Get Gotti, a Netflix docuseries, is currently topping the most-watched charts. A fascination with the mobster is nothing new. Since his arrest in the 1990s, John Gotti has fascinated crime aficionados and has been at the center of organized crime lore. Gotti’s illegal dealings, arrest, and death in 2002 are well-documented. The lives of his children are also fairly public. Still, there is one member of the Gotti family who has focused on living in obscurity since John Gotti’s death. What happened to John Gotti’s wife, Victoria Digiorgio?
How did John Gotti and Victoria Digiorgio meet?
Before the crime family and before the indictments, John Gotti and Victoria Digiorgio were just two young New Yorkers who met in a bar. The duo were just 16 and 18 when they fell in love. They dated for four years and married in 1962, at just 20 and 22 years old.

Victoria Gotti is setting the record straight. Again. A decade after the daughter of the infamous mob boss John Gotti put paper to pen to tell her family's story as she saw it in her 2009 memoir This Family of Mine: What It Was Like Growing Up Gotti, she's gotten the chance to see the story come to life on the small screen with the Lifetime Original Movie Victoria Gotti: My Father's Daughter, which she both executive-produced and served as on-screen narrator. And in both instances, the story that Gotti has sought to tell is one that flies in the face of the public's perception of her and her family. If you think being the daughter of a made man-turned-boss of New York City's Gambino crime family...

Highlights of their slate include Love You to Death (January 26) starring Marcia Gay Harden, which is based on the true story of a mother and daughter who are nothing like they seem, their tumultuous relationship ending in a brutal murder. More than 40 years since he strutted down a Brooklyn street in Saturday Night Fever, John Travolta returned to Bensonhurst recently wearing a white suit jacket that would have done his character Tony Manero proud. At the "John Travolta Day" celebration, John and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, greeted fans, posed for pictures, and danced to the Bee Gees. "They looked very happy," noted an onlooker. It wasn't just a show for the crowd. John, 64, and Kelly, 55, have a solid, happy union. The couple, who met while filming 1989's The Experts and married in 1991, have never let their romance falter, even in hard times. "A relationship doesn't just happen," Kelly exclusively confided to Closer Weekly. "You've got to work at it — keep it honest and communicate — and you've got to keep it fun." John Gotti might’ve been the consummate wise guy, but for John Travolta, Kelly Preston, and director Kevin Connolly, exploring his life on the big screen was more about depicting the love and loyalty at the heart of the crime boss’ complex family dynamic.
Speaking ahead of the world premiere of “Gotti” on May 15, when Travolta will also receive Variety’s first Cinema Icon Award at the Hotel du Cap, the trio talked about finding a fresh take for the most famous mobster in modern memory: the swaggering, larger-than-life Dapper Don whose “side of the story has never really been told,” according to Connolly.
The director, who describes himself as a “huge fan” of the genre, said he was mindful of the precedent set by iconic mob films and TV series like “Goodfellas” and “The Sopranos.” “It’s been done so well, so many times, by so many people, so...

When John Travolta strutted onto the “Gotti” set in costume, John Gotti’s spirit was present. Literally. John Gotti Jr. gave the star his dad’s shirts, cufflinks, watches, pocket squares, the whole wardrobe. Get close to his neckties and you could still smell the notorious mobster’s cologne. “His coat fit me,” says Travolta. “His jewelry fit my hands.”
So did the role. The two Johns rose to prominence at the same time. “We were kind of paralleling in our fame. But by the time he rose to his peak, I was already on my third comeback in movies.”
The opening credits sequence of “Gotti” is a documentary montage spliced from paparazzi footage of the mafia boss – the actual one – grinning through herds of photographers as he steps out of fancy cars and strolls down Manhattan sidewalks. It’s a chronicle of celebrity that Travolta himself has lived plenty.

"You'll need the support of all five boroughs." Vertical Ent. has debuted a second official trailer for crime thriller Gotti, spanning three decades telling the story of legendary crime boss John Gotti Sr., as played by John Travolta. The story focuses on Gotti's rise to power in New York, as well as his wife Victoria Gotti, played by Kelly Preston, along with his son John Gotti Jr., played by Spencer Lofranco. This film was slated as a last minute premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, which seems like an odd pick. It was originally set to open last December, but has been held until this June. The full cast includes Stacy Keach, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Megan Leonard, Lydia Hull, William DeMeo, Tyler Jon Olson, Leo Rossi, and Ella Bleu Travolta. This seems like a big film, and Travolta looks menacing, but I'm not excited at all to see it. Here's...

