After being delayed several months by the writers strike and the actors strike, season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things finally went into production at the start of the year and is now three months into its twelve month shooting schedule… but in the midst of filming, Finn Wolfhard is also doing the press rounds to promote the Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which is set to reach theatres on March 22nd. An interview with The Hollywood Reporter was part of his press tour, and during that conversation, Wolfhard was asked about the ongoing production of Stranger Things season 5, which will also be the final season of the show. Since this is how it wraps up, it seems fitting that Wolfhard said it will be a return of the dynamics of the first season.

After being delayed several months by the writers strike and the actors strike, season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things finally went into production at the start of the year – and it’s going to continue making its way through production for quite a while longer, as new cast member Linda Hamilton has said that filming is going to take an entire year. So we’re not going to see this season, which is the final season of the show, until sometime in 2025… and star Millie Bobby Brown is looking forward to the premiere date with excitement, because she says the final episodes are going to be “unbelievable.”
Speaking with Screen Rant, Brown said, “There’s not much I can tease, but I know everybody’s super excited. I just think if you’ve loved the seasons before, you trust the Duffers. They’re geniuses, and they’ll bring it like no other.

After being delayed several months by the writers strike and the actors strike, season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things finally went into production at the start of the year – but if you were hoping that might mean the new episodes will be available to watch on Netflix by the end of 2024, or even at the beginning of 2025, new cast member Linda Hamilton is here to dash those hopes. While speaking to Business Insider, Hamilton said Stranger Things season 5 will be filming for an entire year!
Hamilton said, “It’s a year of shooting, so I couldn’t be happier. Their season takes a year to shoot, which is just an unheard-of luxury of time. But the size of their day is also so beyond any scale that we’re used to.“

Nepotism in the entertainment industry has always been a contagious and concerning issue that often invites controversies as it subjugates talented individuals who do not possess the same influential connections. Such was the case with Maya Hawke, the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. The 25-year-old actress has appeared in a plethora of popular projects like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Stranger Things, Asteroid City, and many more.

However, it looks like the young star is suffering from the repercussions of her statements, which she said in a recent interview that bred resentment and hate among people. Maya Hawke fought the ‘nepo-baby’ status by proving her talent, but she believes that without her parent’s influence, she would not have enjoyed the same success.

After a long delay, Netflix’s immensely popular Stranger Things has gone into production for the last time. Millie Bobby Brown is treating this like “senior year” and is looking forward to the future, while executive producer and director Shawn Levy has been lining up projects like Deadpool 3 and a Star Wars movie. However, everyone involved also acknowledges the massive undertaking of ending such a cultural phenomenon as the show has been. Rumors have been flying about where the story of this final season may go and who might die.

Gaten Matarazzo is sharing ideas about what he would’ve changed about Stranger Things as the series ends after five seasons.
While appearing at a panel at Mega Con Orlando, Matarazzo was asked what changes he would make to the show.
“It might sound messed up but we should kill more people,” Matarazzo told the fan, according to Cbr. “This show would be so much better if the stakes were much higher, like at any moment, any of these kids can kick it. I feel like we’re all too safe.”
Matarazzo has played the role of Dustin Henderson throughout the series run of the Duffer Brothers created show that started in 2016.
In 2022, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley in the sci-fi series, also commented on having a “hero’s moment” for her character for the final season.

One of the new characters introduced in season 4 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things was Argyle, a pothead delivery boy for Surfer Boy Pizza who helps some of the returning characters get from California back to their hometown of Hawkins, Indiana. But if you were hoping to see actor Eduardo Franco reprise the role of Argyle in Stranger Things season 5, which will be the final season of the show… well, it sounds like you’re in for disappointment. But first he had to make an appearance at Motor City Comic Con, and during the show he confirmed that season 5 has “a very real ending” that wraps up the story.

The fifth and final season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things was supposed to go into production right around the time the writers strike hit earlier this year – so it had to be put on hold, and then there was another reason for it to stay on hold when the actors strike hit. When the writers strike ended in September, finishing the Stranger Things season 5 scripts was one of Netflix’s top priorities. And now that the actors strike has come to an end, Stranger Things season 5 is finally about to head into production. In fact, cast member David Harbour says it’s going to start filming in just a couple days!

