This enjoyable and interesting 47-minute retrospective documentary offers a wealth of neat information on the making of "Rosemary's Baby." Mia Farrow points out that the whole film reflects director Roman Polanski's vision and reveals that her then husband Frank Sinatra divorced her after she turned down a role in "The Detective" in order to play the lead in "Rosemary's Baby" instead. Producer Robert Evans talks about going to bat for Polanski and paying $100,000 dollars for the advertising campaign. Polanski discusses how John Cassavetes was a bit difficult to work with because Polanski wouldn't allow Cassavetes to improvise anything and praises cinematographer William Fraker for both his gentle nature and consummate professionalism. Moreover, we also learn that Farrow wore some of her own clothes and used a body double for her nude scenes, Polanski fell behind schedule during the first ten days of shooting, Robert Redford was initially considered to play the husband, Polanski made drawings of each character that he gave to the casting director, and the first cut of the picture was four hours long. Recommended viewing for fans of the film.
