Hollywood level movie but with the look from the outside
perica-431515 August 2018
Turks are not Iranians, their Islamic cinematography has much to be desired. Yet even they, provided sufficient money, can reach Hollywood level entertainment quality, and this movie certainly proves that, so emulating Hollywood, which is typically even more shallow and stupid but shiny and bombastic, is really possible anywhere. What Turks bring to the table is realism, realism in portrayal of american war criminal mentality that plagues the world in the last decades. It is a satisfying antidote to Hollywood stupidity of patriotic shallow stupid pro-Amurican anti everyone else propaganda, and is both technically and morally superior to average CIA propaganda vomit like Black hawk down or Top gun. That being said, it is still a mediocre movie with only its objectivity to elevate it above it.

Is it really anti-semitic manure?
eat_more_chikin3 February 2006
I liked this movie.. I know it was a big deal back in Turkey, since it had a soap opera and all but I didn't have any knowledge about that when I watched the movie. If you think this movie is anti-semitic or brings up the issue of raising anti-American spirit, I'd like to remind you the midnight express movie. Americans shall be as well very familiar with the effect of a wrong assumption/judge-mental movie... You see it here in the United States every day, on TV, on movies and etc. I don't understand what is the big deal when another country does the same to the US? We should have the same criterion's for any movie not depending on their nationality but their qualifications. So overall, I suggest this movie not only because it is a perception of another culture also because it is a fun adventure type movie..

The other side of the medal
rawkidd23 February 2006
As mentioned before here somewhere, there is a true hysteria on going in Europe about this movie, which i don't understand at all. Why is it, that people get up now and denunciate the content. What is wrong with them guys ? I mean Hollywood produced Bullsh.. for years, and told so called "true" stories one-sided and no one ever said a word about their manipulative policy. Russians have been showed bad and evil for years, then the Japanese, then the Arabian world and it always was OK. Who says, the good guys are always American ? Who says justice is being made by stars'n'stripes ? Once Oliver Stone dragged a whole country and its people in the mud and every consumer thought, ooohhh yeah, so this is what Turkey is about. And when the Turks complained about that movie, Hollywood's answer was: Hey, it's just a movie. Don't take serious. Exact the same thing word, is what I'm saying now: Hey, it's only Showbiz !!! But back to the movie.

Valley of Wolves sure has some lacks in professionalism but what has to be said: the movie is thrilling. Besides the American actors, which are chosen very well, the Turkish ones have some work to do to take place in the higher class. But of course, there are also very touching moments, like the Hospital visit from the main character. The special and action effects are not bad but are too limited in its volume to be really spectacle.

I think it is a solid action movie and for once told from the other side than the usual "hero saves the world" stuff.

cheers.

Just a B-action movie, but behind it is a very good message
Aylmer23 February 2007
It's actually surprisingly slick for a Turkish movie, considering it's also part of an ongoing TV series, kinda like their "24".

The Good:

The actors all did well, and I'm surprised to see so many real American actors, including Busey and Zane in such a blatantly anti-war movie. The music The cinematography The editing The special effects

The Bad:

The production design is cheap by movie standards. The US military uniforms are not very believable and many of the US soldiers speak with thick accents (especially the jailer at Abu Ghraib). The plot is not believable, with the four Turkish special forces guys taking out a LOT of American G.I.'s at the climax. The US soldiers are shown to be cartoonishly evil - one guy even kills one of his own men for threatening to tell on him for killing some Iraqi civilians! Gary Busey as a Jewish Doctor harvesting organs to send to the West - a bit far fetched.

As ludicrous as it gets, this movie is a real eye-opener to how the Islamic world sees us. The war is controversial and polarizing here, just like this movie and most Americans are gonna love it or hate it long before they actually watch it. I liked it. One almost never sees an American (non-documentary) movie with the guts to be so completely one-sided, especially when our questionable foreign policy is involved. US soldiers as the bad guys, led by a fanatical Christian zealot, is definitely not something one sees every day. This movie is kinda like THE OMEGA CODE 2 turned on its head. Between the bad and the good, VALLEY OF THE WOLVES: IRAQ at least never fails to be entertaining.

