Kampen om den røde ko (1987)
A cult classic
This movie is fabulous...at least if you're into the humor of Mikkelsen and Stephensen (which I am). Axel Strøbye is absolutely brilliant in this movie and delivers an huge amount of one-liners. His scenes with Madsen (played by Preben Kristensen) is something to behold. An excellent, silly, funny and superb movie which has already gotten cult status.
Mig og min lillebror (1967)
Enjoyable Danish comedy
This entertaining Danish comedy tells the tale of two brothers and their struggle to keep the farm where they live. The brothers are brilliantly played by Poul Reichhardt and Dirch Passer. Dirch, as always, delivers a fabulous comedic performance while Reichhardt displays his talent for comedy as well. Other members of the cast include Lily Broberg who you can only love and Karl Stegger who once again manages to do a lot with limited material in another supporting role.
This movie is not a great big movie with a thrilling plot or a major work of fiction. However, like so many other Danish comedies of that time it keeps you entertained for 90 minutes and there are plenty of laughs along the way. I give it an 8 out of 10.
Pulp Fiction (1994)
My all time favorite movie
When I first saw Pulp Fiction I didn't really get it and thought it was boring as hell. Later on I bought a cheap VHS version of it wanting to give it a second chance - and I wasn't sorry! I've since seen it lots of times and have recently gotten the 2 disc Collector's Edition DVD of it.
Pulp Fiction is a thrilling tale of interesting characters whose life interfer with each other throughout this 150 minute movie. 3 stories told as one. Amazingly enough the dialog carries it all the way showing how good a screenplay writer Quentin Tarantino really is.
See this movie - I give it a perfect 10
