One lapse, otherwise: great stuff as usual

The Fosters is a wonderful show and in general deserves a 10 star rating, the start of the fifth season, however, makes it necessary to take some points off, since the writers forgot their main goal: tolerance and justice. I love that the show is tolerant towards different lifestyles and incorporates all ethnic groups and encourages people/adolescents to be brave and fight for justice, but tolerance and bravery does not mean bashing the groups who have not been bashed before. This would be dumb, aggressive, ignorant, ill-willed hostility, but no justice. Therefore I absolutely despised the chant of the students, containing the words "education is a right, not just for the rich and white" - what does private schools have to do with skin color?? I know schools who are reserved for people of a certain religion, but a private school is merely reserved for rich people - true, but rich people come in all colors, Jewish, African American, Indian, and, yes, many white people are rich, but there are also a lot of/much more non-wealthy white people like there are non-wealthy and wealthy people in every other ethnic group. It would actually be pretty racist and mean to assume, that African Americans or other ethnic groups are not able to earn well!! Therefore: Thumbs down for this dumb, ignorant, unnecessarily hostile and, yes, racist, chant. Otherwise: a great show and a strong 5th season so far. Just do not start bashing Europeans or white people etc. - it didn't work well with Switched at Birtch (another great show, but now only remembered for the disgustingly hostile/offensive last episodes) and it would be a shame if the Fosters would go down this road.