Polat Alemdar goes to Iraq, not only with the usual weapons, but also with the usual mentality...
imedebe1 February 2006
After being the top TV series of Turkey for many years, Kurtlar Vadisi (Valley of the Wolves) now appears as a cinema film. Year 1996 was a break stone in Turkish cinema history, in which Eskiya (The Bandit) was seen by more than one million people, which could be counted a very high number for that time. People started to revise their opinions about the national cinema. After Eskiya, high-budget movies followed, being seen by millions of people, and giving out the signs that Turkey was in fact a really profitable country for film-making, if the needs of the people were analyzed well. The result of the analysis is simple: People would pay for the movies if they knew the cast from television. Good or bad, every movie having its basis on TV worked well on the screen. Kurtlar Vadisi Irak will do good on the screen, without any doubt, for the same reason. However, there is a difference now. The movie is based on the characters from the series, but the story is completely different. It zooms in the war in Iraq, with a different subjectivity than the American one. The makers of the movie could base the story on the mafia events that the viewers of the TV series were used to, but they took a risk and carried the war to the screen. Billy Zane appears in the movie, which will take the attention of international viewers. Time will show, if the movie is going to be a success out of Turkey, but we can say, it has simply guaranteed the top in Turkey.

My salute to the producer
j19921 May 2006
The making itself is not that great as most viewers have said. However, the action is entertaining enough. But I think what is more important is the subject of the movie. I'm glad that someone is finally has the gut to make a movie on the real injustice that committed by the America. It's amazing how many narrow minded people actually refuse to accept the truth about US army in Iraq. The massacre of civilian by US solder has already been reported by Time magazine and now the US defend department finally bowed to public pressure to investigate. Here's a report by US newspaper so no more arguments about the fact behind this movie. www.registerguard.com /news /2006 /05 /20 /a3.nat.iraqprobe.0520.p1.php?section=nation_world. (you need to remove the spaces in between to form a valid url)

I just hope we have a real hero like in the movie as well.

Open Your Eyes See The World
Redback2011 April 2006
Finally someone made something different then what we always use to see from Hollywood, The Americans use to be always the one who save the world and always the goods the winners, before was movies about Vietnam, they use to be the bad ones and then the Russians, one American man fighting against all the Russian army (Rambo) and now who else the Arabs ? If they have the right to show to the whole world that Viet army is bad and Russians too so whats wrong with this Kurtlar Vadisi... First time someone made something different then Hollywood use to show us always and now they become a shame ? I don't see any shame in this movie, it was a good movie i enjoyed there is some truth and some fiction in it but at least its not Rambo ;) more realistic then that...Open your eyes people!

Plain Nonsense
baris7475 February 2006
I saw it yesterday at a local movie theater. As a turk, I think it is a depiction of anti-americanism run amok in turkey. The main reason behind this attitude is the thought that if we don't stand in solidarity with our neighbor (Saddam's Iraq) we would be the next to be hit. In addition to this came the economical damage caused by 1991 gulf war and America's prospects of establishing a kurdish state in the oil rich areas of Iraq where also many turcomen are deported from their villages. These prospects are explained in detail in the movie.

In reflecting the personalities of people from a different culture, this movie is very much like "midnight express". In midnight express each and every one of the turks in the movie was a sadistic villain. Likewise, Kurtlar Vadisi depicts all of the Americans as plain villains. Additionaly, the sight of American soldiers driving a Mercedes army truck from 60's is just hilarious. Also my personal belief is that the organ trading cannot be done officially, as is depicted in the movie. With Gary Busey and Billy Zane starring it is easy to see that it could only be a B-movie.

I hate this movie as much as I hate midnight express because it does not serve a useful purpose except for making it harder for different cultures to know each other and get along.

Some quotes from the movie: Doctor: You just can't treat those prisoners like that. They are people, not animals. Sam's assistant: I have more respect for animals than I have for those iraqis, sir.

Great action movie - very controversial in the west
Andy-29616 December 2006
A commando of Turkish intelligence agents enter Irak to avenge a real life episode in the war where Turkish soldiers were arrested and blindfolded by American troops. A very good action film, condemned unseen by many in the west, it represents at least a change of pace by showing the Muslims as the good guys and the Americans as the bad guys. The movie is actually very strongly against terrorism (the Sheikh in the movie criticizes the terrorists who wants to behead an American journalist, and prevents this from happening) but is also against American ignorant meddling in the Middle East. Most of all, though, Valley of the Wolves is a terrific action movie. And Billy Zane - who has apologized to the American press for appearing in this film - has actually one of the best performances in his career as a real meanie.

