MyPillow is facing a court-ordered eviction from a warehouse in Minnesota, but the company’s controversial CEO, Mike Lindell, insisted that they are still doing well financially.
The news comes after the CEO claimed he had been “canceled” by Fox News. Lindell gained national prominence for supporting former President Donald Trump‘s false claims of a “rigged” election.
Lindell argued that this eviction is just a formality related to a mutual agreement between himself and the warehouse’s owner to vacate this property, which he stated was last used by MyPillow in spring 2023.
He said that MyPillow subleased the space to a candy company in 2023 and had planned on subleasing it to a sugar beet company this year. However, the sugar beet company reneged on the contract at the last minute, he claimed, which left the MyPillow CEO and the warehouse owner “stranded.”

Jayson Boebert, the estranged husband of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado), was arrested for allegedly assaulting their son, Tyler Boebert.
A January 9 police report stated that Jayson started fighting with his son after he got home from a bar at about 1:00 a.m. He noticed that his infant grandson was asleep in a laundry basket filled with clothes.
Tyler told police that his dad, who spoke with a slurred speech, began hitting his legs and attempted to seize his phone.
After he got a hold of the phone, Jayson reportedly tossed it. He then shoved his son while putting his thumb in his mouth.
According to the police report, Tyler believed that his father was going to pull out one of his teeth.
The report also claimed that Jayson then pushed a woman, the manager of a New Castle bar, who drove him home and tried to break the fight up.

Controversial MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell claimed that Fox News has “canceled” his company after discovering that the network had stopped airing the company’s TV advertisements.
On January 12, Lindell announced that Fox News had stopped running his ubiquitous MyPillow ads on former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon‘s podcast, War Room.
“As you know, Steve, ever since I’ve been speaking out about our election platforms January of ’21, they’ve been attacking my company, MyPillow, with cancel culture, the box stores, the shopping channels and now Fox News,” Lindell shared.
“Fox News has canceled MyPillow, and I don’t have the reasons why yet,” Lindell declared. “I can only say, ‘Well the caucuses are coming on Monday. They know my brand is with great President Donald Trump.'”
“Maybe it’s because I brought Lou Dobbs over to my Lindell-tv network this week,” the CEO suggested. “But everything is just very alarming and suspicious.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) blamed Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Barbra Streisand for her decision to switch districts and accused them of attempting to influence the outcome of the congressional race with donations to her Democratic opponent, Adam Frisch.
Boebert made these claims in an interview on Steve Bannon‘s War Room podcast and emphasized that her move from Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District to the 4th Congressional District was driven by her commitment to defend and advance conservative principles.
In the interview, Boebert asserted the need for a strong conservative voice in her new district and expressed her determination to counter the alleged influence of Hollywood elites. She claimed that nearly $10 million had been funneled into her current district in an effort to “purchase” the seat, and added that the Colorado 3rd District was not for sale.

“Sound of Freedom” is the biggest success story of the summer outside of “Barbenheimer,” with $182 million in box office for the child-trafficking thriller — but its director isn’t taking part in the spoils.
Alejandro Gómez Monteverde sold his back-end participation to get the film finished, which means the filmmaker didn’t get rich off the stunning theatrical success.
“Like any independent film, we ran out of money,” Monteverde told TheWrap. “I decided to sell my points to the producers so we could finish the picture.”
“I don’t even want to think about what those points might be worth,” he added.
The movie took a challenging path to the box office. Produced in 2018 by Sentient Entertainment (which also produced “Map to the Stars” and “Taken”), the picture ended up in limbo after initial distributor Fox Latin America was purchased by Disney. Update, 2:20Pm: Disney/Lucasfilm’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny officially wins Tuesday with $11.698M over Sound of Freedom‘s reported $11.5M. Monday revised on Dial of Destiny was $11.7M, which means business was even on July 4th; and that’s solid for any tentpole on that holiday. 5-day on Dial of Destiny is $83.7M.
Previous: Angels Studios’ Jim Caviezel thriller Sound of Freedom, came on strong Tuesday and gave Disney/Lucasfilm’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny a run for its money at the domestic box office. However, until actuals are reported, it remains to be seen who won on July 4th, with both distributors reporting $11.5 million.
Rival distributors off their own calculations see Sound of Freedom as a clear No. 2 in its opening yesterday with $11M at 2,634 theaters, with Indy winning the day.