Season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things is also going to be the final season of the show. It was supposed to be deep into production by now, but it has been slowed down due to the Hollywood strikes – first the writers strike, then the ongoing actors strike. It remains to be seen when filming is going to begin, but yesterday, November 6, 2023, was the 40th anniversary of the day Will Byers went missing in the town of Hawkins, Indiana in the first season of Stranger Things. So the show’s writers marked the occasion by sharing the first lines from the first episode of season 5 on social media:

Maya Hawke's portrayal of Robin Buckley, the quirky Hawkins teen who befriends Steve Harrington in the third season of "Stranger Things," quickly made her a fan favorite. As it turns out, Maya's foray into the Upside Down wasn't her intro to Hollywood, though; she's been around red carpet royalty her entire life. The 25-year-old actor is the child of two major stars: Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.
Thurman is best known for her roles as Mia in "Pulp Fiction" and The Bride in "Kill Bill: Volume 1" and "Kill Bill: Volume 2." Meanwhile, Ethan is known for playing Jesse in the Before trilogy and starred in the June 2022 horror film "The Black Phone." The pair met on the set of "Gattaca" in 1996 and married in 1998. They had two children, Maya and Levon Hawke, before separating in 2003 and divorcing in 2005. Ethan later married Ryan Shawhughes, and the pair went on to have two daughters,...

Season 5 of the Netflix series Stranger Things – which also happens to be the final season of the show – was supposed to be a couple months into filming at this point. But production was delayed by the writers strike, then the writers were joined on the picket lines by members of the Screen Actors Guild. Maya Hawke has some thoughts about where her character might be going in Stranger Things.
Over the course of season four of Netflix’s hit sci-fi series, Hawke’s Robin Buckley was crushing on Hawkins High’s marching band clarinetist Vickie (Amybeth McNulty). In the season finale, the two ladies were seen making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for those who were displaced by Vecna’s earthquakes.

Maye Hawke is opening up about Robin Buckley’s love life in the final season of Stranger Things. The star says she’s “mixed” about her character having an on-screen girlfriend for Season 5.
Robin ended up in Season 4 making Pb&J sandwiches with her crush Vickie (Amybeth McNulty) helping out displaced Hawkins residents following the disaster caused by Vecna.
“It’s both a great thing, and I also love characters where their love life is not the center of their existence,” Hawke told Yahoo! Entertainment in an interview recently.
However, the reason Hawke feels mixed about Robin being featured with a girlfriend is that that would take away from her on-screen scenes with Steve (Joe Keery).
“That friendship with Steve is so special,” Hawke added. “And friendships have been carrying me through my life. I think they’re really important and they deserve their airtime.”

Maya Hawke was the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Tuesday night. The Stranger Things star and singer/songwriter performed “Thérèse,” a cut from her recent sophomore album Moss.
Clad in a gold crown and an elaborate velvet dress, Hawke looked particularly regal as she took over the Fallon stage. Adding an unexpected twist, she kicked off the performance with the final moments of her song “South Elroy,” the track that appears right before “Thérèse” on Moss, before its seamless transition into the main song of the night.
Hawke might be best known to most audiences as Robin Buckley from Hawkins, Indiana, but her Fallon guest appearance proved that she can steal scenes on both the stage and the screen. Check out Maya Hawke’s enchanting performance of “Thérèse” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon below.

The Netflix series Stranger Things will be coming to an end with its fifth season, and filming is set to begin very soon. While cast member Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers on the show, has said that he will be reporting to the set in May, he co-star David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper, revealed during the Middle East Film & Comic Con in Abu Dhabi (as reported by Collider) that he will begin working on Stranger Things season 5 in June. And he promised that we can expect to see a Hopper who has been “well-fed” this time around, as opposed to the much smaller version of the character we saw in season 4.

The Netflix series Stranger Things will be coming to an end with its fifth season, and the beginning of the end is getting very close now. David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper on the show, has said he will be working on both Stranger Things and the Marvel movie Thunderbolts (which has a release date of July 26, 2024) at the same time in Atlanta this year. And now his co-star Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, has revealed when he’ll be reporting to set this year: right after he finishes his schoolwork in May.

