T.T. Syndrome (2002)
2/10
Oh, dear....it's just bad
17 March 2024
"T T Syndrome" stumbles out of the gate with morbid visuals and lackluster cinematography that detract from any potential narrative impact. Shot with a porn grade camera basically. The film's acting falls flat, hovering around an average grade at best, failing to engage or evoke any genuine emotion from the audience. With a plot that struggles to find its footing and moments that veer into unintentional hilarity, it's hard to take "T T Syndrome" seriously. Ultimately, it's a disappointing experience that leaves viewers questioning why they invested their time in it. With its poor execution and lack of redeeming qualities, it's a wonder it garners a rating of 6/10 on IMDB. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this cinematic misfire.

Warning: Spoilers
There is no real substance, just blood and gore all over the place. It starts off okay(ish), but quickly loses itself genre and depth wise. Ten minutes in, and it turns into a mindless bloodbath, with hardly any entertaining scenes, or rather there is nothing original to be seen. Few pointless clashes, fights and 15 minutes in, the main character truns into a larger then God figure, killing off all the bad guys without any limitation. By doing so, the writters have made it soooo pointless, since the guy is practically unstoppable and can end the entire series in aabout 2 minutes. Using a form know as "deus ex machina", to this amount is just nothing but some lazy writing.

So this brings us to the final question "what's the point?", trully. Guys family gets killed for semi-known reason, he turns into a god-like creature, he wins greatly from the start. There is no tension, no suspense, no drama.....just a very shallow narrative, seen 100s of times on TV , done in a slightly more colorful and intersting way (japanese anime).

I miiiight give episode 2 a try, but I doubtly expect any substance, as it is pretty bad.

The old man's still got it
11 December 2023
Overall average action flick. Pretty cliched, with a medium to low budget, bellow average pretty forward story. Yet, it has Brosnan in it, who still pulls it off to look badassed with a gun. He sells the part terrifically. Seems to be in a pretty good shape still. Movie is average paced, nice to watch and definitely a fiest for Brosnan fans. It has below 6 rating but I'm all fairness it is more of a 6.5. Definitely watch and do enjoy....

....oh and it's a last movie of James Caan ;)

...While watching this film you will keep thinking what were the producers thinking of getting rid of him as Bond. He was tailor made for the role...

Napoleon (2023)
5/10
Yikes....too much of a love story
25 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In its entirety film felt like a mix of sequences shot for Viasat History Channel documentaries. The story lacked form and proper structure, characters were shallow and underdevelop (apart from Josepgine). No clear goals nor arcs were created (apart from Josephine) , and all Napoleon's relations with others felt distant and unconnected (apart for Josephine). I think by now you see where this is going. Yes, too much Josephine, typical Hollywood of today where you go to watch a movie about a man and you get a movie about a woman. They should've just shot a movie about Josephine instead, and that would have been fine.

The overall story felt rushed, so Napoleon's arc was almost unexisting. Sure hope the 4h version on apple tv makes it better. The scenography didn't feel as 18th and 19th Century Paris at all at times. The character of Napoleon was depicted as a weak man, unsure of himself, and very cocky just for having some strings of luck. The Russians were portrayed as stupid and violent, and it was just a winter that took care of his 400k men. The English were shown of course as the ultimate saviours and Wellington portryed as a far superior man and military expert. The only good thing is that the Prussians gave the final blow, which they in fact did. Lastly, Napoelon' final years have been rushed through again, not making us feel anything for the character. In fact, the most we felt for was the poor people doing all the "waring" and dying like flies, just to set some records straight and fulfill the goals of the upper class. (This is still here today unfortubatelly).

The only good thing were the battle scenes, although also a bit too rushed.

It started of okay, so I was thinking 7/10, and as it went on turned into 6/10, and finally once it dragged on the Josephine character, and mash pottatoes story, I went with 5/10.

Hm, I liked it more than MI Dead Reckoning 1
19 July 2023
Yup. There, I said it. It felt tiny bit better and significantly more entertaining than M:I, even though I had expected it to be the other way around.

There was all this bad publicity over this movie, and I kindda believed it at first, and then out of nowhere, friends asked me to give it a go and...boom. It was everything Kingdom of the Crystal Skull wasn't. Felt like a solid adventure, great pacing, great music, and I even liked the ending. Especially the last 20ish minutes.

It really has that Indiana Jones film vibe, at least to me, so .....best way is to check it yourself I guess. :)

The duration is definitely not a problem btw. They did it quite nicely, almost perfectly and Harrison is amazing at the age of 80.

Cox got an easy way out
18 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Wow! What a s....show.

Couldn't help but thinking how Brian Cox got it easy. He took a maestral outro, leaving the stages with a bang, leaving this terrible 4th season behikd him. I am appaled how this 9/10 and even 10/10 show in season 1,2 and 3 got to this sorry excuse for a show 4th season.

