It's no surprised that Rob Bowman, who directed this rather surreal season two finale, went on to direct many episodes of The X-Files, because Diner '75 has that atmosphere that would be a trademark of The X-Files.
Anyway, Diner '75 is the final time we see Frank Lemmer (played by Taj Johnson) and Diner employee and sage Nick Comstock (played by Paul Johansson). It's a shame both left, and there's no real reason given why. Anyway, 20 years later Paul directed Atlas Shrugged Part 1 which starred Taylor Schilling.
Season 2 also marked the end of the "fun" element of Parker Lewis Can't Lose, ushering in the more relationship oriented approach in season three.
