL
finkaidan18 August 2023
This show gets way too much hate. This season has especially been phenomenal. People just need to give the show a chance and some time. They can't rush the story. All the ladies have their own stories going on but still fall back on one another and it's a beautiful thing. Aidan being back is the icing on the cake. This episode was very cute and Charlotte is a hoot!!! I love Carrie and Aidan's dynamic. I love how we got a little bit of a back story on what happened to Stanford and what he's been up to. I also find Anthony and his story to be very funny. Can't wait for next weeks finale and to hear Samantha's voice again!!!

Loaded with SaTC Goodness

This is a return to form and very much like a mini film! There's so much they unpack in this episode and it's done really well. Our main characters grow and discover more about themselves. Charlotte's hilarious outburst is rightly so. The annoying Che is lurking around a bit too much in this episode, hence me knocking off 1 star, but everything else is top notch. Even Stanford gets discussed a lovely scene that's very touching. All that's missing is one of our original star players, who I feel is coming up very soon, what with many loose ends starting to wind themselves carefully around the season's storyline. Would be very happy to rewatch this again.

And Just Like That... Breaks Heal
darryl-jason17 August 2023
What an episode! Super acting. I was wondering where this episode was going to go but as I got near to the end, I wasn't sure... As always Cynthia Nixon always delivers amazing acting at her best - be it funny or dramatic.

After almost 2 full seasons, I still don't know about the Chez character... the whole "Chez & Miranda" thing I'm just not sure about.

On a final note, it's great to see Carrie & Aidan back together again. Superb acting from both the Sarah Jessica Parker & John Corbett.

The ending totally broke me, what can I say?? Heartwrenching isn't even the word right now.

Does true love conquer all? Who knows..

And just like that... one more episode to go.

Roll on part 2... Let's make it a gooden!

The best episode of 2nd season!!
mikefilmstudent18 August 2023
Love the fact that Charotte got her life and job back. She was the overachiever lady in the original show and that made the sex and the city funny!!!

The writers address the LGBTQA+ issue about the pronunciation and size perfectly. When Che's makes everyone call her by "they," I am a part of this LGBTQA community and still feel the pronouce being a bit too much. For Anthony's issue, the size matter in gay community. Gay man has a preference on being top or bottom. Not every gay can be fluid in bed like the stereotype!!!

Last and not least, Miranda gets a taste of her over-the-top behavior. She has been annoying for the past two seasons. Finally, we gotta see how everyone has been trying to tell her!!!

I know this isn't an official SATC sequel...
martin-intercultural3 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
...but speaking for the Gen-X audience -- if someone had shown us this episode back in the 90s, I'm pretty sure we would have run for the hills! Parents totally controlled by their rude and obnoxious children. (Sorry; too late to start giving someone an actual upbringing at age 14.) Constant spewing of expletives presented as funny and sexy, and throwing hissy fits about woke pronouns as cute and endearing. Gals who are pushing 60 kicking up some high-school drama about saying I Love U "too soon." And all of this crowned by the already effeminate Aidan weeping like a three-year-old. Wow. One thing I can say with confidence as a viewer: This world I just watched has no place in it for me whatsoever.

Hey Americans
jo_nik18 August 2023
Are your children really that soft and incabale of leading a normal life? I mean, first we had Miranda's son and his self absorbant girlfriend behaving ridiculously stupid and disrespectful in front of Steve and Miranda. Then, there's Charlotte's kids calling her for every inconvenience and now Aiden's kid wanting to be with his daddy. Come on is it really happening?! I am pissed. Not because children are incompetent or hurt but because parents obviously screw up. So learn how to raise children instead of focusing on career only and staying narcissistic. Fight for your family and work off hours. Your government is obviously working against you.

Get rid of Chey
dean-103-2847212 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Cheys character is insufferable please do not have her back in season 3 that stand up scene of her mocking Miranda was so hard to watch and Miranda deserves better, I'm so confused with the amount of new characters I zone out most of the time they are on, I am only here for Carrie Charlotte and Miranda, It was so nice to finally have a mention of Stanford who I no we can't get back but his character is so missed, The three biggest people in Carries life from the original show are Big, Samantha and Stanford and there absence is really felt tho I love having Aidan back I just don't no how long him and Carrie will last and will she regret selling her place then?

Trying so hard because of the bits of nostalgia that peaks through
RaeGal-446115 September 2023
Charlotte is the best. Her children are brats. Carrie is the same and just on pause.. Miranda is the one character I could never stand and through this whole season I have hated her until this episode!.

How dare "they" Che treat her like that. The sense of entitlement is incredible. Because she chooses to be non-binary and picks letters off the gay menu when ever she wants, now anyone else that changes their letter is a joke? Because that's her job? How about a comic makes fun of her for a change and see how that goes ?

Oh the hypocrisy!

The worst part is that this show gives people like a Che a platform and she has zero consequences for the things she says. Totally overshadows what the majority who watch this show, actually watch it for!