One of the most shocking movies ever
anastas-mk17 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The plot seems irrational. But this movie, for the rest of the world, plays much bigger role than just a movie - it tells us some stories that we couldn't even imagine. Thumbs up for the brave motion picture about the whole hegemony we are witnesses of... and, the message is that they can't shoot or bribe us all. About the anti-semitism: when a movie favors the Islam, it doesn't mean it discriminates the Jews. I am an atheist, but I have some Muslim friends - they are not terrorists. The US are serving paranoia among the world's population... and this movie is the opposite - it serves us the reality... And the reality has not been broadcasted on CNN.

Hard to Believe

Warning: Spoilers
Finally ,Turkiye is spending some money on a flick and it ends like this ? Come on... Its not nice to enhance the truth with baloony, imaginary frames. The things happened in Iraq was a fact, the hostage situation on Turkish soldiers was a shame but this is not the way to show it. If you put just 1 lie in a pile of truth you will rot all of it. I mean its not the true way to create a superhero to catch up all those happenings and turn the whole truth into a freak show. My opinion is Turkiye should have put all that money on a documentary which would be a lot better. Because this movie only shows that pride of innocent people and those honorful soldiers back there is saved by Turkish mafia. Well... BS... Turkey is strong as a nation, and well known with honor and honesty. Its hard to believe that this movie is putting a mafia character on the scene as a saviour. The Turkiye that I know is getting its power from hearts of honest, hard working people. Not some spoiled, undercover , mafia poster child. As a Turk. I feel offended.

Turkish addendum to how our world has gone out of control.
azrailangelo19 February 2006
In times of "Syriana", "Constant Gardener" and "Lord of War" this movie is the Turkish addendum to how our world has gone out of control. It is more right than ever to say that those who have power want more power those who have money want more money in any circumstances without any morals. So I wonder why some people complain about these facts, when this movie shows them to the viewers, if those people are for democracy, freedom and equality between all humans. Almost every mature man and woman knows and understands why the US has gone in to Iraq. After it has been covered up, what had been obvious to most of the Turkish and middle-eastern people, it was only a question of time, when such a movie would come out.

While "Syriana" reflects the dirty business of oil and corruption, while "Constant Gardener" reflects the dirty business of pharmaceuticals and corruption and while "Lord of War" reflects the dirty business of gunrunners and corruption "Kurtlar Vadisi Irak" gives a little bit insight what is going on in a country, occupied by those who want more power and more money, whatever it may costs in human-lives and human-dignity.

About the events shown in this movie, we have been aware of through various media before, haven't we? So what changes our minds as mature and righteous human beings, when we see those events in a movie, played by actors? We should condemn them in the same way we did before no matter if it is a bombing of innocents by the occupiers or if it is a bombing of innocents by suicide-attacks.

Is this an anti-Us movie? No this is an anti-war, anti-corruption and an anti-imperialism movie. "Kurtlar Vadisi Irak" does not condemn a whole nation like once "Midnight Express" did in the most shabby way, it damns those who know no ethical standards and show no respect to other cultures, religions and nations.

Better than I expected
denoxis17 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Finally a Turkish movie that was planned, budgeted, and executed well. (If you think this one is cheesy I invite you to watch some Turkish movies) After I read the reviews I thought it was simply trashing Americans to boost the Turkish pride. I purchased the DVD online, and quality of this movie surprised me.

This movie is about the adventures of a gang (not a real gang, just buddies from Turkish Special Forces) in Iraq running after one powerful guy (Zane) for revenge. That powerful guy happens to be head of some special operations in Iraq who also arrested Turkish soldiers with bags on their heads (which is a true story).

Obviously there are good guys, and bad guys. Good guys are Turks while the enemy is the "Americans". But it is not about defeating the "enemy". "Enemy" has already won the war: Turkish agent communicate with Iraqi girl in English - Enemy's language; also when they are in the restaurant one Turkish guy said no need to eat apple pie there because they already have that in McDonalds back in Turkey. Obviously no war to win - this is a pure fight between one powerful guy and handful of avengers.

It reflects Islamic philosophy very well. Please do not get offended thinking it is a pure propaganda, take your time and listen to the praying in the background when people are forced to leave their town. Some scenes are also artistic and worth to watch (such as the singing & praying ceremony around the Muslim cleric) Zane's performance is the best, a typical powerful and bad character that fits him very well since Titanic. There are some references to the real events such as arresting Turkish officials as stated above, Abu Gharib scandal and such. This power abuse was exaggerated in to an extend to make the movie more effective, and it works.

