Cullen Douglas’ feel-good documentary “Billy Flanigan: Happiest Man on Earth” has landed at Good Deed Entertainment. The film will debut in theaters Oct. 1 before its on-demand release Oct. 7.
A Disney World performer since 1982, Billy Flanigan became a national sensation during the pandemic. After Disney parks shut down, he embarked on a 7,000-mile bike ride across the country, delivering live musical performances (or “Flanigrams”) to brighten peoples’ days. Out of the spotlight, however, Flanigan struggled to come to terms with his sexuality. The documentary delves into his life and career, using archival footage and candid interviews to tell his story.
“Someone magical who just always comes when they need to be there,” one interview subject describes him as in the trailer, which you can watch below.
“My job at Disney has just been the most incredible journey, so I wake up every day and I think I am,” Flanigan reflects at the end of the video.

Hey, "Hawaii Five-0" fans. It's time, again, to find out what's coming up in the next, new episode of this current 10th season. The next, new episode will, of course, be episode number 3. Let's give CBS a round of applause. They came through again with a few teaser descriptions for episode 3 via their official press release. We'll be working off of it for this spoiler session. So, let's not waste anymore time and just dig right into it. For starters, the producers did name this episode something. The official title for episode 3 is called,"E uhi ana ka wa i hala i na mea i hala." That means, "Passing time obscures the past" in English. So, that's neat I guess. It sounds like episode 3 will feature some very interesting, intense, highly dramatic and shocking scenes as a murdered scuba diver is found. Quinn gets arrested and more! We'll go ahead...

Lonely slacker Jonathan is stuck working night shifts at a convenience store. When he goes on a blind date with a strange woman, his world suddenly begins to unravel in horrifying fashion. Plagued by paranoia, illness and nightmarish visions, he desperately searches the suburbs for the mysterious seductress. His friends and family believe he’s losing his mind, but he believes he’s the target of a sinister occult plot.
The Black String comes from director Brian Hanson, who also co-wrote the film with Richard Handley – who also stars in the film as Dr. Ronaldi. For both this is their first feature, with Handley having penned some shorts previously. However in the case of Hanson is his first film period.

Supernatural Evil Forces Terrorize Frankie Muniz in Trailer For The Horror Thriller The Black String
It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen Malcom in the Middle star Frankie Muniz star in anything, but he’s got a horror movie coming out called The Black String and we have a trailer to share with you for it!
The Black String is a supernatural infection thriller that follows a character named Jonathan, “a lonely twenty-something, stuck in his hometown working night shifts at the local convenience store.” Jonathan’s life is turned upside down after he has an unexpected encounter with a mysterious woman. “Jonathan is stricken by illness and nightmarish visions. "This is worse than poison." Lionsgate has debuted an official trailer for an indie paranoia horror-thriller titled The Black String, which first premiered at the Austin Film Festival last year and is finally getting a direct-to-dvd/VOD release this fall. This stars Frankie Muniz (remember him?) as a twenty-something drifter whose life is turned upside down after an "unexpected encounter with a mysterious woman." He's soon overcome by illness and nightmarish visions. His friends believe he is losing his mind, but Jonathan is convinced he's the target of something far more sinister. The cast includes Chelsea Edmundson, Blake Webb, Jackie Moore, Alexander Ward, Ravi Patel, Cullen Douglas, and Angie DeGrazia. This looks a bit like It Follows, but twisted into a nightmarish, infection horror thriller. Maybe it's freakish fun? Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Brian Hanson's The Black String, direct from YouTube (via Bd): Jonathan (Frankie Muniz) is a lonely twenty-something,...

The new "Twin Peaks" isn't slated to debut on Showtime until 2017, but a flurry of speculation about it happened last week with a tweet from Go For Locations indicating that filming had wrapped on the "first two seasons" of the series.
The episode count for the David Lynch-directed series was always in question, but that tweet suggested we'd be getting even more episodes than originally planned. Said tweet has since been deleted, so we'll have to wait to see how that pans out.
in the meantime in more official news, Showtime, Lynch and Mark Frost has released the official cast list for the new series with a whopping 217 names across the various episodes - a list that includes some real surprise big name inclusions such as Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eddie Vedder, Ashley Judd, Ernie Hudson, Jim Belushi, Richard Chamberlain, Laura Dern,...

Beatle is a quirky loner who refuses to live by society’s rules. Her only human contact is with her psychiatrist and the stripper/hooker she employs once a week. Everything changes the night she meets Athena, a suicidal blonde with a secret.
Guns for Hire is one of those films where you are absolutely sure what is going on, right up until the big reveal at the end, where you suddenly realise you did not have a clue at all what was going on. The twist within a twist within a twist is done so well, I actually did not have a clue that it was coming and was too busy enjoying Guns for Hire for what it was.

Something very strange has been going on at the Acme Theatre these last few weeks. Some…Thing! Sci-Fi Fest La was back for a second year, and it was better than ever! Bringing together actors old and new, the program featured a series of one-act plays, most of which were specifically written for the event. Even genre icons Clive Barker and Neil Gaiman were eager to donate stories!
The program started with a play titled A Billion Tuesdays. A mentally disabled man creates a device that alters reality to varying degrees based on the number of times you click the button, leading to realities involving zombie apocalypses, futuristic technology, and even a “what if the Nazis had won” scenario. By the end of the play, it’s apparent that the father intends for his daughter to use the device to alter his condition, but she remains adamant about her love for him and refuses.

Chicago – The problem with most horror films is that they don’t understand what really scares us, and substitute bloody messes or the jack-in-the-box “boo!” instead of what really gets under our skins. “The Possession of Michael King” is a rare and special exception, taking demonic possession to broad depths of psychological and religious symbolism.
Rating: 4.5/5.0
The story of a non-believer who seeks to make a film about proof of demonic possession has a full laundry list for that genre – the odd movements, the voices, the killings, the Church, the “found” video footage and the weird zealots aiding the possessed along the way. What it does differently with the material is in the context circumstance of extreme emotional distress, to the point that it all could be psychosomatic – fiercely so, but possible in the way its presented. Writer/director David Jung creates an environment of dread, one that marries to...

Based on the first two episodes of the show's nine-episode first season, here's why you should be watching, and how it comments on the superhero genre and tells its own story within it.
First off, it's fun. The series is directed in a fittingly comic book style, and even capers gleefully into motion comic-style animation for the action sequences; presumably not only to save on budget (superpowers can be pricey), but also as an effective stylistic choice. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s mid-season finale will feature a few familiar faces. From Mike Peterson, the first Centipede case the team investigated, to Raina, the girl in the flower dress, it seems the war between Centipede and S.H.I.E.L.D. is about to explode, literally and figuratively.
We have an exclusive clip from the episode, which shows the return of Cullen Douglas’ Edison Po, a.k.a. the man Raina visited in jail not long ago. It looks as though Centipede decides Po would be more useful outside of those pesky prison walls.
