When I read about this documentary programme advertised, I recognised a couple of the things mentioned that would be included, and I had my guesses of what else may be included, so I was really looking forward to watching. Basically the show was a three hour collection of clips, focusing on the mostly negative news about celebrities, in the world of television, film, music, comedy, entertainment, reality TV, journalism, politics and other fields. These included those captured on camera, filmed and in pictures on the news, of celebrities and their criminal convictions, scandals, meltdowns, and various other shocking, embarrassing, cringeworthy and hilarious incidents, in Britain and/or around the world.

The celebrity news included: Mariah Carey not bothering to sing live at the Times Square New Year's Eve performance; the tax avoidance scandal of Jimmy Carr and his roasting on 8 Out of 10 Cats. Reality TV stars going wrong included: Leo Sayer aggressively breaking out of the Celebrity Big Brother house when the producers would not provide clean underwear; Lisa Appleton from Big Brother 9 losing his partner Mario Marconi, going on benefits and doing ridiculous things desperate to get photographed by the paparazzi; and former Playboy model, actress and TV personality Anna Nicole Smith marrying 89-year-old billionaire J. Howard Marshall, earning half his fortune after his death (which was overturned), her reality show being cancelled, her son's death 3 days after the birth of her child, and her own death in a hotel room from an accidental prescription drug overdose. Entertainment stars and well-known faces going wrong included: comedian turned presenter Justin Lee Collins found guilty of harassment and not appearing on prime time TV since; Julian Clary joking about "fisting Norman Lamont" on The British Comedy Awards 1993 and not appearing on TV for a while; Buzz Aldrin approached by conspiracy theorist and religious fanatic wanting him to swear on the Bible that he walked on the moon, Aldrin punched him in the face; and Diff'rent Strokes actor Todd Bridges talks about the career of his co-star Gary Coleman, where he lost his money, sued his parents, went bankrupt, was filmed working as a security guard, was arrested for domestic violence, and having an accidental fall and dying. Stars avoiding and getting aggressive with the press and paparazzi included: Taylor Swift walking backwards to avoid the paparazzi getting a photo; Dustin Hoffman playing pranks with the paparazzi; Jay Kay from Jamiroquai drunk, attacking the paparazzi, abusing the police and cautioned; Kiefer Sutherland aggressively refusing to sign an autograph when a fan touches him; Justin Bieber storming off and refusing to perform, getting angry at journalists and people filming him, arrested for alcoholic drag racing, punching a fan in his car window; and Björk attacking a journalist who simply said "Welcomed to Bangkok". Former East 17 singer Brian Harvey talks about his own experiences, including on the news where he admitted to taking the drug Ecstasy, running himself over with his own car, finishing with the music industry, and smashing his platinum gold records. Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond talks about his own experiences, including going bankrupt, doing a sex tape that failed to make much money, and being arrested for "accidentally" stabbing a man. Music stars going wrong included: Cheryl Tweedy punching a Nigerian toilet attendant not long after winning Popstars: The Rivals with Girls Aloud; Preston from The Ordinary Boys walking off Never Mind the Buzzcocks when host Simon Amstell read extracts from wife Chantelle's book; and Jerry Lee Lewis illegally marrying 13-year-old Myra Brown (his first cousin once-removed) and as a result his UK tour being cancelled. Famous people going downhill and turning to substances included: Britney Spears divorced from Kevin Federline, in a custody battle for her children, shaving her hair off, attacking a car and civilian with an umbrella, and sectioned; and news journalist Ed Mitchell in debt and drinking alcohol, his wife divorcing him, and becoming homeless. Stars having clothing fails, models making the news for the wrong reasons, and actresses going wrong included: the Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction" (briefly mentioned); Tara Reid doing a possibly deliberate "nip slip"; Naomi Campbell throwing a phone at someone, doing community service, supplied with blood diamonds, and being condescending in court; model Fabio covered in blood after being hit by a goose whilst riding a roller coaster; and Lynne Perrie sacked from Coronation Street after face lift, appearing on TV drunk, going on Television X and licking a model's penis, and dying of a stroke. Politicians going wrong included: John Prescott punching a man who threw an egg at him; Ed Balls playing keyboard piano on radio; George Galloway grossly roleplaying acting like a cat on Celebrity Big Brother. Movie stars going wrong included: Omar Sharif getting angered and slapping a female journalist; and actor Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle embroiled in scandal, charged with manslaughter after an actress he worked with died of a burst bladder, he was acquitted but lost his contract, the day after getting a new contract a few years later he died of heart failure.

I had my guesses what celebrity incidents would be included, the bad ones, the funny ones and the awkward ones, I always enjoy the nostalgia seeing these moments again, but it was good to learn about the serious stuff as well, some of them I had only heard a little about, overall it was a most interesting and highly watchable documentary.

Narrated by Johnny Vaughn, with contributions from Scott Capurro, Lizzie Cundy, T'Pau singer Carol Decker (who has an unexplained broken arm), Vanessa Feltz, Caroline Feraday, The Hotel's Mark Jenkins, Mark Frith, Steve Furst, Nikki Grahame, Hattie Hayridge, Union J's Jaymi Hensley, Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, Kevin Hughes, Julie Kaufman (the former journalist and reporter attacked by Björk), George Lewis, Carol Malone, Tina Malone, Kym Mazelle, Phats & Small singer Ben Ofoedu, Craig Phillips, John Prescott, Leigh Purves, Adam Rickitt, Coronation Street's Chris Quentin, Suzanne Shaw, Scotty T, Bobby Trendy and Louisa Zissman. Very good!