Stoking the culture wars is nothing new for Cpac. But with dark, militant speeches — and literal demonization of the Maga movement’s political opponents — the conservative convention in Dallas this week menaced America with what seemed to be thinly veiled calls for violence, all while seeking to whitewash the political mayhem of Jan. 6, casting Capitol Hill rioters as victims of a “Democratic Gulag.”

Former ABC News president James Goldston is advising the House committee on its live, prime-time hearings on the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, an opportunity to capture the attention of the nation and the world, TheWrap has learned.
An individual with knowledge of the committee told TheWrap the former head of “Good Morning America” and “Nightline” has been tapped to bring his news-gathering and storytelling skills to create a dramatic nightly presentation about the attack on the Capitol, which the committee has been investigating for 11 months.
The individual said that previously unseen footage of the attack, produced packages and other tools will be leveraged to make the hearings compelling, rather than just a series of witnesses. Three broadcast networks – ABC, CBS and NBC – will carry the hearings in prime time. Fox News will also be presenting live coverage across all of its platforms.

Capping off 2021 on a high note, Saqib Saleem bowled us over with his act as Mohinder Amarnath in 83 and it seems the streak of power-packed performances continues. The 83 actor garners flattering reviews for his act as a migrant and thief in Ruchir Arun’s Teen Tigada from Amazon Prime’s latest anthology Unpaused: Naya Safar. As the streaming boom gets stronger in India, Saqib marks his presence across the Ott scene, having already charmed the big screen with Kabir Khan’s sports drama.
What excited Saqib about the film is that it touches upon different lives and their overwhelming situations amid the pandemic with sensitivity. Unpaused: Naya Safar consists of five stories helmed by five prominent filmmakers – namely, Nupur Asthana (The Couple), Ayappa Km (War Room), Ruchir Arun (Teen Tigada), Shikha Makan (Gond Ke Laddu), and Nagraj Manjule (Vaikunth).

Unpaused Naya Safar(Amazon Prime Video, Anthology Of 5 Stories)
To paraphrase a beloved pop songs of the 1970s: “All You Get From Covid Is Covid Cinema”.
Luckily for us Unpaused Naya Safar is not only well worth our time and attention, this five-tiered omnibus is better more sensitively designed than the first season that came in 2020. Unpaused Naya Safar actually constitutes 4 stories of varying merit, and one outright masterpiece.
Quite like Neeraj Ghaywan’s Geeli Pucchi in the anthology Ajeeb Dastaans, Nagraj Manjule’s Vaikunth in Unpaused is so far ahead of the other four segments it deserved a full feature-length treatment. It’s like the Amitabh Bachchan of the anthology towering above the rest with its razorsharp brilliance and acute insight into human nature during stressful times. An aching darkness spreads over the story as the film’s protagonist , a cremator in a crematorium who suddenly has a full...

Since the 1980s Alberto Iglesias has created beautiful, thrilling music for the screen working broadly throughout his native Spain and Hollywood and with a versatile array of directors and genres—underpinned by his iconic collaborations with Pedro Almodóvar. Iglesias' film suites are fashioned with lucious jazz and emotive orchestral poetry. He beautifully balances the tension of theatrical melodrama with voyages into memory and the vibrancy of inner-city life, with its sophisticated glamour and debauched underbellies. This mix provides a healthy dose of Iglesias collaborations with Almodóvar, from their early years with films such as The Flower of My Secret (1995) and Live Flesh (1997) to this year’s Parallel Mothers and The Human Voice (where Igelsias’s key focus was to riff on his Almodóvar themes of the past). Julio Medem’s Sex and Lucia (2001) defines the 2000s moment of contemporary Spanish cinema’s bursts on the global sphere, soundtracked by that early millenium “Igelsias” sound.

