A commanding performance from McNally, great episode.

With two members of The University panel dead, focus turns to the one remaining member, Police attention turns to Professor Peter Cherry.

Once again, I find myself laying yet more praise, I thought this was an excellent conclusion of yet another great story, another superb performance from Kevin McNally.

They could have gone a bit further with Jack's storyline, but what was done, was done very well.

The BBC is facing heavy criticism right now, and some of it is well due, it does have a very distinct view of things, but you have to credit this episode for not sticking to the narrative, it dares to offer several different view points.

Back to the good old days, lots of organs and body parts, it really did feel like a step back in time.

It's like a total reaction and reversal to the abysmal previous series. They've made a clear decision to revert to giving fans want they want.

Excellent, again!

9/10.

10++++ Amazing!!

This is an extraordinary episode(s)!!

So many different directions, so many possibilities. So many amazing ethical speeches of dialogue!! You know early on that the different stories and bodies are going to connect in some way. But so many lanes and roads leading to obvious outcomes to start with. But then you kind of reason that the obvious is too obvious, maybe?

I had down one of two suspects that the culprit turned out to be. Now usually I take points off for guessing but this episode is too profound to take anything off.

Basically everyone should watch this episode if for no other reason than great explanations of today's world.

A chance missed

Warning: Spoilers
It's probably an improvement on season 26 but only slightly and that bar is set so low it hardly matters. Perhaps we should be thankful that a once great show which went massively downhill seems to have bottomed out . But annoyingly there was a golden opportunity to get rid of the truly awful Cara which was missed . A pair of serial killers , who been very successful up to this point , suddenly fumbled like first timers . They actually had her tied up ready to deal the fatal blow which would have improved this show no end but no the audience must tolerate Cara for a while longer . Perhaps it's only a matter of time before the producers see sense and cut their losses with her and Velvey but until then Silent Witness will remain a shadow of its former self.
