Netflix’s move into live sports continues. The streamer is weighing in to the boxing arena with a fight between heavyweight legend Mike Tyson and upstart Jake Paul.
The streamer will air the fight, which takes place at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday July 20.
It is the company’s latest foray into the live sports field, which launched with golf tournament The Netflix Cup and continued with tennis tournament The Netflix Slam, featuring a match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz, earlier this month.
There have been reports over the last six months that Netflix was eyeing boxing as one of its next routes into sports. Boxing has previously tended to be pay-per-view but there will be no additional cost for the fight on Netflix.
Paul started his boxing career in 2018 with a fight against Deji Olatunji and his professional debut was in 2020 against AnEsonGib.

Singer Olivia Rodrigo got some adorable dating advice from a little boy. The 20-year-old singer recently appeared on the Recess Therapy show and she straight-up asked a little boy named Miles for dating advice, reports etonline.com.
“How do you think that I find love in my life,” she asked, prompting Miles to respond with, “Pick a person that looks kind.”
The most adorable part came right after, when Miles put his tiny hand on Rodrigo’s knee before telling her, “I really hope you find love.”
Rodrigo was visibly moved by the kind gesture, but Miles wasn’t done yet.
He had her and host Julian Shapiro-Barnum cracking up when Miles also shared, “The only person you can’t marry is your cousins.”
The sweet advice comes not long after Rodrigo dropped ‘Vampire’, which made waves after fans speculated the track is about her ex, Zack Bia.

Jake Paul, the social media personality and Disney Channel star turned professional boxer, is set to make his feature film debut in a combat sports drama backed by Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street
Paul will star as a small-town youth rising to international fame as a pugilist. “Like many other superstar content creators, Jake cracked the code to attract an audience that generates hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue while also delivering his story in a way that connects directly with audiences of all ages,” producer David Zelon said in a statement on Tuesday.
Paul initially became famous on Vine, the defunct social video app, before jumping to YouTube. He also scored a role on the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark, though he was let go from the show after some antics on the part of him and his brother Logan Paul, also a social media star turned boxer, made unflattering headlines.

Remember when actors appearing in multiple giant franchises seemed like a huge deal? Now that IP rules Hollywood, hardly anyone even bats an eye anymore when a "Star Wars" fave joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe or a DC Universe actor plays the Big Bad in the latest "Fast & Furious" movie. That's doubly the case when it comes to Disney-owned projects, between the studio's live-action and animation divisions, Pixar, the MCU, Lucasfilm, and its former Fox studios. This can lead to some amusing coincidences though, like that time Ewan McGregor went from playing sad, older Christopher Robin in the live-action "Winnie the Pooh" sequel "Christopher Robin" to playing sad, older Obi-Wan Kenobi in the live-action "Star Wars" series "Obi-Wan Kenobi."
Surprisingly, of all things it's filmmaker Rob Savage's "The Boogeyman" that marks the latest crossing of the streams among Disney properties. The upcoming horror movie, adapted from Stephen King...

Walt Disney just dropped a slew of new release dates, most of which were of the “untitled” variety like “untitled Disney,” “untitled Pixar” and “untitled Disney Animation.” It is still nice to know that the studio intends to be releasing animated movies in theaters at least up until the end of 2026, but the one named title is “The Booygeyman.”
Penned by “Quiet Place” writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, along with “Black Swan” writer Mark Heyman, the Rob Savage-directed “The Boogeyman” concerns a teen girl and her little sister coping with the death of their mother and struggling to get their grieving father to notice a sadistic presence plaguing their home. It features “Bizaardvark”s Madison Hu along with Vivien Lyra Blair, “Yellowjackets” star Sophie Thatcher, David Dastmalchian who has starred in “The Suicide Squad,” “Ant-Man” and the recent CBS reboot of “MacGyver” as the villainous Murdoc.

Paul and business partner Joey Levy have raised 50 million to launch a new media and micro-betting company called Betr, with plans to develop sports media properties and eventually build out a sports betting business built around the so-called micro-bets (instead of betting on the outcome of a game, think betting on the outcome of the next pitch, or the next play).

Sunday’s 64th Grammys, emceed again by “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah, drew 8.9 million total viewers across multiple platforms, up only 1 percent from last year’s Covid-impacted record low. CBS is estimating that tally will grow to 9.6 million when out-of-home viewing is counted in data projected to be made available on Tuesday.
The March 14, 2021 Grammy Awards settled for 8.8 million total viewers across multiple platforms and a 2.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to Nielsen. Those all-time lows were down 53 percent and 61 percent, respectively, from the January 26, 2020 Grammys. In final Live + Same Day data, which includes out-of-home viewing, last year’s Grammys adjusted up to 9.4 million overall viewers and a 2.3 rating in the key demo. Should CBS’ estimate comes to fruition, Music’s Biggest Night 2022 would be up 2 percent overall from 2021. At the time of this publishing, we did not have the key-demo rating for this weekend’s special.

For 20 years, ever since Gilbert Gottfried made the tasteless crack that inspired it just a few weeks after 9/11, “Too soon” has been the mantra we use to jokingly suggest someone is making a joke before the time is ripe for it. But the phrase could also be applied to certain music documentaries. “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” caught the first chapters of Billie Eilish’s career, starting in 2015, when she recorded and posted “Ocean Eyes” on SoundCloud — and though she is still a young star (just 20), the film felt momentous, because her stardom has had such an extraordinary trajectory, and you feel, in a way, that she remade the pop-music world in her own image.

The reigning queen of Gen-z, the singer/songwriter has made her mark with her edgy lyrics and an effortlessly cool style. Recently chosen as Time Magazine's Entertainer of the Year, Olivia Rodrigo's debut album "Sour" threw her into pop superstardom. If you ask the general public, the Grammy-nominated teenager seemed to explode in popularity out of nowhere, but real ones know that Rodrigo had already been crushing it with tween and teen audiences on Disney's "Bizaardvark" and more importantly, "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series." In the latter, Disney presents a very self-aware mockumentary musical drama set in the fictional East High School, the shooting location of the "High School Musical" movies that put the school on the map. Olivia Rodrigo could have been designed in a laboratory as the perfect teen pop star — except the best part is how gloriously, messily, authentically human she is. She’s a whole new pop-queen paradigm, ripping up the old playbook and starting again. One of the reasons we love “The Masked Singer” so much is that we are obsessed with trying to figure out the names of the famous faces hidden beneath those elaborated masks. Within seconds, we knew that the Phoenix was Caitlyn Jenner when she performed for the one and only time on episode 2 of season 5 back on March 17. Since then, we’ve been busy trying to crack the codes of the identities for the rest of the contestants in Group B.

Is it too early to call song of the year? Olivia Rodrigo’s debut single “Drivers License” makes it difficult to not believe that both she and the moving power ballad are meant to completely dominate 2021.
Rodrigo’s nostalgic, piano-assisted song builds slowly as a story about the 17-year-old finally getting her license to drive. But the monumental occasion is soured by her heartbreak: she was supposed to celebrate the accomplishment with her ex, who has moved on to an older blonde that she reveals is “everything I’m insecure about.
