First of all, it is safe to say that this special demonstrates Owen Benjamin at his best. It is also safe to say that this material is also disparate compared to his other specials to date.

A quick roundup of Owen's career for those unfamiliar with his material. Born on the 24th May, 1980, Owen is a successful comedian, generally known for his observational comedy. He has also starred in various supporting film roles, most notably The House Bunny (2009) and Jack and Jill (2011), where he got to share the screen with his comedy influence Adam Sandler. It is also worth noting Owen's podcast, 'Why Didn't They Laugh', a podcast examining 'comedy, how it works, and why it doesn't. Live-streams of his podcast can be found on iTunes and on Periscope.

In this particular special, it is clear from the off that Benjamin is in form. His material is refreshing, original and sagacious, and gets you gripped from the off. A particular highlight of his set was his 'road rage' skit, a unique sketch which could easily be defined as 'old-school' Owen Benjamin. His incredulous piano playing is also captivating. It separates him from a majority of modern day comedians, and, especially in this special, acts as the punchline of a lot of his jokes.

This special is highly recommended. Even if you are not familiar with Benjamin's material, this special would be the perfect way to introduce yourself to him. As cliche as it sounds, this special is guaranteed to make you laugh.
