Really good

I was skeptical at watching this OVA, but it was suprising to find this quite amazing. It has violence and gore, there is no denying that (haha! ) but the way this story turned out to be surprised me. This OVA is far better than Tokyo Ghoul: Jack.

I've watched tokyo ghoul twice and shu tsukiyama was my favourite character, so when I found about this I knew I had to watch it, in fact I've already seen it three times so far. It's a lovely little back story, yes there's some gruesome scenes, but that's to be expected. If you love Tokyo ghoul this is a definite must see.

I preferred the other one Warning: Spoilers
"Tokyo Ghoul: Pinto" is a 25-minute animated short film from Japan. This one came out back in 2015 and it is a video release of a little movie closely connected to the television/manga series "Tokyo Ghoul". I have not seen/read that one, so will not go into detail about comparisons to the original material. Anyway, I must say that i did not enjoy the watch too much here. I preferred "Jack", another Tokyo Ghoul "episode" that runs for under half an hour. but we talked about that one on another occasion. This one here somehow did not do a whole lot for me in terms of both plot, action, but especially the moments that were intended somewhat as comedy, perhaps because I found the male protagonist neither too interesting nor too likable with his aura of ignorance. The little girl was a more interesting character I think, but also did not really make a difference. Camera clicking just isn't enough. My thoughts on the other one I just mentioned were different, but in terms of plot and writing here, this one does not get me interested at all in anything other about Tokyo Ghoul like the television series. i give it a thumbs-down and it's probably only worth checking out for the very biggest anime fans.