Anyhow, this is probably the only show I revalued taking it from 10/10 to 7/10, and the more its running, diving deeper and deeper in feces, I night even drop it more.

So I guess as of now, we will be watching the spoiled grown ass brats fighthing each other all over again, fightnig who gets on top, while we all know it should be Shiv....an easy choice since Kendall is a junkie and a weakling, the youngest is a clueless wannker, and she's the only one with the backbone and enough finesse to pull it off.

Anyhow, this is a prime example how a great show can easily turn to a very bad one. It welt like watchin fox life or something.

I still might give the season a watch however one thing's for certain, I will not re-watch it that's for sure.

So many different seasons, I rank them The Good, The Bad, The Ugly...The Good, The Average action movie
21 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In general I don't wrtite these reviews much, however I simply had to share my experience with this show and how it drove me.

Season 1 started of as very dark, very realistic depiction of low to mid level mafia, and how they operate on the streets, how they smuggle and what are the fears they all live with. It was absolutely breath taking, sort of like Game of Thrones only in Naples. Very intelligent, very down to earth with some of the amazing scenes, especially the ones about assassinations and similar acts of violence. We got to see some great perfomances and great casting and directing. The ambiance, the music, the dialogues. Everything was pure gold straight to the end, with the last episode of the season being the top of the season. It was trully a breath of fresh air, something new and original, with Italian cinema at its finest. But...

In came in Season 2. Very down to earth, with a different vibe, different approach and somewhat boring. I almost stopped watching, however I had pulled through since it still had some great scenes, a lot of stuff you could learn from and some original fimiling and original thought put in. In total it wasn't bad, it just didn't managed to fully grasp the vibe of the original. Season 1 for me was 10/10, while this one was 8/10 at best.

Now speaking of grades, in comes season 3 which is 6/10 at best. Very different, very typical , very hollywoodian as if it was made for Fox Crime, rather than an original show. There were some new faces doing some of the same stuff we already had seen, then we had none of the tension, just some pointless action and pointless pathetic scenes. Hell, it was more like watching Titanic than a crime drama.

Thankfully they got back on the track in Season 4, which was super. It went quite well, back to the roots, with some hard core criminal stuff going on. 9/10

and then we got season 5, which turned out to be an action packed movie meets telenovela from Latin America meets Turkish crime show. Very predictable, full of cliches, unoriginal, dead people coming back to life etc. Just a huge pile of mess with some great action sceens but fitted more for an action movie, than this. Everyone turned into a CIA opperative all of a sudden.

Final conclusion, give it a watch, especially Season 1, and maybe 2, and after that you might go directly to season 4 or just stop at season 2 and start watching something else. It started of as a great show, but turned into such a hassle. Such missed opportunity. I mean I gave it 8/10 in total mainly due to originality of the season 1 and the overall idea.

What a waste
7 November 2022
So...the movie started off quite nicely but one could see right off the bat that cgi in this one is sub par compared to previous Thor movies. However the guns n roses soundtrack kick ...all it should :)

We then get taken to Jane Foster story which has huge potential and is a main drive of the movie. In fact, it never gets exploited enough due to various pointless subplots, such as the one with Asgard kids...Mad Max 3 anyone? Such a miss from the writers.

Now, along with bad cgi and the general feel of a kids movie, we got a very bad looking costumes. At times Thor looks as if in an SNL sketch. The green screens were awful too, so one could conclude that the post production was rushed.

Overall started well, with second act being okay and third one being super bad. I sure hope they bring back the bad ass Thor in future films.

Quite interesting actually
31 October 2022
Well, at first after seeing it has only 4.7/10 I did not expect much. I actually thought it might be one of those movies you stop watching after first 15 minutes of it....however I was in for a quite surprise :) It has huuuge potential and great general primesse. It was shot nicely, some interesting scenec and concepts. Samantha Bond is just brilliant. Now, the plot and the screenplay do suffer from cliches and obvious expectations, hence I almost gave it 7/10 if there weren't for such a messy third act. In all generalsenes I would enjoy a sequel. Anyhow, nice little indie film. Do give it a watch and don't let such a low ratings turn you away from it. Cheers.

Now there are good shows, there are great shows, there are awesome shows....and there are f....n awesome shows! And this one's just it.

It hits all the right spots. The right dosage of intrigue, drama, family feud....it's Dynasty meets GoT meets Billions.

I see a lot of bad rates mainly from the people who couldn't get pass the first or first few episodes. After that it's an f'n run full of power plays, big d. Moves, backstabbing and tense piling up.

This one's a winner!

Well.....
12 December 2021
...it has the same vibe, the same feel to it, but I must say it seemed forced for this day and age. Also, the "girls" are too old for this type of show. It is just tasteless to have ladies at this age talking about sex and pretending everything's the same. Well, an obvious cash grab. Plus they are forcing the PC culture so much it's just obnoxious.