The Netflix series Stranger Things will soon be heading into production on its fifth and final season – so soon that David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper on the show, will be working on both Stranger Things and the Marvel movie Thunderbolts at the same time in Atlanta this year. And cast member Sadie Sink is not looking forward to the show ending, saying that the idea of Stranger Things coming to an end is “scary and sad”.
Speaking with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush on Today, Sink said (with thanks to Deadline), “We know that it’s happening and that it’s the last season, so it’s going to be emotional, I’m sure. Spoiler-free, just with the way my character ended in season 4, I have no idea what is going to happen. But I’ll be there. … (Stranger Things ending) is going to be awful. It’s going to be horrible.

The most popular moment in season 4 of the Netflix series Stranger Things came when the character Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) played guitar along to the Metallica song “Master of Puppets” while facing off with the forces of evil in the Upside Down. And during a recent interview with Howard Stern, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich explained the decision to let the show use the song, and discussed what it was like to see the renewed interest in “Master of Puppets” thirty-six years after the song was first released.
Speaking with Stern, Ulrich said (with thanks to The Hollywood Reporter for the transcription), “It used to be, with Metallica, we were always the ‘no’ guys. … A few years ago, we reversed it, we did a 180. We just said, ‘You know what? This is stupid. Why are we hanging onto these [songs] like they’re so important, like they’re the crown jewels? Let...

David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, is going to be working on both the fifth and final season of Stranger Things and the Marvel movie Thunderbolts (where he’ll be reprising his Black Widow character Red Guardian) simultaneously for a while in Atlanta, Georgia next year, but that doesn’t mean the Stranger Things finale is going to receive any less of his attention that it deserves. In fact, during an interview with Collider Harbour said that he’s going to be pouring his soul into Stranger Things season 5.
Calling Hopper “the role of a lifetime in many ways”, Harbour said, “(Stranger Things season 5) will be my goodbye to Jim Hopper, which is a big deal. Fortunately, I feel like I have a long time to say goodbye because I think we’re going to take a long time shooting these episodes. … I...

Robert Downey Jr. is giving reigning Queen of Halloween Heidi Klum a run for her money. Well, Ok, her worm this year is almost impossible to top, but the Downey clan’s commitment to their costume is something to admire.
As seen in the photo below, Robert Downey Jr. and company went as characters from Stranger Things, with the patriarch leading the way as Jim Hopper. Also featured is Downey Jr.’s wife Susan as Robin Buckley (in Scoops Ahoy form), in addition to several other family members filling out the roles of Steve Harrington (also as the Scoops Ahoy variant), deceased Hawkins cheerleader Chrissy Cunningham, Hellfire Club head Eddie Munson (complete with devil horns), and, of course, Eleven. But it’s not just the main heroes. There’s also the Demogorgon and Vecna, showing that the Downey family is all caught up on the Netflix show.

Megan Thee Stallion has teased her potential involvement in the final series of Stranger Things via an Instagram post.
On Saturday (8 October), the rapper posted a series of photographs to social media showing her posing with a Stranger Things prompt card.
In the slideshow on Instagram, Megan showed off her themed nails, which feature a black widow spider design in apparent reference to the animal’s appearance in season four.
Another image from the selection depicted the star sat in a Netflix branded chair.
The images have lead fans to assume that this means Megan will be a part of the new season, despite the fact that creators recently suggested that new characters were unlikely.
In August, the show’s creators revealed that the fifth season will break from one of the show’s longstanding narrative traditions. At the beginning of each new season, the hit Netflix sci-fi series has...

Millie Bobby Brown isn't the only "Stranger Things" cast member who thinks the show should be more ruthless about killing off characters. In recent weeks, Maya Hawke — who of course, plays Robin Buckley on "Stranger Things" — has ventured out with a role in another Netflix title, "Do Revenge," the promotion of which saw her sitting down with her co-star Camila Mendes ("Riverdale") for a lie detector test via Vanity Fair. The questions veered straight into the Upside Down territory of spoilers, so if you aren't caught up with "Stranger Things" season 4 yet, look away now.
Mendes asked Hawke point-blank if she thought Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) should have died in season 4, to which Hawke responded, "I don't think he should have died, but I do think the show has too many characters." When asked if she thought anyone else should have died (to help whittle down the show's sprawling cast), Hawke said,...

