Great podcast, but has gone downhill a little
abrine23 July 2023
This used to be a really great podcast hosted by a genuine fan of the series.

This podcast has had some absolute Bill legends as its guests and it is a treat for any Bill fan to hear some previously unheard behind the scenes stories. Oliver really knew his stuff and it shows in his research.

Since Natalie Roles took over as host and interviewer, I feel like it has lost much of its energy and enthusiasm. Natalie tends to make the interview all about her, telling her (often unrelated) stories rather than letting the guest tell theirs, and often comes across as if she isn't taking it seriously.

It's still a must-listen for any fan of The Bill, but it's definitely not as good as when Oliver was hosting.

Fantastic

Oliver has put together year and years of research and turned it into a superb podcast of insights & stories & throwbacks of loads of the characters we all used to love and still love to this day. The camaraderie between him & the legends is brilliant and it has a lovely casual feel to it as if they're having a coffee and a chat on the sofa at home. Since Natalie took over it is just as good as she provides a personal touch to it having been in the bill herself. The laughs you hear and the stories they provide which we hear are just wonderful. You can tell oliver has done his homework as it flows so beautifully. A brilliant listen.

I've been a fan of The Bill since 1984, I started listening to this Podcast in about 2018 and have always enjoyed listening. I love hearing the stories from the interviews, the enthusiasm of the producer and host Oliver, and now joined by the lovely Natalie Roles who played DS Debbie McAlister, who blessed with her inside knowledge does an outstanding job of bringing her shared experiance to interviews with her former collegues. If you want to catch up with the stars of the series and hear behind the scenes stories have a listen. There is also an opportunity to see production notes and plans in the Evidence Room podcasts.
