It's a sweet show. The characters communicate their feelings well. Llama llama is a sweet "kid" and he has realistic feelings of boredom and frustration. Parents complaining about this show makes no sense to me. If your child is acting entitled or whiny, that sounds like a separate issue. Maybe seek behavior therapy for your child instead of condemning them and calling them brats? Either way, it's not Mama Llama's duty to teach your kids stability and morality. I like the show. My kid does. It's cute and entertaining.

Cute!

All the bad reviews on this show make me laugh so hard. Stop expecting a literal TV show to raise your children. Llama llama is whiny, yes... like ALL kids??? It's a cute, innocent show that doesn't have super modern and updated eye-straining animation. FYI parents: you should be raising your child and YOU should be teaching them problem solving skills, NOT a show. Get your kids off TV and teach them how to handle the real world. Don't rate a show poorly because it isn't doing that job for you. It's an enjoyable cartoon for kids, and that's all it needs to be.
Whiny, entitled, un-empathetic child's character

If you thought Caillou was a whiny character, he's got NOTHING on Netflix's new adaption of Llama Llama.
I read these books to my youngest son (3) and he loves them, the 'Sleepy book' for Llama Llama is a little whiny, but in good natured fun, being afraid of the dark is normal.
But this show, oh my gosh...I'm doing homework in the other room listening to it as he is just engulfed and I am legit concerned I am creating a whiny self-entitled brat by letting him watch this. Going to turn it off now actually.
This show does nothing but depict this bossy Llama child whining constantly for his way, causing public disturbances and showing little empathy to others - this POOR LLAMA MOTHER.
The show attempts to teach a lesson by the mother or teacher constantly trying to educate a moral or respectable lesson, but fails poorly - their lessons don't balance out the bad manners of this little Llama.
The show has the everyone is a winner mentality even if your a little turd. Totally sending the wrong message to kids, terrible whiny character.

This is my favorite kid show. The mama and son have such a sweet relationship. The mama knows just how to handle situations in a calm manner. It is adorable. I also appreciate that is one of the few cartoons featuring a non traditional family.
Worse than whiny Caillou

This is just a terrible show for kids, there's no lessons learned for their good or bad actions, it's giving the mentality that everyone's a winner even when you've misbehaved. My 3 year old daughter acted out on me after she watched this show in a span of 3 days. She was giving me the same whiny attitude that ridiculous Llama Llama has and thinks it's totally ok, that she'll still get what she wants even while being a brat. No, JUST NO! I wish there was a way to block certain shows on Netflix because this one is trash. Are they trying to make it harder for parents to teach their kids proper attitude and outlook on life?
Just Two Questionable Episodes

The characters speak slowly and eloquently. For the most part good lessons are taught, but consequences and real life scenarios are off. For example, the two kids playing indoors. 1. Its not ok to jump rope and ride a scooter indoors. 2. The girl was playing wildly and scratched Llama Llama's brand new Jeep TWICE in just one minute, then refused the request to play nicely. LL was made out to be in the wrong because he wanted to protect his toys and didnt want to share with the purposely destructive kid.
Also, in the grocery store LL has a tantrum, granted the mother was taking a long time, but throws things from the cart on to the floor, items break, "people" knock over displays, but that behavior is acceptable and rewarded because LL cleaned up with the help of his friends?!?!? Nope!!!!
Other than that, the odd smiling, awkward pauses, and "cheap" animation are minor things that I notice, but overall decent show with MOSTLY good lessons to be learned. 13/15 good episodes.

We love the books and love the show! My daughter rewatches episodes and never seems to tire of them.
The show is very gentle and shows a wonderful and supportive relationship not only between Llama Llama and his mum, but also with his extended family, friends, and neighbours. Each episode promotes good values without being preachy and the characters are shown making mistakes and working through them.
We're keeping our fingers crossed for a season 3!
Wonderful show for children.

My 4 yr old boy loves this show. It's a tender show that helps address feelings, appreciation, curiosity, and mildly difficult situations (for a kid). The dialogue is perfectly paced and clear for children to understand.
My 4 year old loves this!

Season 3

I've always been a kid at heart and enjoyed Llama Llama, this show deserves Season 3 to see how it'll go. None of us wanted it to be cancelled, because it just touched the hearts to all the young and old since Anna Dewdney passed away, we all should concider honoring her with Season 3 of Llama Llama just to see if it deserves it's ongoing seasons for many generations to come. In fact, I would hope if there's any info about Llama Llama's late father who was once a war hero who sacrificed for his family and let there be a new llama named Jerome (Luke Wilson) who moved from Peru with his whole family just around the corner of Llama Llama and Mama Llama's home.
Lame-a? Hardly.
