The Making of 'Dogs' (2006)

*** (out of 4)

This 19 minute featurette takes a look at the making of DOGS, the 1976 cult film. Director Burt Brinckerhoff is joined by actors George Wyner and Eric Server as they discuss the making of the picture. The most interesting aspect has the director discussing how the picture got off the ground and what made him interesting in making it. The actors share stories about how they got their roles as well as what it was like working with the director as well as actor David McCallum. The featurette also features interviews with some of the advertising people who put together the campaign and we also hear how the television spots were controversial at the time. If you're a fan of the film then you'll enjoy this as there are some pretty good stories told throughout and I really thought the stories dealing with trying to sell the picture were quite interesting.
