Jersey Shore (2009–2012)
10/10
epitome of the word iconic.
29 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show is as iconic as they come. Every line, every catchphrase, every club, every mf spray tan, every fight will GO DOWN IN HISTORY!!! What makes jersey shore so special compared to other shows is the characters' schticks. Like mike, vinny and pauly's MVP and t shirt time!!! Or mikes constant utterance of the words grenade and landmine or the INFAMOUS NOTE. I'm pretty sure every fan has it memorized..

s3 is PEAK js for me: the characters really came into their own and you could really see how genuine their bond was, almost like watching a dysfunctional family. I'll never forget snooki's drunk rampage on the beach which ended with her in jail or the ron look-alike or even the grenade horn!!!

When i'm upset, i watch jersey shore. When i'm happy, i watch jersey shore. When i'm annoyed, i watch jersey shore. When i'm bored, i watch jersey shore. When im iconic, i watch jersey shore!!!

MVP forever.

Needs more mystery
8 January 2021
I wish the show would focus more on the mystery especially since these past several episodes have been more focused on character relationships. We got to see more of Windam Earle which was interesting but he's not the best villain on the show. I really hope it starts to get back on its feet because ever since episode 9, it has been largely uninteresting. The last few moments where Coop and the other guy see what's really in the box was a very interesting moment, though. I hope there's more to come.

Comforting Fall Vibes
29 August 2020
I really enjoyed the earlier seasons of the show and I though the characters were really likable and relatable but not so much in the later seasons. I love the warm and comforting feeling this show gives. The small town, the preppy private school, the coffee shop etc. The town is the epitome of fall vibes. I really enjoy Rory's relationships and my favorite seasons were when she was in high school.

My sister is a big fan of the show and I hadn't seen it before so we sat down to watch this episode. My oh my, coming from someone who hadn't seen the show before, I was very impressed with this and this specific episode made me want to get into to the show.

Underrated Masterpiece

Underrated Masterpiece

I will admit, I have not seen Goodfellas yet so I'm not sure how it compares to Casino since it came out before and the two are often compared. But I have seen the Wolf of Wall Street (which is very similar) and I must say this was better by a mile. Casino feels important and high quality. The glitz and glamor of Vegas casinos has always been captivating to me.

I really enjoyed Sharon Stone's character; she played the trophy wife trope flawlessly and Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci were amazing as usual. The fact that this is a true story makes this all the more interesting. Ace and Ginger's outfits are colorful and fun; this film captured 70s fashion perfectly! I especially love that Joe Pesci's character narrated the movie. Very unique and refreshing because it's usually the main character who narrates but in Casino's case it's not.

Book was better
28 August 2020
I am a big fan of Hitchcock's work but I was quite disappointed with this one. The film lacks gothic and mysterious elements that are present in Daphne DuMaurier's novel. I feel as if this film was rushed and there was not enough depth to the characters. The build up to the big twist was underwhelming. While reading the book, there was a lot of build up towards the end, preparation. I will admit though, it is hard to fit a storyline that occurs over the course of 6 months into a 2 hour movie. The only reason I am giving this a higher rating is because I think that the the main characters are perfect in their roles.
