The Undoing: The Bloody Truth (2020)
It is true...
... everyone is guilty until proven otherwise. The show was amazing! It made me suspect everyone... except the baby girl haha The acting was impeccable and everything else was just perfect. Nicely done!
Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side (2020)
Could have been better!
Interesting plot and amazing acting. The music and artwork are perfect. The show could've been better if a few more details were added and more logic was followed. calling a name because one had a "gut" feeling doesn't make that person or the writers smart. It just shows that the writers are lazy. That said, I am anxious for season 2, although it won't be as thrilling because we won't have the mystery of who the killer is.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019)
suspenseful, colourful, and entertaining!
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a "dark" fairy tale masterpiece! I enjoyed every second of it.
Zombieland: Double Tap (2019)
A much needed sequel!
Zombieland never disappoints! Everything, from acting, music, cinematography, font, etc., is perfect! There is even a reward clip at the end of the movie! Literally, DOUBLE TAP!
Robin Hood (2018)
Had room for improvement, otherwise...
It is a good movie. Contrary to the negative reviews here that made me watch this in 2019, I liked the movie. The acting, storytelling, details, and everything else were all excellent. Somethings are a bit exaggerated, but it's a story of a legend. Deal with it. I recommend it if you love action, strategy, and war.
This Means War (2012)
Time well spent every single time!
I decided to write this after I watched the movie tonight for the +30th time! I love this movie. It is funny, romantic, hot, wet, suspenseful, intelligent, fun, hilarius, and cheerful. If you want to watch something that makes you smile, gasp, laugh so hard, and bite your lip... This is the movie for you.
Chernobyl: Vichnaya Pamyat (2019)
An honest review
I do remember a few weeks back when people said that giving 10/10 to an episode is not accurate. According to the standards set by other users, acting, cinematography, and everything else are not taken into consideration when rating an episode. The story line is the only thing that matters. Isn't that why people rated the Game of Thrones finale 1/10? People made it really hard to rate this without taking Game of thrones into consideration. However, I will try to be as accurate in my review as possible without referring to GOT again and without following the other users' new standards.
The opening scene was brilliant: life before the nuclear disaster. And right after that, we see the trial to find out the fate of the three men who represent the political corruption in the union as well as the fate of the two men who sacrificed themselves to stop a global disaster from happening. The whole trial is a repetition of the things shown in episodes 1-4 and nothing else. In other words, boring! However, the acting was great. Jared Harris did a great job, as well as Stellan Skarsgard and Emily Watson.
The pace of the episode was slow even though it goes back and forth in time. A lot of the screen time was wasted on vacant scenery that were supposed to paint a terrifying scene, but didn't. I felt nothing but bored when watching the episode. There was no element of surprise or development in the episode since the writers chose to show us the end in the first episode in order to save the people from searching for the ending online and lose interest in the show. The episode lacked the suspense that was present in the first 3 episodes. So, I guess 5/10 is more than fair for this episode, and it is based on the skill of the actors and the writers of some good lines like "We are so focused on our search for the truth we fail to consider how few actually want us to find it. But it is always there whether we see it or not".
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
It could've been better
I remember rooting for the starks from day 1 and I am actually happy about how the show ended with Jon being finally free and riding with the wildlings. I kind of laughed when they chose Bran as king, but that grew on me later on as it was the only way to achieve peace in the six kingdoms.
I just wish that they showed more conversation and reactions in the episode. The time jump from Dany's death to the dragon pit gathering disappointed me. I wanted to see the expression on everyone's face when they knew about Jon killing Dany. There was so much left untold and so many loose ends. I do wish there is a sequel in the making, not just prequels, maybe following Arya the explorer.
Apart from that, the episode was emotional. I cried a couple of times and I wished I could express my feelings like Drogon. The acting was excellent and the CGI, music, costumes and the settings were spot on. The episode had amazing frames and scenes. I loved seeing Drogon rise from the ashes. Oh, and Drogon's wings spreading behind Daenerys... genius! I loved that so much. I'm glad it was jon who killed Dany, and not Arya. Jon never deviated from his character and was righteous till the end, even when he killed her. On the other hand, Sansa becoming the queen in the north was absolutely well deserved. She defended her people and did what's right for them. She always sought council as a warden and that will make her a great queen.
Even though this season was somehow rushed, it is still the end of an amazing and extraordinary tv series that we all enjoy and love. The final season could've been better, but this is what we have and I love it. Thank you, Game of Thrones family. This was an honour.
The Big Bang Theory: The Stockholm Syndrome (2019)
Perfection
Everything in the episode was perfect and witty. Change to the better does not happen overnight, even with the help of our closest friends.
I love that Sheldon and Amy won and that the show ended with all of them having dinner together with the theme of tbbt playing. The episode had some inspiring and wonderful speeches as well. Amy's "if anybody tells you you can't, don't listen!" made me so proud and teary.
It's bittersweet to say goodbye to one of the greatest shows ever. A show that inspired many of us to do better and learn some hard science words like Penny did!
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Valar morghulis
I guess the show is all about this saying. Dany just went Valar Morghulis on king's landing and became the queen of the ashes. Sad that her character changed in the last season, but it was a flip of a coin.
Visually, this episode was so satisfying. I also liked seeing all these different expressions on the main characters. Plot-wise, I was somehow disappointed that Arya didn't get to kill Cersei. But, well, she killed the night king.
All the previous seasons were building up to this episode, the final game? Hope so! Although, I sense a rebellion on the way!!!!
I also expect more deaths in the last episode. It won't be Game of Thrones if it didn't end in death. Can't wait till next week.
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
A case of perspective
Aside from the coffee cup, everything else was great in the episode. The acting was amazing, the visuals, music and sound effects were all excellent. The plot, frames, costumes and makeup were fabulous. The jokes and the conversations were interesting.
Now, why are people rating this less than 5? I mean seriously?! The thing you didn't like in the plot is not the only thing you're rating here! "oh, Jon didn't pet Ghost", "couldn't Dany see the fleet from above?", "How can they turn our beloved Dany into the mad queen?", "what's the point of the three-eyed-raven if he's not warning Dany about the fleet?", and "logic is not to be found in the show anymore."
It is sad that the powerful and strong khaleesi we love has gone selfish, destructive and vengeful but it is what it is. People would've complained as well if she agreed to co-rule with Jon and would've said that she worked hard to be where she is to give up all that she worked for, or that it is a cliché or "fan-service". So, it is a risk the writers took, and it is the right one. Power and money blind the best of people. This is life. Cope with it!
The show is fantastic and I love the thrill and all kinds of emotions it makes me feel. I enjoy every minute of it, even the ones that make me heartbroken and sad.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
A roller-coaster
To witness the end of this legendary franchise is bittersweet. This movie makes one cry, laugh, smile, think, cheer, worry, and imagine. It is perfection. Everything from acting, directing, sound effects, and storytelling is flawless. I watched it twice already and I am eager to watch it again.
Scandal: That's My Girl (2016)
Was that really the season finale?
I love this show. I mean, I love it so much that I wake up at 6 am on Friday (weekend here, in Iraq) to watch it. But this was just a regular episode. It didn't feel like a finale.
I give it a 10 because I am loyal. But there should've been another episode to finish this in a more mind-blowing way. We are all programmed to expect more when it comes to this show. Yes, yes, Olivia finally saves Jake from Command, that was awesome. However, all we wanted was to see them both go towards the sun, not deeper in darkness.
My favorite moment: "DAMN!" Favorite scene: Olivia holding Jake's hand. Favorite argument: Definitely the president and Mellie. Scariest thing ever: Olivia becoming Command!