John Travolta is calling out the nature of the reports that his John Gotti biopic, in which he plays the notorious mobster, will no longer be released just 10 days before it was set to come out on Dec. 15.
Movie studio Lionsgate sold the film Gotti back to the production company Emmett/Furla/Oasis, according to multiple reports on Tuesday, thus scrapping its planned release later this month. On Wednesday, Travolta called the reports that his movie was abruptly pulled "grossly wrong."
“Unfortunately, the reports were speculation bordering on fake news,” Travolta tells Deadline. “Lionsgate was planning on a minimal release, and I did an investigation into people who might have the interest and financial wherewithal to better release it. [Producer] Ed [Walson] is a fan of mine and of the Gotti story and really wanted to see the movie. I invited his group, they saw it and bought it. That is the simple explanation for this."

"I will build something that nobody can destroy." Lionsgate has released the first official trailer for a new crime thriller titled Gotti, spanning three decades telling the story of legendary crime boss John Gotti Sr., as played by John Travolta. The story focuses on Gotti's rise to power in New York City, as well as his wife Victoria Gotti, played by Kelly Preston, along with his son John Gotti Jr., played by Spencer Lofranco. The full cast includes Stacy Keach, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Megan Leonard, Lydia Hull, William DeMeo, Tyler Jon Olson, Leo Rossi, and Ella Bleu Travolta. The pitch for this makes it seem like it wants to be the next Godfather, but the footage does not live up to that comparison. Travolta actually looks good in the role, but the rest of it doesn't seem that impressive to me, yet another typical mob crime biopic. Here's the...

Six years and two title changes after the project was announced, John Travolta will finally star as the titular Gambino family Mafioso in “Gotti.” Good Morning America debuted the film’s first trailer on Sept. 26, depicting the allegedly Gotti-ordered hit on his predecessor, Paul Castellano (Donald John Volpenhein), followed by his own demise from “The Teflon Don”—gleaming pompadour, designer suits—to a bald, craggy-faced inmate. Gotti died serving a murder sentence in 2002 at age 61; the cause was throat cancer. One of his sons, John Gotti Jr., helped advise director Kevin Connolly, and even provided Travolta with his father’s jewelry and ties to get into character.
Making “Gotti” was an unusual family bonding exercise for Travolta, who was last an Oscar nominee as “Pulp Fiction” hitman Vincent Vega: his real life wife (Kelly Preston) and daughter (Ella Bleu Travolta) play his relatives onscreen. On the steps of a courthouse,...

Teresa Giudice set the bar high for season finales when she flipped a table way back when in 2009. Subsequent conclusions, though never quite as shocking, always had an element of drama: screaming matches, accusations, tears. At the outset of the season 6 denouement, twins Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano seem poised to carry on that tradition. With Dina Manzo's Project Ladybug charity fashion show just hours away, the twins still have not cleared the air with Teresa G. (Quick recap: Teresa G.'s pal, Victoria Gotti revealed [...]...

On The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice has been dealing with her own harsh reality as the cameras followed the Bravo star leading up to her sentencing, but that doesn't mean she was exempt from the drama surrounding her costars. Cheryl Tiegs remains perfectly content that "The Celebrity Apprentice" was one-and-done for her.
The supermodel was among the contestants in last winter's Season 5 of Donald Trump's NBC competition, which talk-show-host-to-be-again Arsenio Hall ultimately won. Someone has to be the first booted from the boardroom, and after the initial sandwich-making challenge, it was Tiegs ... and months later, she maintains she didn't mind.
"It was not right for me," she tells Zap2it. "At that very first boardroom elimination, I said, 'With all due respect, Mr. Trump, this is not the right environment for me.' And when you say something like that, he has no choice but to fire you. And I said, 'Thank you,' and I walked away.

During the two-hour live finale for "The Celebrity Apprentice" on NBC Sunday (May 20) night, Donald Trump welcomed the previously fired contestants to the stage (minus Cheryl Tiegs and Michael Andretti, though his dad, Mario Andretti, did drive Donald Trump to the live show) -- including Victoria Gotti, George Takei, Tia Carrere, Patricia Velasquez, Lou Ferrigno, Dayana Mendoza, Aubrey O'Day, Lisa Lampanelli, Teresa Giudice, Dee Snider, Penn Jillette, Lisa Lampanelli, Debbie Gibson and Adam Carolla.
Find out who won "The Celebrity Apprentice."
Here are a few things we learned:
- Lou had surgery for his hearing impairment. "For the first time in my life I can hear without a hearing aid," he tells Donald.
- Dayana has nothing positive to say about Lisa, but Lisa thinks Dayana's crying impersonation of her was hilarious. "I think she's great," Lisa says about Dayana. "I love being made fun of. I dish it out and I can take it.
