An altarpiece, an ergot fungus, two car accidents and a murder.

Pierre Arditi played in "Coup de coeur" the role of Jean-Pierre Berthelot, a humanitarian surgeon who has neglected his family. Now in Colmar Pierre Arditi plays the role of Etienne Ronsard, an humanitarian surgeon who was working in Birmania while his son, a police sargeant of Colmar died in a car accident. This film is like a puzzle: Etienne finds a corpse in Colmar (the man, who died by overdosis, was an associate of an art gallery),he sees an alterpiece on a leaflet and goes to a church where a strange man talks about a curse, the police is looking for a new drug which has elements of L.S.D. (coming from an ergot fungus). What relationships have all these elements with the dead of his son ? An interesting murder investigation. Good performances of Garance Thénault, Isabelle Candelier, Vincent Deniard and Pierre Arditi.

Worst "Murder in..." movie ever.

The "Murder(s) in..." TV movie series from France is uneven, to be sure, but I've see 'em all and this is the very, very worst. Zero chemistry between the leads...cardboard characters...absurdly complicated plot...misinformation about recreational drugs...boring scenery...mediocre music...and a completely ridiculous ending, Involving a person wearing a bird head, like something out of an old Monty Python episode. The person did not want to be recognized in town so they would wear the bird head, like that would not attract attention? The ending actually made me laugh out loud, and laughs are hard to come by these days, so I do appreciate that. But this was a really terrible movie!
