Following the free marriage counselling Navarro provided last time, the Byrdes get along better, at least superficially. Navarro channels his inner charro and puts Wendy in her place.
Lots going on this week, with the usual backstabbing and manipulation, some sexual relationships developing and an explosive therapy session.

Ozark' has never played by traditional gender roles. The majority of women on the show have been way more powerful than their male counterparts and taken the center stage on multiple occasions. So far, Darlene Snell was seen playing the mother for baby Zeke and giving a taste of her vengeance to anyone who questions her parenting methods. She has completely dedicated herself to Zeke and doesn't see even a bit of remorse in her past actions. Although Jacob couldn't have found a better business associate than Darlene for himself, he dreaded her as a wife. All it took Darlene to get her husband out her way was a walk through the woods and the rest simply fell into place. In Episode 5, when Wendy takes Darlene to the court charging the latter for taking a swing at her, Wyatt comes to the former's rescue and testifies for her before the judge stating how good a parent she has been to Zeke. Besides the whopping age gap, the duo is always driven by different motives. It remains to be seen if Wyatt, who has never tried cocaine in his whole life, can deal with Darlene's passion for supplying the best quality drugs. Thanks to Omar making it seem Wendy has his ear, she has made many assumptions. One being that they are partners. Hence why she ends up pretty shocked when he instructs her to buy a horse farm, seemingly as an investment, only to learn he wanted it to cut the testicles off of one of the horses. Half-way through the season, 'Ozark' has taken a sharp turn from the path that was seemingly paved for its characters. It does come as a bit of a surprise. However, whether or not it is a smart move is what we look forward to finding out. Hopefully, it adds new dimensions to the story rather than throwing it back into a routine that we have witnessed before.
Wyatt is a metaphor...

Warning: Spoilers
The viewer just like the Byrd's marriage counsellor will need extra payment to see where the story arc will go. Terrible performances are overshadowed by an even more appalling story line.
don't need to see how this ends.
this is drivel - 100% drivel

Warning: Spoilers
Seriously, this series has taken a dark turn to be not only stupid but very unbelievable.
A 17 year old boy will font find a near 60 year old woman who is on the verge ofa mental breakdown and also ugly as sin to be anything appealing
there's nothing sexy about an aging hideous woman who doesn't illicet any charm. Humour or sex appeal on any level
at this point, the entire Byrd family is so stupid in every move they make - if they were smart, they would take that money and invest it in Detroit or Ohio, not some dead little hole like nowhere Missouri
what started out with 8 episodes with an interesting story has become beyond stupid on levels unfathomable
they all deserve to get shot by the FBI or tortured by the Mexicans or by the mob
anything less than that is pure luck - because smart moves and thinking clear is not going well for any of them.