Steve Bannon, the longtime ally of President Donald Trump, was mobbed by members of the media on Monday as he surrendered to federal authorities to face charges of contempt of Congress.
Bannon’s appearance at an FBI field office was expected, and he briefly stopped to make a statement before entering the building. He is scheduled to appear before a magistrate judge later on Monday.
As he was entering the building, Bannon spoke to his podcast listeners in a live stream on the social media site Gttr.
“I don’t want anyone to take the eye off the ball of what we do every day,” Bannon told the live stream. “We got the Hispanics coming to our side, The African Americans coming to our side. We’re taking down the Biden regime.” He then promoted the guest lineup for his podcast, War Room.

Steve Bannon was criminally charged on Friday for defying a subpoena issued by the House committee investigating Jan. 6. The charges were announced not long after Bannon very emphatically reminded listeners of his War Room podcast that the he and the right are trying to do away with democracy by “taking over elections” and overturning Trump’s loss last November.
“We’re taking action. We’re taking over school boards. We’re taking over the Republican Party with the precinct committee strategy. We’re taking over all the elections,” Bannon said.

Steve Bannon, the former adviser to President Donald Trump, was indicted Friday on charges of contempt of Congress, after he failed to comply with a subpoena issued by a committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riots.
Bannon, a former film producer and current podcast host, has claimed through his attorney that he has executive privilege even though he left the White House in August 2017, well before the attack on the Capitol this year.
The Grand Jury indictment cites Bannon’s failure to appear and produce documents to the committee on October 7 and to appear for a deposition on October 14. Bannon accepted service of the subpoena through his attorney on September 24.
According to the indictment, Bannon’s attorneys responded by writing to the committee that he “would not comply with the subpoena because former President Donald J. Trump had claimed that the subpoena sought records and testimony potentially protected by executive and...

Steve Bannon, President Donald Trump’s former adviser and host of the War Room podcast, is facing a potential criminal contempt charge for refusing to comply with a subpoena brought by the the committee investigating the January 6 siege on the Capitol.
Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Ms), the chairman of the committee, said in a statement on Thursday in which he announced that the select committee would vote on Tuesday whether to adopt a contempt report.
“Mr. Bannon has declined to cooperate with the Select Committee and is instead hiding behind the former President’s insufficient, blanket, and vague statements regarding privileges he has purported to invoke. We reject his position entirely,” Thompson said.
Bannon’s attorney has told the committee that his client would not appear for testimony until the issue of executive privilege is resolved. Trump has asserted executive privilege over records sought by the committee, but the Biden...

Steve Bannon, the White House adviser turned accused fraudster turned podcast host, admitted on Wednesday that he conferred with Trump ahead of the January 6th insurrection, with the intention of “kill[ing] the Biden presidency in its crib.”
Bannon’s activity anticipating January 6th has been well-documented, but the extent to which he spoke with Trump ahead of the insurrection was not known until Peril, a new book from Robert Costa and Bob Woodward, was published on Tuesday. Bannon appeared to confirm Costa and Woodward’s reporting during a recording his War Room podcast on Wednesday.

After its record-shattering Labor Day weekend debut, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is set to rule the box office in its second weekend. The latest Marvel superhero movie has exceeded expectations, and there was a collective sigh of relief for the industry after over a month of disappointing box office returns. With confirmation that a blockbuster is still possible in the current environment, as well as the appearance that the current Covid-19 wave may be turning around, the future of the box office is finally looking brighter, even though the month of September is light on major releases. It has certainly given Sony some confidence, as they have moved forward the release date of Venom: Let There Be Carnage by two weeks to October 1.

