Deathmaker has been the best overall story of the series, and arguably the best two handed Silent Witness story for several years. So often we're treated to a terrific first episode, with a slightly below part conclusion following, this second episode I thought was something special.
As I mentioned previously, I think the subject matter was perhaps a little sensitive, particularly following recent events, but the story itself was truly captivating. I've been a little critical with a few recent episodes, finding them a little confusing, this one certainly wasn't, it was easy to follow. It must rank as one of the most shocking episodes to date, the explosion had me speechless.
A terrific Jack story, Caves really did shine through, great scenes with him and his dad, and as always with Clarissa.
I am so glad they've ditched the trailer at the end of the first episode, it was totally unnecessary, and spoiled the following part.
Loved it. 10/10
