Without Bryan Cranston, this show probably wouldn't be nearly as good as it is.
Very archetypal, yet shockingly innovative. The show went out in, perhaps, the greatest series finale in the history of television: perfect, especially in the tragic Greek kind-of-way.

Votes: 175,536
I am always looking for a reason to like this show more, but the last six episodes of the serious completely devastate that possibility.
The fact remains that if not for the existence of those last six episodes--which make it obvious the writers had written themselves into a corner, this would easily be in my top five. Still a great show. It grabs you the first minutes of the first episodes and doesn't let you go until four seasons later.

Votes: 351,376
This series speaks for itself and the fact that it is still one of the most-watched syndicated shows speaks volumes.
I acknowledge that many of those younger than I have its humor lost upon them. I hold out hope that one day, even they will find themselves comparing day-to-day events to episodes of Seinfeld.

Votes: 62,823
This show would have surpassed its cinema-namesake had it been given the chance to evolve properly. However, it was cancelled in its second season and the last couple episodes are a crash-course in how not to end a great series.
Summer Glau is my favorite Terminatrix ever.

Fringe is complex, serialized show, and to miss an episdode and understand the storyline is difficult. I'm sure its complexity and serialized nature are what has hurt it with viewers. The first season is a grim look at a post-apocalyptic future in which every inhabitant of earth is under the age of 30 (or some such). Great premise and executed well during its first season.
The second season is a bit of an abortion from time to time with a character with the worst southern aristocrat accent in the history of television. Also, the mysticism offered up by Sean Astin's character downplay an otherwise good show.

--A number of great ideas that constantly try to out-do themselves. Making linear episodes would have been difficult, but could certainly have been done to much greater effect. Also, there's a 90's schlock to it that doesn't hold up to time very well. Nevertheless, it's a fun show to watch.
