Worst catch-phrase of all time
johnckunich3 May 2015
FOOD FORTUNES is a reasonably entertaining clone of the far-superior SHARK TANK. The show's charm is, for me, badly marred by the frequent repetition of the all-time worst catch-phrase.

"I will/will not be bringing you to the negotiating table." So many words, so many syllables, and when uttered by Robert Earl in his ponderous, robot-like manner, it wastes about half a minute. What's wrong with owning the Shark-Tank envy and simply saying "I'm in" or "I'm out." Or, if the show must avoid direct copying of that phrase, how about "We'll talk" or "I'm walking." I do enjoy seeing entrepreneurs attempting to live their visions, and some of the ideas are innovative and promising. I just wish they would ditch the truly clunky catch-phrase.
