Interesting documentary for believers, not so much the rest of us

Four twenty-somethings spend five nights at five different haunted sites in the Midwest & Pennsylvania, mostly former insane asylums. We learn the haunted history of each place & get interviews with locals. The crew all sleep alone at night, each in a different section (Basement, 3rd Floor Hallway, Suicide Bathroom, Boiler Room etc.) All have cameras & flashlights.

I was more bored than scared (what they thought were ghostly voices I thought were noises), but got to give the cast/crew props for what they were trying to do. It was supposed to be a documentary on Fear, not the Supernatural. But they followed through even after it got weird...

DISCLAIMER: I suspect this would have more impact on paranormal believers. That wouldn't include me. So...

Saw this at the Midwest Weirdfest in WI, March 3, 2017. Eventually it will show up somewhere you can see it. I did find it interesting that the Q&A session involved more Qs about cameras & their placement than spooky spirits.

Language

I use to love Destination Fear until they started using a lot of fowl language. Great show but the language must go please . I watch a lot of these documentaries and by far I really enjoyed yours the most , great and interesting. But is there any reason for all the fowl language ?? I love Dakota , Chelsea and the new guy on Destination Fear Trail . If you would just clean it up some . I love it when you go to West Virginia that's one of the places I was raised. And now I'm in Kalamazoo Mi . Is there any haunted places that is in Kalamazoo MI that you would be willing to come and film . Can you tell me of any haunted places that are in Kalamazoo Mi ??

Amazing Documentary

Amazing documentary. Was good to watch kept you thoroughly entertained and always wanting more. I definitely hope it's renewed for a sequel, along with more seasons of Destination Fear.

This was by far one of the best paranormal documentaries I've seen. Especially since Dakota and the crew were using next to nothing for equipment. Also was some of the best footage I've seen.

How the hell was this shown in theaters? Could only watch for about 20 mins before turning it off. I don't recommend this show or Destination Fear. I've watched better paranormal videos for entertainment on YouTube.

My boyfriend and I watched and was hooked!! We took the whole weekend watching all 3 seasons!!! Huge fan!! Would love to investigate with this team <3 waiting on season 4!!!

Just another paranormal show which seems to be the rage currently. Move Trail To Terror and Destination Fear to YouTube where it belongs asap. These kids are not cut-out for TV.

If you spent any of your teen years going to the "haunted house" in your town this is nostalgic. Great intro to Destination Fear. Just a fun, well done documentary.

I liked the originality and premise of the movie but everytime things started to get good, the apex of "scariness," she'd get freaked out everyone would pack up and leave. Don't get me wrong must everyone would be scared but they are there to record and document this evidence...no? It's not a bad movie it is just so damn frustrating!

Trail To Terror by Dakota Laden is absolutely amazing! It's what gave him the idea for Destination Fear, but omgosh this was intense! He did such a great job with this being his first documentary from planning, to filming, to editing. I'm just so amazed and proud of everything that went into this. I've been waiting 5 years to see it and wow was it worth every second! I will be watching it as much as I possibly can. Great job Dakota, Chelsea, Tanner, and Coalin!

This was the best paranormal documentary I have watched. I watch a lot of paranormal shows so sometimes its hard to get a good scare but this gave me a good amount of jump scares. Dakota, Chelsea, Tanner and Coalin were amazing. Very real and very authentic. Absolutely loved it and have watched it several times already and plan to watch more.

I'm a bit confused as to why this was made it 2015 but released in 2022? Did it take them that long to edit all the scary stuff in? Dakota is a horrible actor, and these adults act like 15 year Olds. They make it seem like they are staying 5 nights at a location but they stay 1 night at 5 locations. Not much time to get good evidence. They basically got a TV show to travel in an rv.

Chilling and captivating!! This doco-movie will send shivers down your spine.. it's fun for the whole family.. I personally have watched it 3 times already!! If you love paranormal shows or movies this flick is the one for you!! You feel as if your on an adventure with the crew and will make you fall in love with everything paranormal again!

It's easy to say that you could do this. Some probably can, others such as myself would rather sit and watch these 4 sleep in the location chosen, in the dark separated.

I enjoy watching these types of documentaries & I must admit I'm very skeptical. There are things that steer me away. The first: Is it possible that (the psychic) is being told about the location that's being investigated? The second: the entire crew feed off of each other "Did you hear that?" They most always reply with "YES, it came from over there". Yet we the 'viewer' don't hear (or see) anything.

THIS is not the same. You do actually hear things, you do actually see things, you do find yourself jumping, you do wonder WTH was that! You find yourself asking yourself "would I really be willing to sleep alone in a dark/possibly haunted place?

I highly recommend watching it! Watch them ALL!

Absolutely love Trail To Terror! Loved getting to see where Destination Fear all began! Both Trail To Terror & Destination Fear are on my must watch & must repeat watch list! I'm also recommending both to anyone I can who loves all things paranormal like me!

I know some people may not like this kind of show. But I love it. My daughter and I are massive fans of destination fear. I think that the raw emotion that was caught was real and great. I can't wait to see more from them!!

Loved Trail to Terror. Don't want to spoil anything but it was a refreshing change to everyday docs on the paranormal. The cast is great, the locations amazing and have watched this 3 times now. A must watch!!

I love how they let you know all about the history of the place they are investigating, this in itself is really interesting. They then go and explore these locations with respect for the past and present alike. I love their innocence and their honesty and this gives you total belief in what they experience. Stay true guys, don't ever lose the honesty you have, will watch you guys each and every time. Love Destination Fear for this very reason too. Bring on Season 4.

This documentary is so raw and real it puts teenagers in an abandoned building with unexplained things happening, which is so relatable!! It was highly intense and had me hooked the entire time! It's completely different than any other ghost hunting show/documentary I've ever seen! Not only is it a thrill, it showcases each of the team members personalities and it's interesting to watch how they each react to scary situations! Worth the watch 10/10 would recommend to everyone!! By far my favorite team (Alex included)!! Stay spooky! 👻

All i can say is how genuine authentic this paranormal documentary is, nothing made up & or fake just real raw emotions and that makes this stand out more than many other paranormal documentary shows out there, love Destination Fear and like to have more seasons with them ❤💙
