I really enjoyed this opening episode, the series is much better then the reviews would have you believe. The story is really good, you get that the main couple have reached a point in their marriage where they're simply not getting on, you believe the tension caused by the very odd couple, plus you cannot help be gripped by the tension coming from the very odd Simon and Linda. I can appreciate that people didn't buy into Neil and Elizabeth, but it's very plain to see that her mind is elsewhere, and her mind is certainly focused on someone else. The situation they find themselves in forces the pair together.
It's very well acted all round, but it's the brilliant Daniel Ryan that impresses the most, he's always good value, but he has the ability to act in a menacing way, very good indeed.
The conclusion is gripping, and will have you wanting to see the conclusion straight away. 8/10
