some brilliant acting,...inbetween

The last phrase in this black vs white racial drama was ''we cant win it all'' was probably the best way to tell the essence of this movie. its about washington d.c's southeast district with vast poverty, majority of black and hispanic americans, with loads of gangrelated violence, white majority police force.its classes for young people to learn how to get a job, it may sound boring, but it took me by surprise and made me hang on to the end mostly because of the acting done by Pierre Walters, who has the role as the black teacher of the class. his acting are really engulfing and amazing. you seldomly meet such people during ones lifetime, and the fatherfigure he becomes for most of the class ,are unique and reminds me of my teacher at junior high. actually, most of the classes actors does a good job, but nof course at a low budget this film has been made, therell always be some stiff neck, high shoulders and fluttering eyes in front of the camera.

as a film product it has a decent filmography and good editing. the playtime are a notch too long, the story are cliche and the soundquality are a bit dim inbetween. what annoyed me most was the choice of music, terrible. what newbies may learn of this film is to let important dialouges/monolouges shine through without background music.

so as the grumpy old man usually says when surprised of a good movie...its recommended.
