The Golden Compass (2007)
What a shame.
All the bad things about this movie:
1) they didnt even call it the proper title
2) Very Very inacurate to the book
3) its not even a golden compass its an athethiometer
4) lousy screenplay
5) an insult to Phillip pullman
6) why did they have to cast an americain atress to play the evil woman
7) Just generally a let down
8) why did Phillip pullman even allow this adaption to be made
9) it felt like they just picked bits from the book, at random and put them in any old order.
10) it is dumed down to suit the american audience, when the book is by a wonderful british author
all the good things about this movie:
1) good cast overall
2) good special effects
thats all i have to say
Cinderella (2015)
Ive never really liked Cinderella
Lily james is really really really anoying as Cinderella not very good humanisasion of the cartoon characters. and quite a bland adaption
Broadchurch (2013)
Goog show
Good show good acting good script not much else to say....
Doctor Who: Smile (2017)
like the idea of emojji bots but not very well exicuted
Great idea but the plot was just boring. not a great episode
Doctor Who: The Pilot (2017)
Thats more like it... Exellent companion tons better than the last!
Wow...
Bill is probably the best companion moffat has created. Bill brings a breath of fresh air. for once a moffat episode which isnt over complicated and boring storyline.. the plot is simple but in this case less is more! if i dint know who it was written by, i probably would have assumed it was Russel T Davies who wrote the episode... Capalidi also seems different as well. brilliant first episode to the season great job pearl capaldi and moffat!
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Watched 10 Minutes In My History class at school... Very disturbing film. I know i cant really judge but it is really disturbing
When i say disturbing I mean disturbing...
volience gore and graphic imagery is serve in this film. when i had to watch it in history class at school i ended up shutting my eyes and putting my fingers in my ears. gave me nightmares for 2 whole weeks.. would not recommend this to anyone below the age of 18+. I dont know the rest of the film but ten minutes for me was enough to judge. not saying it is a bad film because it might not be. but for me it was too graphic.
Grandpa's Great Escape (2018)
The Best Yet
Great film adapted from a great book. With a stellar cast. Very enjoyable worth the watch. This film is for all ages.
Doctor Who: The Name of the Doctor (2013)
Why Does Clara Have To Have That Big A Significance For A Companion? No Companion Should Be Allowed To Do That. Compared To RTDs Finales This Was Pathetic.
Somebody please kill off Clara Oswald
This more like a regular episode rather than a finale to the seires
Why did the cast Jenna halfway through the seires? It almost feels like it is a completly different seires to the half with the wonderful Karen Gillian and Aurther Darvill. The story was good, but why does Clara get the best role for a companion? Jumping through the Doctors time stream should not be allowed. Compared to Russel T Davies seires four, three and two and one finale episodes, this is medioce. Apart from the fact that Clara has possibly two of the most anoying cathphases: "The soufle isnt the sofle the sofle is the recipe" Run you clever boy and remember me"
If you like Clara watch this episode.
If you dont then I wouldnt
7/10 and thats if you exclude Clara from the episode
Doctor Who: The Power of Three (2012)
Elements Of Russel T Davies Era
The Power of Thre e is definetly an underated episode. The Power of Three is actually really good, purley because it is not over complicated like most of Moffats episodes. I find that having too complicated a story can often take the enjoyment out of the episode, because you are constantly trying to work out why things are happening. This is very often the case with any episodses written by Moffat. This episode is not the case. It explores elements which Moffat has never really explored in his episodes; familly life and life without the Doctor. It is very much like a Russel T Davies episode, as it is much more accessible to younger veiwers. The plot itself is very origanal, but is a little rushed towards the ending. However, if the BBC would give Doctor Who an hour slot the ending would be perfect. Also it is much more enjoyable than the rest of the episodes in series, also the characterisation and dialoge is spot on!
