In the UK, we're an incredible 9 months behind the USA and it's seemed an age for this second season to hit these shores. After a long wait, the opening episode is something of an anticlimax.
The beautiful Jaime Pressly delights as Joy Turner, a woman who can pull the most outrageous expressions (which are captured in freeze-frame at appropriate moments), and Jason Lee is always spot-on with his comic delivery. I think this episode failed to really hit the mark due to a relatively poor script. And, to be honest, I missed the presence of the exquisite Nadine Velazquez.
7 out of 10. Not a great start to the season but I'm confident things will improve as the show progresses.
