The HIV virus was portrayed with realism and the film portrayed the main character's strength and dignity in the face of discovering her illness and the fact that her husband gave it to her. She also had the dignity and strength to take care of him to his death while caring for her daughter, dealing with her illness and beating back the prejudices and fears of other villagers. It was thoughtful and haunting and made me feel her pain and sorrow. It was excellent.