Maya Hawke has heard the fan pleas, and she's fully on board for a "Stranger Things" spinoff series about Robin and Steve. Following the cinematic spectacle of season four, which premiered on May 27 and ended on July 1, Hawke took a moment to reflect on her character's future in Hawkins, a town where being a teenager with D&d-obsessed friends is basically a supernatural curse.
"I would love to die," she told Rolling Stone, pondering her character's fate. "I'd love to die with honor, as any actor would." The Duffer brothers, however, seem to have other plans for Robin Buckley. Hawke continued, "But I love the way that the Duffer brothers love their actors. The reason that they write so beautifully for me and for everyone else is because they fall in love with their actors and their characters, and they don't want to kill them. Stranger Things season 5 may be set for a 2024 release, but in the time before it hits, fans may live in fear of an inevitable demise that could be in store for one or more characters. Recently, it was reported that series producer, Shawn Levy, has put the kibosh on the return of Eddie Munson, who he admits the writers were obsessed with along with the audience. However, Eddie joined Barb, Bob, and Alexi in season one-off characters that would be set up for doom. With the fifth season looming, the Duffer Brothers have said they resist adding new characters to focus on the Og crew.
So, what does this mean for our main cast of characters? According to Deadline, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley, recently told Rolling Stone that she would not be averse to her character going out in a hero moment.

"Stranger Things" has come a long way from its humble Eggo waffle-munching beginnings. When the series first launched in 2016, it was just a simple story about a missing child, a telekinetic orphan, and a monster-filled alternate dimension.
... Okay, so maybe simplicity was never actually on the table, but there's no denying how much the series has changed over the years: the kids have gone from fighting nightmarish demogorgons to a war against the full-fledged eldritch horror, Vecna. Season 4 was so massive that Netflix opted to split the release in two — and it wasn't hard to understand why, given the super-sized episodes and sprawling plot lines. This is the kind of show that gets bigger by the season, with more dangerous threats, more complicated lore, and above all: More. Characters. But according to the showrunners themselves, the Duffer brothers, that last part is about to change.

“Stranger Things” Season 4 garnered 13 Primetime Emmy nominations on Tuesday, including outstanding drama series.
But the Netflix sci-fi series received no acting nods for any of its stars, a shock to those who believed that at the very least, Sadie Sink was a shoo-in among the 22 “Stranger Things” cast members submitted for noms. This marks the second time that the show has been shut out of all Emmys acting categories, with the previous being no acting nominations given for “Stranger Things” Season 3.
Sink and Millie Bobby Brown were sent in under the supporting actress in a drama series category for their work on “Stranger Things 4,” but those eight noms instead went to Patricia Arquette (“Severance”), Julia Garner (“Ozark”), Jung Ho-yeon (“Squid Game”), Christina Ricci (“Yellowjackets”), Rhea Seehorn (“Better Call Saul”), J. Netflix's decision to save the final two episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 until July 1 didn't go down well with fans.
The streaming service dropped a full-length trailer for the final two episodes on Tuesday, and it looks like we're in for another A+ conclusion for the 1980s-set drama.
The mission to save Hawkins is poised to be Eleven's biggest battle to date, and after learning how she and Vecna know each other on Stranger Things Season 4 Episode 7, well, it's going to lead to some more heartbreak.
The trailer utilizes Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill," once again to build the tension as all of these characters prepare to fight demons, both literal and physical.
One scene that sticks out from the trailer features Max caught by Vecna again, likely teasing a brutal beatdown between the pair.

Following a brief teaser hidden in the credits of Volume 1, Netflix has released the official trailer for “Stranger Things 4 Volume 2” that gives a look at the epic conclusion of the blockbuster show’s penultimate season — and prominently features Kate Bush’s resurgent hit “Running Up That Hill.”
Fans waited nearly three years for “Stranger Things” Season 4, and it arrived in two halves. The seven-episode “Stranger Things 4 Volume 1” debuted on May 27 and surprised fans with its epically long episodes. Indeed, each episode’s runtime ran over an hour in length, but the show’s longest episode to date arrives in Volume 2.