Why spending that much budget to make this movie? To restore the pride? Maybe. If you think it was unnecessary, I invite you to explore eastern culture a little bit more. Honor is very important in some cultures, and some people just live for that (remember hara kiri?) In this movie one of the Turkish officials also suicides because of the arrest in Iraq, and he only asks for revenge as his will. That's when all this starts.

Overally, it was a nice action/drama/politic movie. Order the DVD online if you can it is worth the $20. I give this movie 7/10.

Junk
edessa-110 March 2006
This movie is all hallucination, but probably a means to a suspicious end. With regard to its quality, though the production budget is enormous for a Turkish film, the acting is horrendous, the plot is immature, and even the Turkish spoken in the film is dubbed. One also cannot help notice the fact that people of power have been behind the publicity of the movie as almost more headlined news articles were showed up about the film than newspaper ads while the politicians were the first to praise the film. The result was a new Turkish box office record, but hardly any profit. One would have to ask "Why?" And the movie is a vehicle to misrepresent Turkey as the people behind the film hardly represent the thoughts of the majority of Turkish people who have been silenced by pressure imposed upon them by the extremists.

Another perspective
Tarquin_Q_Zanzibar25 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I was astonished at what I was watching when I first saw this film; not because of the content, but because, although I live in "the free West", I had never seen a depiction of current events which had it's own perspective - one diametrically opposed to the usual US/Western viewpoint.

Some of the incidents portrayed in the movies, e.g. the US troops opening fire on a wedding party & it's consequences, the "ventilation" of prisoners trucks by shooting them up, and the "Hooding" sequence which opens the film, (which had great resonance in Turkey, as it mirrors a notorious incident)are based on actual occurrences. The portrayal of Gary Busey as a ghoulish Jewish organ stealer however, is such an overblown gruesome parody that it allows the films critics to claim anti-semitism with justification and is the low point of the film; it lessens the impact of a very powerful movie otherwise. Everyone ought to see this film, if only to see how the US appears in the eyes of others, even it's allies. Even if one doesn't agree with the film's viewpoint, it throws into relief the one-sided views of mainstream Western films. The production values are surprisingly good, and it works well as a straight-forward action movie. The heroes elicit admiration & empathy, and the moral message is carried by the local Islamic leader's steadfast refusal to sanction terrorism in the name of Islam.

Disappointing, primitive and a bad example on a serious conflict!
rugal15 February 2006
I've seen this movie with very high expectations. I expected a serious movie on one of the most controversy settings in our world today: Iraq. But this movie was just so primitive, trivial, full of stereotypes, and overloaded with plates that it's just disgusting!

Everyone who thinks this movie is a serious depiction on the conflicts and problems in Iraq, knows nothing! The only fact is the view in Abu Ghraib on female G.I.! But again it has got no connection to the storyline!

Sam William Marshall was the characterization of the American "Beast" in Middle East! His name "Sam" summons up all Americans. He is a fanatic Christ on his own crusade in Iraq. Then we got a Jewish doctor, who nearly acts like Nazi-doctor Dr. Mengele! Very innovative!

*Thumbs down*

A movie about how terrorism is bad and Islam is peaceful.
quel-sac-affreux24 May 2008
Warning: Spoilers
From reading the comments here, it's obvious that many people see "Kurtlar vadisi - Irak" as solely anti-American propaganda. I do not agree with this.

The purpose of this film isn't to bash America, it's to show the world how terrorism is bad and Islam is peaceful. The real hero isn't the special forces guy who takes on the American army with only a couple of pistols and some comic reliefs, but the wise sheik (Ghassan Massoud) who goes around preaching true Islam and stopping terrorists. He is the one who truly delivers the people from the oppressors with his kindness, wisdom and speeches about peace, patience and whatnot.

Americans are demonized here for sure, but not for any particular reason other than that SOMEONE has to be the bad guy, and they happen to have an army in the region.

The film's strongest points are (besides from any scene with the sheik) the extremely strong acting performance by Billy Zane as an insane homicidal zealot and the awesomely done suicide bombing.

