The show opens with the Corporate Ministry coming to the ring and Shane McMahon, Triple H and the Undertaker cutting promos; until they are interrupted by Mankind, who introduces his new faction, "The Union". The first match is Billy Gunn versus X-Pac. The Corporate Ministry come back to the ring and Shane McMahon sets up all the matches for the rest of the show. The Mean Street Posse take on Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. There is a four way match with Test versus Mideon versus Viscera versus the Big Bossman. Shane McMahon faces Vince McMahon. Mankind takes on the Acolytes in a hardcore handicap match. Triple H takes on Ken Shamrock with special referee Chyna. The Undertaker faces the Big Show. Debra faces Nicole Bass (substituting for Sable) in an evening gown match. The main event is the Rock versus Steve Austin in a lumberjack match.