Wow! Just wow!
18 September 2021
Well.....I literally came along with my wife to make her company. What came next was a pure astonishment. This movie is sooo beautiful, well edited, proportionate and special. It definitely manages to touch viewer's soul, something Toma is constantly mentioning in the movie that is breaking and you can see it. Toma's death and Yugoslavia's death go heand in hand, so one not only feels sad about him, but also about what once was. Amazing movie. Not sure if non-ex-Yugoslavian people would like it as much, but ex-Yugoslavs will have such an emotial catharsis with this one. If I could I would've given it 11/10.

No way near it's current rating
5 June 2021
Well, one thing's for certain, this is definitely not a below 6/10 mark movie.

Sure, it's no Saving Private Ryan, but it's not Rambo 2 either. So somewhere between 7 and 8 it is its current setting.

Now, the movie itself showed for more than I had initially expected, mostly due to the poor rating which may had been politically induced.

It does portray U. S. soldiers as the only true good guys in Nam, while also providing a vague reason for which US Army was there in the first place, creating a large justification moment.

Nevertheless, it is a good war movie, if watched just for that, with politics aside. There's lot of action, lot of unfairness (especially in the chain of command) and lot of tragedy, which any war is in its core in the first place.

Now, the war conflicts and barrages are being shown in a great, identifiable way, with a lot of chaos and havoc. The fact there are no untouchables in the movie, makes it a movie well before its time.

So in the end it's definitely not making into a top 10 war movies, but it is definitely in the top 30 or 20 even.

I would have given it a 7.5/10 in a heartbeat, however since there is no half point in imdb, and the fact that 5.7/10 is way below what this movie deserves, I gave it an 8, so it could pick up and once it reaches above 7, I will downgrade the grade to 7.

Anyhow, good movie, enjoyable, and Marion Robert Morrison pulls it off as a green beret Colonel at the age of 60.

It starts out slow, simple and somewhat typical.

It is later on the entire story and drama develops.

I realize some think the ending was a cliche but it was far better then expected because in fact he died for the same reasons he killed. Perfect!

22 January 2020
He did such a great job. He truly is Pope Francis. His performance is Oscar worthy.

As for the film itself, well ....it's 9 until 1hour mark, where it starts to loose itself and becomes 7. Shortly at the end its 8, however the spark from the first hour is gone throughout.

Also, I could not help but think at times that this movie is slightly a propaganda thing.

17 December 2019
2 hours long commercial for being cool, sexy and jacked up.

Pointless movie, with generic villains, generic heroes, generic action. To a point is quite similar to deadpool 1 screenplay, but in a bad way, since Deadpool is a hit, this one's a miss. ....speaking of which I still miss my 2 hours of life.

Don't watch it.

9 December 2019
The movie starts alright, after 20-30 minutes it becomes quite good, after 40 it becomes interesting, and then around an hour or so, it does complete 180 and turns into....Nick Cage movie :)

It seems as if they had no money to pay the original writer to the fullest, so after 75% completion of screenplay, they fired the original writer, and then gave it to their children to do the rest.

All in all very tense, very interesting....and very typical and pointless in the end.

Warning: Spoilers
Probably the worst movie this year and worst Brad Pitt movie to date.

No touch with reality.

No sense of importance.

No sense of team work since Brad can do it all.

....and just as you think "ok, nevermind, let's just give it a try for what it is", you get a scene where a baboon atacks Brad in one of the space ships. It was sooo hilarious.

Then by the time they reach Mars, and yeah copilot cannot fly the plane but Brad can, the atmosphere turns into a mix of Space Oddyssey, Interstellar and ...further hillariousness. I don't know what happens after since I had left the theater.

Save your money, save your sanity and save your soul, don't watch it even on blue ray.

Warning: Spoilers
'Merica ueber alles

So the main thesis of this film is that if Americans do it, it's ok, yet if someone else does it, it is not (in this case Russia). This movie is suuuuch propaganda made by the american hypocritical system, it is pure unwatchable. Anyone who knows a bit of modern history, would laugh at the facts pointed out here. Some of the details being that FSB bombed its own buildings, using the explosives that would tie it to them. Come on, it is the first rule in the book, no one operates so obvious. Second, they are stating that Russia is influencing the public opinion. Thank God that US is not doing so, just spreading out the Democracy all over the world through their military actions.

Long Live the Fuel

Coming to the thesis that Russia runs the fuel business is such BS, being that US had waged wars for that sole purpose (Iraq, Afghansitan, Syria), while Russia is at least using their own resources, nothing bad about that.

Conclusion

All in all, pass this one. It is one of the worst documentaries out there. This is something no informed adult can believe in. Just terrible and so obviously propagandish.