There were a couple of things that bothered me though, for example wikipedia tells me that this is the most expensive Turkish film ever made, but apart from the scenes with explosions, everything looks to me like something Hollywood could've done in the early eighties. Especially the gunfights are by far less spectacular than what I'm used to. Another thing that bothers me is the bad guy, not that he is Amercian but that we don't know who he is. He acts like the supreme dictator of Iraqi Kurdistan or something, murdering as he pleases and commanding the American army (which appears to be made up of 'roid-raging bodybuilders with all kinds of generic and distinctively un-military bad guy-haircuts)for no particular reason, really, what's up with that?

In conclusion, don't look at this movie as a political one pro- or against America and the war, look at it as an attempt to present Islam as an religion of peace while still offering some moderate action and awesome explosions.

This movie definitely hits the top 3 list of "Worst Movies I've ever seen List"
neuer_wiener16 February 2006
Well first of all i am Turkish. I think it's important to state this little detail so that everyone out there knows that not all of Turkish people liked this cheesy movie.

Well where should i start from hmm it's definitely one of the worst movies i have ever seen in terms of Production, Acting, Proffesionality, script, post-production, credibility etc.. The script is written based on true stories like taking hostage of Turkish soldiers by so called FRIENDLY(!) Unites States Soldiers or the systematic torturing of prisoners by United States Soldiers that happened (and definitely still happening) in Ebu Garib prison in IRAK, The killings of people at a wedding ceremony and how US has been speculating in the region for the last 20 years provoking KURDS ARABS and TURKMENS against each other. However though the movie is shot so BAD that for anyone and especially an average American it is very far away from being credible. Even the uniforms and the outlooks of American soldiers in the movie are so far away from reality (i mean they look like Rambo or steven Segal) who would believe it. And than the action scenes they are so cheesy. Our Turkish heroes walk into a Hotel, plant bombs but they decide not to detonate it because of innocent children (brought especially into the building by CIA to take advantage of Turkish soldiers humanity) and then just walk out and drive away among 100's of American soldiers without getting a Head-shot from a sniper. How can you expect anyone to believe this crap.. It is a very cheap production taking advantage of the successful TV series(in terms of Ratings;that's another chapter to talk about) I regret every cent i've spent for the ticket. And one more thing; There are some Hollywood movies showing the reality about US overseas operations and war politics, such as Black Hawk Down, Lord of War, Jarhead, Spy Game, Bourne Identity, Tailor of Panama just to name a few...

Not the usual US propaganda!
eksellentz23 April 2007
The movie achieved it's goal, at least if you've looked over some of the comments here! The Yanks are furious, they call it a lie and propaganda. They are so brainwashed by they're so called "free media" (read - owned by the rich moguls close to the federal government) that seeing a different aspect of "The Great US Iraq crusade" is making them angry. But - at least - it plants a seed of doubt of their own government's intentions and actions abroad. So the movie has already achieved it's goal - made the people think and doubt the official propaganda that Bush's administration feeds to them.

To say a few words about the movie itself - well, it's definitely NOT a masterpiece of the cinema. But it's provocative and brave - that is more than enough.

Way to go, Turks! 10 points to you!

First half looks very promising, the end is selling the movie
siderite14 June 2006
If The Da Vinci Code used the woman child of Christ as a controversial subject, Valley of the Wolves uses the barbaric acts of Americans in Iraq. The rest is mainly action.

As an action movie, though, it is a surprisingly good movie. The action scenes are realistic and the beginning of the movie makes you hate Americans like there's no tomorrow. But the ending is something like Rambo. That's why, even is the direction is good and the acting is good, the script seems half finished.

There are good ideas in the film: Islam is a religion of peace for those who truly understand it, all people have a right to dignity, terrorism is stupid, while intelligent and informed attack is the only true way of making a difference. Bad ideas include Gary Busey in a really small role as a doctor trafficking organs from "detainees" and a religious fanaticism in Billy Zane.

The script is not about Turkish soldiers captured by the Americans, that's only a pretext to show brutal torture, mindless killing and superior disregard to human life, all from the part of the Americans, commanded by insane Christian zealot Billy Zane. Zane basically plays Demon Knight again and if you take Billy Zane and make it Russian or Chinese, if you take Necati Sasmaz and make him American and if you make Necati invincible and saving all the innocent people in the end, you have your typical US action movie.

The sad fact is that while the brutality of the soldiers in Iraq is grossly exaggerated, some of the scenes in the movie are based on true events: the torture and humiliation of detainees by making them strip and sitting on top of each other, indiscriminate killing of people just because they don't matter enough and the way power can corrupt in the most disgusting ways. It is sad because you watch the movie and you don't feel that there is something wrong, it seems believable that people would act this way, Americans or not.

