Romeo: A Whimsical Romance Hindered by Unrealistic Character Development and Uneven Direction
Vashista-Bhat5 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
"Romeo" is an Above Average but an Enjoyable Film. Ganesh, a poor man, falls in love with Shruti, a rich girl. In order to marry her, he resorts to lies and pretends to belong to an affluent family, which complicates his relationship with Shruti.

Ganesh and Bhavana along with Rangayana Raghu and Sudha Belawadi have given very good performances. While Sadhu Kokila is wasted, and Avinash is too noisy in this Film. Bhavana playing the character of Shruti believes the lies told by Ganesh (Ganesh) which is an example of unrealistic character development, when Ganesh (Ganesh) tells lies which is so obvious to make out. Due to this flaw, audience may find this Film to be wierd.

Script is fine, and P. C. Shekhar's Screenplay is engaging despite the fact that Film looks wierd due to flaws in character development. The narration is brisk due to which audience will watch the movie until the end.

P. C. Shekhar's Direction is not up to the mark, as lot of unecessary scenes spoils the narrative. Despite the narration being brisk, it is not well crafted. Music, composed by Arjun Janya features some good songs, but some songs are bad as well. Due to the flaws mentioned, "Romeo" is an Above Average Film, and the audience can watch it once.

My Rating: 6/10 Verdict: Above Average.