Former President Donald Trump said Meghan Markle was “no good,” an ex-advisor claimed on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast earlier this week.
However, the former president declined to publicly weigh-in on Oprah Winfrey’s interview with the Duchess of Sussex, citing the treatment of British television pundit Piers Morgan for speaking negatively on Markle.
Jason Miller claimed Trump told him, “She’s no good… I said it and now everybody is seeing it,” Miller said. However, Trump said Miller could share his comments and “make a little news” on the podcast if he wished, with one caveat: “You realize if you say anything negative about Meghan Markle you get canceled, look at Piers (Morgan),” Trump said, according to Miller.
Trump told Miller, “I’m on team Piers,” who frequently interviewed Trump during his presidency.

Today marks the centennial of legendary production designer Ken Adam, the artist responsible for some of the biggest film sets of the 20th century. The first that comes to mind for me is the supertanker in The Spy Who Loved Me, built on the world’s largest sound stage. Adam designed dozens of secret military facilities and hidden lairs for the seven James Bond films he worked on. But his most famous is probably the “War Room” from Dr. Strangelove, another vast interior - and the reason he had to turn down From Russia with Love.

YouTube, which remains one of the sole major platforms on which President Trump still operates a live account, has taken down two channels belonging to former White House chief strategist and prominent alt-right figure Steve Bannon.

Saturday night’s “One World: Together at Home” special will mark one of the few times in history that three top U.S. broadcast networks have joined together to air the same charity-focused entertainment special — and the first there’ve also been so many ancillary digital platforms on board, too, from Apple Music to Twitter to YouTube. The coronavirus-related cause looms large, of course. But it’s also not such a hard sell to bring huge blocks of cable networks and streaming services on board for a simulcast when the talent lineup includes Lady Gaga (who gets a “curated in collaboration with” credit), Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Elton John and dozens more.

Updated with Jim Starlin reaction: What’s more presidential than a sadistic alien despot who wipes out half the universe? In a curious move, the campaign to re-elect President Donald Trump has circulated a mash-up photo and video that melds the head of chief executive with the hulking form of Thanos, the extraterrestrial menace made infamous in the Avengers films from Disney and Marvel Studios.
Thanos creator Jim Starlin slammed the campaign ad in a post on Instagram. “After my initial feeling of being violated, seeing that pompous dang fool using my creation to stroke his infantile ego, it finally struck me that the leader of my country and the free world actually enjoys comparing himself to a mass murderer. Lionsgate and Millennium's Angel Has Fallen outperformed expectations with a strong #1 debut, nearly matching its predecessor and giving Lionsgate its second #1 film of the year after John Wick 3. Also over-performing was Sony and Affirm's Overcomer while Universal's Hobbs & Shaw debuted in China with the largest August opening ever in the market. With an estimated $21.25 million, Lionsgate and Millennium's Angel Has Fallen topped the weekend box office, delivering a debut just shy of the $21.6 million opening for the previous installment in the Fallen franchise, London Has Fallen. To that point, while the film's opening weekend is the smallest in the franchise, it is the first to debut at #1 after both of the previous installments landed in the runner-up position, opening against major animated titles over their respective weekends. Angel had no such competition, debuting in the latter portion of August where box office performances are typically lighter. Looking ahead,...

No matter the setting or circumstances, the solution to every dilemma found in Christian Evangelical films is getting closer to God. The low-budget film is expected to earn upwards of $6.5 million over the weekend and $8 million to $12 million during its first five days of release. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, “Ready or Not” stars Samara Weaving as a newlywed who finds out her in-laws intend to stalk and kill her. Unlike the overtly political themes in Universal’s controversial “The Hunt,” “Ready or Not” takes a more fantasy-oriented approach to hunting humans for sport.
In a positive review, Variety’s chief film critic Peter Debruge called the film a “deranged and darkly comedic thriller [that] packs subversive pleasures aplenty.” Debruge is not alone in his praise. The...
