I enjoyed A Bird in the Hand, a Columbo instalment from 1992, especially seeing Tyne Daly (of Cagney and Lacey fame) and Greg Evigan (of B. J. and the Bear fame). Greg plays the nephew of Tyne's character, and I think it's suggested they were casual lovers which means the characters weren't blood related I guess.
A Bird in the Hand is unusual in that there's a zig zag of murders. Three murder victims, two murders, with one murderer murdering the other. So not the usual Columbo episode with one murderer and one victim.
Columbo succeeds at the end in solving all three murders so all in a day's work.
