Twin Peaks: Lonely Souls (1990)
I am currently RECOVERING from this episode.
David Lynch shows his genius once more. I have fallen off of my chair whilst watching a TV show, overwhelmed with emotion just once. That was Breaking Bad Ozymandias. I am truly in awe at this masterpiece of an episode. I strongly believe that this might be the best episode of TV ever. I did not want this review to be full of plot analysis, spoilers or any direct relation to the idea of 'review'. I am sorry if this is not entirely a 'review' but if I could convey to just one person how sublime this episode was to me, then maybe others may share in the awe that I have just. I urge you to watch the art that I have witnessed. Utterly unbelievable I am staggered beyond recognition.
The Departed (2006)
The ending was very poor for what was a very good film.
I give a 1/10 for the ending alone. It is like baking and sampling a delicious delicacy intended for a shop window of a bakery and then stamping on it in mud and petrol covered tatty leather boots. For what was a pleasing film visually, story line wise with good character profiles , the conclusion to this piece of cinematography is literally murdered and crushed and burnt by a horrifically composed, abrupt, unfitting and distasteful end to a good story. For 2 hours and 30 minutes I enjoyed watching this film until the abomination of an end, I would recommend watching this film, but only for 2:30, decide the ending yourself rather than having the pain of viewing it.
The Room (2003)
Utterly abominable- A must see!
Quite possibly, no scratch that, IT IS the worst film ever produced, and naturally you have to see it. I sat down to watch this and thought the video reels had been mixed with other sound files, the plot? where did that go and my god the monotony, I have gained nothing from seeing this film and nor will anybody. It actually made me feel good about myself knowing that a year 1 Christmas play is The Godfather compared to this abysmal trash. I cannot reiterate how every patient suffering from depression must watch this to feel happy again and I cannot emphasise the need for this to be used to make ANYONE feel uncomfortable for 99 minutes. Is it 99 to cut costs, speaking of cutting costs, just re-watch the flower shop scene, unbelievable.
