It is not because the story is new, because this type of story is a classic. What is new here is the savior role - in this case a female. Not a hero as such, but super tough and actionable - that not only doesn't hesitate to take decisions, but seems to take the right ones to have her dear ones survive. A lot of surprises, psychological terror, courage, cool fighting scenes, being united and split at the same time, and a lot of other good stuff.
It was great to finally see a movie with a female in this type of role, and not always a story written for a male actor. Thumbs up, and more of this please.