Doctor Who: The Return of Doctor Mysterio (2016)
Watchted The First 10 Minutes Of It And Switched Off! 0/10
If I was to summarise this episode in one word it would be crap. Didn't feel Christmassy in any way. Probably the worst episode of modern Who ever. After seeing the previous Christmas special "The Husbands of River Song" which was good, the 2016 Christmas special was a complete and utter piece of crap. Didn't make me feel in a Christmas mood at all, but instead made me as bored as hell. Why oh why did they have to put a flipping superhero into the mix. The worst episode ever! Do yourselves a favor and watch, the Time of Doctor or The End of Time for God sake two of the best Christmas specials so far. Although I reckon Twice Upon A Time will be amazing. Can't wait to see that episode and I definitely won't be switching off this time!
The Great British Bake Off: Cake Week (2017)
The Day It Moved To Channel 4 Was The Day It Officaily Ruined!!
Reasons why the show is now a load of rubbish: 1. It's not on the BBC so you get loads of annoying ads 2. Noel Feilding is not even funny 3. It's not the Bake Off without Mel & Sue and of course Mary Berry! 4. Just utterly ruined 5. Prue is not as nice as Mary Berry 6. Noel and Sandi are trying to be too much like Mel and Sue. When little do they realize that nobody will ever be the same as Mel and Sue. 7. The Bake Off IS NOT THE SAME! I gave it chance but shan't be watching the next series!
Doctor Who (2005)
Great Show Cant Wait For New Seires Jodie Whittaker Is Gonna Be Amazing!
Doctor Who is great. I loved David Tennant, as the tenth Doctor, he has some really great acting skills and the episodes were amazing. However, when Stephen Moffat became the new show-runner, I haven't really enjoyed the episodes as much as I liked the Russell T Davies episodes, as I thought that some of the more recent episodes were over complicated, uneventful and sometimes very unentertaining. The reason I am giving the show a 9 is because I feel that the new writer Chris Chibnall will be able to deliver viewers a great new era to Doctor Who, and I think that the choice of casting Jodie Whittaker was a phenomenal choice. Jodie Whittaker is a brilliant actress, and it is the best they have made since David Tennant who became the Doctor in 2005.
Beauty and the Beast (2017)
Amazing Best Movie Of 2017
I was exited for this movie to be released in the cinema, it was quite an unforgettable experience going to see this movie. i thought it would be about eight stars out of ten, but as it turns out it is actually ten , it was really quite an entertaining movie, Emma Watson was brilliant as Belle, she just seemed to get it just right. Seeing Beauty and the Beast, was well worth it, it had the right mixture of charm, and dark moments in this movie, Gaston (Luke Evans) was a great version of Gaston, in the movie when i first saw Gaston appear on the screen, i automatically knew that they had got the casting right. The movie was funny charming and sad all at the same time, i actually thought i was going to cry, in the scene where Belle and the Beast dance together, the film was slightly different to the original but didn't seem to loose the atmosphere that the original brought to its audience.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011)
Great ending to the series, Amazing
Great ending to the series I thought it was quite good, but they missed some crucial bits out, and altered quite a few bits, it was quite entertaining, I think that the battle scenes, and stunts where done quite well. I found the scene in pensive, the best part. I think is not as good as Fantastic Beasts, is because the visuals are more up to date and there is not much to be disappointed with because the book Fantastic Beasts does not have an actual plot. However I think it is one of the best out of the HP series, and to be honest, I don't think another director could have done as good a job as David Yates, and the rest of the film crew!
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)
Stunning Visuals, Funny, Entertaining from start to finish
The film is just amazing, with stunning, sets visuals and plot. My favorite character is Jacob the no-mag. Definitely worth paying the admission, it was so amazing that I was left speechless at the end. I love the fact that it has some resemblance to the Harry Potter. I loved how Newts case has lots of dimensions. My favorite beast was the Niffler, I thought it was really quite cute. However it isn't really like the Harry Potter movies, which I think is a good thing because it gives HP fans a chance to see something different by J.K Rowling, with some different actors too. I thought Eddie was the perfect choice for Newt. I loved Dan Fogler too! The film was the best film I have ever seen, I cant wait for the second film. Very developed, worth seeing, definitely entertaining from start to finish. Really quite unforgettable!!
