An attempt at political indoctrination through 'young and hip' presentation and hostess.
evan0022 August 2016
The series shows our hostess Franchesca Ramsey supposedly 'decoding and debunking' political ideas and issues, but it rather ends up with her denying basic logic and fact, instead choosing to push her own agenda and political narrative.

The fact that this was even aired is mind boggling to me, as there is little to no content or production value here. I don't so much dislike because I disagree with what this 'show' has to say, (I have enough respect for free-speech not too) as it is that I wonder how MTV has fallen to the level of allowing someone to spew blatant indoctrination to MTV's audience of easily influenced teenagers.

The only way I could see someone enjoying this is if they go into it already disagreeing with these views, and only wish to indulge on the idea that someone so racist, sexist and bigoted is being promoted by a large company such as MTV.

I could never recommend this to anyone. It really is senseless, low- hanging lies. I could never so much as refer to this as legitimate 'content'.

Not funny at all

I'm pretty open to having everything get made fun of (why South Park is one of the all time best shows ever!) but this is just bad and not bad in a good way (like The Room) but bad bad.

Wow! Race Baiting and Inciting Hatred at its very finest.

Here we have a very low IQ individual and back staff trying so hard to justify their own racism and push thier divisive narrative. I'm actually quite glad that Generation Z are already seeing through this type of propaganda for what it is, and finally, MTV will be a distant memory for individuals like me.

Just awful

A racist lunatic tries to "decode" stuff by doing mental gymnastics. She takes on stuff she clearly doesn't understand and does insane mental gymnastics to push her agenda. All white people are racist, everything is sexist. It's a cringe-fest. If you like cringe, this show is for you.

The Biased Ravings of A Racist
coopjay-9211126 May 2017
In MTV's Decoded Franchesca Ramsey reviews the topics of Racism, Bias and other forms of discrimination. Though it may seem okay at first it's the ravings of a Racist who performs Olympic gold level mental gymnastics to simultaneously put ALL the blame for ALL non-white race based issues on white people, prop up the nonsensical ideas that non-whites can't be racist and that 'politically correct' speech in fact increases free speech. Coupled with this self declared "Comedian's" unfunny and often downright bigoted attempts at humor which can often be boiled down to her saying "Hey look how stupid whites are" said in a condescending tone and most if not all of her points are either unsourced, or the sources use false or biased data to back up claims.

Would not recommend

Garbage show with no real point. I thought it was one of those "fake media shows" like Clickhole or The Onion. Would not recommend. Francesca comes across as condescending and grating. This show was not informative, had poor graphics, and introduced no insightful ideas. It also doesn't fit well with MTVs brand.

Amazing Show!!!! Congrats MTV

Warning: Spoilers
I followed Francesca on YouTube before this show. She is hilarious! I love her presentation and ability to portray difficult topics in a truthful and humorous way. Not an easy task. My favorite episode was the one on affirmative action in College Admissions. Not so affirmative and truthfully not a strong factor in college admissions as some would believe. And I loved the one on the history of Thanksgiving. Super funny!!!

Excellent source for anti-racism

Decoded is my go-to source when I need a simple but thorough explanation or introduction to issues of racism and discrimination. I find the historical references incredibly helpful and the host, Franchesca Ramsey, does a great job introducing new ideas in a non- threatening way. If people are offended it's only because they are racist. Franchesca uses lots of humour, kindness, and curiosity in her explanations. If you're white - this is a must watch!

Great show that will make you aware of how you could be doing better

This show will show you how you could be doing better when it comes to treating everyone fairly and well. It tackles big issues that most white straight CIS people don't experience and plays an important part in changing our societ for the better. Love this show and highly recommend.

Don't listen to the "Reverse Racism" folks, this show is great.
dssk8323 March 2018
This show does a great job examining structures and systems that make up our modern society. While some will have you believe this is "political indoctrination" it's actually just regular old empathy.

The host is funny and clear, without being overly explanational or over the top. I learned a ton about the experiences of others, but each episode certainly does not rely anecdotal evidence, with well reported studies and plenty of solid evidence backing up each claim.
