Titan Comics’ “Conan The Barbarian” #6, now available, is written by Jim Zub and illustrated by Doug Braithwaite, with covers by Diego Rodriguez, Jae Lee, Patch Zirchir, Dan Panosian and Joey Spiotto:
“…after adventures on the high seas, ‘Conan’ returns to shore to find himself haunted by his memories of ‘Belit’, captain of the ‘Tigress’ and ‘Queen of the Black Coast’.
“Can a high-stakes heist draw him out of his tortured past, or will it plunge him deeper into the chaos that has always been waiting for him?…”

Not to be confused with artist Joey Spiotto's fake books that simply serve as art pieces, Little Golden Books are actually releasing two new Ghostbusters-themed books this year for kids (and parents) to enjoy. Both are written by John Sazaklis and illustrated by Alan Baston, and there's one devoted to Ivan Reitman's original '80s version and one devoted to Paul Feig's upcoming 2016 film. Check out the synopses:
For over 30 years the original Ghostbusters movie has been giving fans of all ages laugh-out-loud thrills and chills. Now, for the first time ever, boys and girls ages 3 to 7 can enjoy the classic Ghostbusters in a lighthearted Little Golden Book retelling that will introduce them to Slimer, Ecto-1, and, of course, the Ghostbusters!Thirty years after the original film took the world by storm, Ghostbusters is back and fully rebooted for a new generation. Force Awakens fever is still gripping the film industry two months after the release of the seventh Star Wars entry, and the world of cinema-centric books is just as Snoke-obsessed. But there’s plenty more worth snagging, including in-depth analyses of Pixar and Spike Lee’s Bamboozled, a lavish study of musicals, and a graphic stunner called Filmish.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary by Pablo Hidalgo (Dk Publishing)
Dk’s Star Wars visual dictionaries are, quite simply, must-owns. (Even the three prequel editions are fascinating.) And the Force Awakens Visual Dictionary might be the best yet. Author Pablo Hidalgo goes deep, providing everything you wanted to know about Jakku (but were afraid to ask), offering insight on briefly seen characters like Max Von Sydow’s Lor San Tekka, and breaking down exactly why the “crossguard blades” of Kylo Ren’s lightsaber are a necessity. Plus, the film stills...

Joey Spiotto has released a new book titled Alien Next Door from Titan Books and it’s officially licensed by 20th Century Fox. The book imagines a rather caring side to the alien monster in a cute coffee table read that would make any fan of the series or guest at your home smile accordingly.
There are several meta jokes for Alien franchise fans to enjoy and many pages of funny scenarios with the Xenomorph that you can make up stories for if you have a little cool enough to appreciate it.
Here are few examples:
Joey Spiotto is a graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. He has worked in the film and video game industry including some awesome things like The Polar Express for Warner Bros. as well as The Sims and Dead Space video games. Be sure to visit him online at www.jo3bot.

The Alien films have been freaking people out for decades, but now artist Joey Spiotto is trying to undo all that creepy work with his new picture book.
Alien Next Door reimagines the iconic xenomorph as a good-natured chap who just wants to be your friend.
The book reveals previously unknown facts about the creature, from its love of basketball, cats and camping to its dedication to oral hygiene.
Spiotto told io9 that he doesn't know whether the book has been seen by Ridley Scott or James Cameron.
"I hope that they enjoy how I totally made their horrifyingly scary creature cute and loveable," he said.
In news back in the world where the xenomorphs are still flesh-eating, egg-laying monstrosities, director Neill Blomkamp recently revealed that his Alien 5 movie has been put on hold while Scott works on his Prometheus follow-up, now confusingly titled Alien: Paradise Lost.

We all grew up reading Little Golden Books, and the classic stories shaped us and became part of who we are. Now artist Joey Spiotto has turned some of your favorite movies and TV shows into Little Golden Books style book covers. There’s something a little bit subversive about taking a movie with dark, adult themes and transposing it onto something innocent and bright. Dark stories are all the more disturbing when they’re flooded with light.
Spiotto opens up another level of analysis by drawing the adult characters as children. Look at Little Hugo, fat and happy, eating his favorite snacks. Now think about everything we saw him go through — the institution, the lottery, everything on the island, and think about that happening to sweet little Hugo. Good hell, it’s depressing.
On top of all that, the detail and illustrations are fantastic. I especially love that the...

Is there some 8-bit wizard out there who could make our arcade fantasies come true?
Alas, we've got a pocket full of quarters but only a handful of "What If?" game cartridges. We'd love to walk in the pixelated footsteps of Donnie Darko, get stuck in a loop on "Groundhog Day" and rule the blocky beaches of Miami with Tony Montana. And we will. In our 1-octet dreams.
Take a look at what's on our playlist below. Bonus points to Old Red Jalopy for these variations on this weekend's nostalgic video game saga (Sega?), "Wreck -It Ralph" and thank you to Joey Spiotto for the inspiration.