The highlight of the movie is the discourse of the Sheikh, who tells his daughter (recently deposed of her child and groom to be by US fire) that blowing herself up would not serve Allah, it would only increase hopelessness and damage Islam and he advises patience. But later he says patience is not submission, but struggle.

Piece of anti-semitic trash
craigamon16 February 2006
Warning: Spoilers
In this gem, American soldiers kill Iraqis at a wedding and Jewish doctor (Busey) harvests the survivors' organs at Abu Ghraib to sell to rich folks in the West. Zane plays a U.S. "peacekeeper sent by God." The Turks and the Iraqis get together and kill the American occupiers, which is presented as a happy ending.

I can understand Busey taking this part, he can't get work and he took a few knocks to the head on his motorcycle sans helmet, but Zane? He's always held out for the real classy projects, like "Charmed" and "BloodRayne."

Don't get me wrong, I think the US invasion of Iraq was a colossal mistake by stupid, evil people- I marched against it- and Bush is a war criminal. That doesn't excuse this garbage.

This movie can help us understand how many Turkish, Arabic or Muslim people feel and think
cb-7120 February 2006
Most German newspapers (e.g. www.spiegel.de) said the film is anti-American, anti-Jewish, anti-Christian, and is bad because it deepens the existing "culture clash" even more.

I don't agree. Well, of course the movie is one-sided. With a single exception the Americans in the movie are unscrupulous, dead-heartened and bloodthirsty. They humiliate people of other countries/cultures/religion, don't care about deaths of innocent civilians, maltreat prisoners, etc. Of course most Americans are not like this, but as we know from the pictures and videos from Abu Ghureib and from several other incidents, most of these things did really happen. Why should it be not allowed to show these things in a movie? One scene remind me strongly of holocaust movies: captives are transported on a long journey in a container on a truck. One guard says to the other: they might suffocate in the container because there is no fresh air supply. The truck stops, the (American) guard gets off the truck and fires with an automatic gun hundreds of bullet-holes into the container and creates a bloodbath among the captives. Well, if a holocaust movie shows German Nazis committing terrible things, I don't object too. OK, I don't really know if something like this container incident did really happen in Iraq, but we know that many bad enough things did actually happen.

There are interesting scenes e.g. where a sheik stops some fanatists from executing an American journalist and confronts them with facts why this has nothing to do with Islam, or another one where he discusses with suicide bombers why their plans are wrong.

This movie can help us understand how many Turkish, Arabic or Muslim people feel and think. It is provocative, one-sided, and mixes historic truth with fiction in a questionable way. However isn't that a good starting point for discussing these issues? Sometimes provocation is necessary to get people start talking. First we need to learn to talk about our own feelings. Then we can talk to each other. It's not very healthy if the political correctness keeps telling us to not talk about what we really think and feel just because it could violate other peoples feelings.

A good movie from the 'other' side
jgunther-312 March 2006
After so many American movies where the bad ones are the "others", be it Germans, Russians, blacks, latinamericans, Chinese, japs, Afghans or Iraqis, it is refreshing to see a movie from the other side, full into the face of the ugly US-American! The film shows many situations we have heard about in the newspapers, albeit the story about chasing organs seems to be strongly exaggerated. Battle scenes are realistic and intense albeit separated by interminable, never ending dialogs. It is a pity the Americans are played by Turkish or Arab actors, or at least not typical American faces! Was it impossible to find enough big, blond, blue-eyed faces to play that part?

not a single corrector looks genuine. the "blackwatter" contractors look like they were pit up at a heavy metal concert and haven't sobered up.

and the soldier's are as convincing as the the storyline. which includes

2 men per military convoy carrying wedding POWs in a container??????.

the bad guy from under siege as a Jewish Dr.mangler in Iraq.

American soldier's who can not understand nor speak English.

and my faverit Americans using children as human shilds .... i wonder wher they got that idea GAZA?

Hassidic Jew in Iraq.

if the movie was labeled as comedy it wood be bearable , but the fact that the makers claim its based on fact only shows how gullible it targeted audience is

Finally a movie where we all see the real side of the U.S.

I loved the TV series and I liked this movie. It is provocative and very real also. We finally see the real side of the U.S. and their twisted politics. I love seeing Americans lose. I love Polat Alemdar and 24/7 serious face. I think I will watch the TV series after this movie. 7/10
